I am so glad that I googled her name and address that she gave me. Somehow it linked me to this site. I have been emailing back and forth with her all week getting the same exact emails that she has sent to others on this site, word for word. This is the email I received from her this morning at 4am after I emailed her to her response to me on 6/6, I had mentioned that we should talk instead of emailing, I am glad that I did not give her my address, I asked for her what time I could talk to her first and this is the reply she gave me

We continued to exchanged emails and she sent me pictures of herself.  She said that she would send a deposit check for more than the amount that was asked.  This seemed odd but she reassured me that the additional amount was to pay for the movers.  Now this seemed really odd since I would imagine that paying the movers should be between her and the movers.  I googled "Craiglists Rental Scams" and found that a common scam involves the potential renter sending a deposit check for more than the asked amount and then saying something like "Oh, I accidentally overpaid.  Please send me the amount of the difference." So the landlord sends part of the money back and then it turns out that the initial check was fraudulent.  Scam.  Anyways, "Jasmine" is being really evasive now.    

She contacted me again through Craigslist with a new email address and new name.  She is going under the name of Betty Williams now and is a student working on her masters in Hawaii.  All of my original file on her as Jasmine Williams is with the sheriff's department........never thought of going to the Postal Service!  Good luck everyone!

How can nobody trace her phone number if there is only a coue of them?? Has anyone that you know of gotten there money back?

So I decided to check the number 6058367571 and that's when I found the scam emails she send to other people. I got the same message.  My radar beeped when I never got a phone call, and the more she wrote, the more suspicious I became.  Ridiculous!  What does she hope to gain?  I gave her my address and phone number, but what can she do with that?  I don't understand.  She used the name Mimi Williams with me.  How can we report this kind of thing?  It is such a waste of time and energy.  You're right.  Where is the FBI?  Where is the Sheriff?  How can we stop this.

I wish I would've researched this sooner.  I was just taken by this person.  I was in search of someone to sublease my apartment-and I fell for the scam.  I am a student-only 19 years old and I've just been taken for 2200.00.  Exact same name and script-but this one said she was living in Pierre SD wanting to relocate here she was also tied to Delhi India.  Also, said she was a yoga instructor.  Be AWARE people!  Kiara R Jones-from Pierre S.
