Where do I report this to/who do i report this to?

I just got her moneygram money orders for 970, three each. And held onto them without cashing until I could talk to someone at a bank, but then I randomly decided to google her name because the checks looked fake. And I am so glad I found this! Thank you all for this!

Same thing... She wanted me to send the money back. I called the money gram number to verify checks...no good of course. So sorry to hear that these people have scammed so many people

I have been geting all the same stuff. Word for word. Emails ,texts and today i got back from work and had a certified lettet with a cahiers check from this bank- Family Security credit union, address is 2204 family security place s.w. Dectur, AL. 35603. Dated 2/11/14 , check #0000529226. In the amount of 2,964 dollars. I havent touched the check and little touching of envelope. Going to turn it into the authorities come tues.
Iam in billings mt , this should be fun.

Just got the same message from "Kari Williams" from Fargo, SD.  Glad I checked and glad you posted!

"Kari Williams from Fargo, ND, 27" is now using another number and trying to get people through renting inquiries. 701-317-7802 is the new number, but I would not have been able to confirm my suspicions had people not reported such detailed info. THANK YOU ALL. "my mother died of cancer" and "travel nurse" as a profession. I'm a christian, don't drink or smoke, etc. the address posted leads to the main website of a nice apartment complex, and i even received a photo that did not match up with any other google information, other than the person googled words themselves and picked a profile that all linked to public health or nursing, or the city they suggested.

unfortunately any response with any information could be used in the next fraudulent profile. I'd better not get my hopes up on being unmarred :/

Wow! What a Scam!  I guess I was fortunate!  I emailed back & forth, was ready to accept deposit but asked my daughter to email and ask them to call.  So Glad!  My guardian angel was on duty! Kari Williams was at 4955 17th Ave. S.W., Fargo, ND

If the check was mailed to you by US Mail you should send a copy of the check to the Postal Inspector where the check originated from.  This is among other things, clearly using the mails for fraudulent purposes.  If she is sending so many bogus checks by mail, why hasn't the postal inspectors investigated this situation and arrested her?

Report all bogus checks to postal authorities as well as bank and law enforcement.  

Did the same with mine that I received from her..  I'm in Lasalle, CO.

Good call!  Didn't even think of that for some reason.  I will do this ASAP!

Update:
Just got a reply to my posting about her on Craigslist.  She is trying in Idaho now,  couple going by the names of Bryan and Sarah Curtis. Same housekeeping add I replied to and number they gave me for contact.  

Kari Williams is emailing me back and forth currently.. I just sent her more pics of my home- she sent me pics of herself and said she would be emailing me her number in her next email so we can text... I told her I do not text but maybe we could skype.. I want to thank you because I am being scammed and had no idea.. I am a trusting person.. My husband thought it seemed suspicious so he googled her name and the paragraph about her mother dying of cancer etc.. wow... I think I will play along with her for a while longer.... any suggestions.. since she is working on scamming me right now maybe we can get her caught ( or him right?)

I am in Hudson NH and she is scamming me right now.. should I play along? I did believe her at first but my husband was suspicious and did the google thing and arrived here.. any tips from anyone would be much appreciated because she does not know that I am on to her yet!

Can you provide an update. I reported her on Craigslist this week.. The same word for word emails I am seeing here - she said her name was Kari Williams to me.. I hope she is caught soon!!!!!!!!

Well, she's still at it, looking to move to Reno, NV and going by Jasmine Williams, 3161 32nd St, Fargo, ND. But have cell 701-428-7839. Good thing I decided to tell her to come here before accepting any money & checked her out on Google. =(
