Just called. Caller ID said "NASSAUZNO1 NY" as it did for others here.  Did not pick up.  No message was left.  

Called again.  This time I picked up and the number hung up on me.  

They called me ! the number showed on my caller ID as UNKNOWN but the very same number as the ones listed . I didn't answer and they didn't call back . I am going to put them on DO NOT CALL .GOV . This has got to stop .

This number calls several times everyday.  No one leaves a message and caller id does not identify them.  It's annoying. Who are they?

Caller ID showed: NASSAUZN01 NY
No message left.

A little Google searching turned up:
-- Number belongs to LEVEL 3 COMMUNICATIONS, LLC - NY
-- Number assigned to Garden City, Nassau County, NY area
-- LEVEL 3 COMMUNICATIONS, LLC is a provider of VoIP services and they are listed on a number of complaint sites as the company providing service for numerous numbers identified as scam callers.
-- NASSAUZN01 is the designation of the rate center that the number resides in.
-- "+1 (516) 570-9227" is currently being listed on the Occupy Wall Street website as one of their conference bridge phone numbers

If the Occupy Wall Street site is current (and they had items posted today, so I imagine it is) I would guess that this number is being spoofed by some scammer who didn't completely set up their VoIP Caller ID info (thus the NASSAUZN01 NY identification).

Just called me as far as I know for the first time.  Caller ID just says NN, Nassau.  If this is indeed FIOS, they can leave a msg and they didn't and don't.  Since my first year with FIOS is nearly up, I bet it is them calling me.  Blocked them anyway.  I block everyone now unless I know them, especially if they leave no voicemail, and often even if they do.  SICK OF THIS!

After repeated calls from this number, answered it last week.  Claims to be Verizon, requesting FIOS installation.  Said NO.  Calls continue.  Just filed a complaint with the FCC for violation of the Do NOT Call Registry.

I bought a $50 Call Blocker from Amazon.  Best investment I ever made.  With caller ID (required), I can see who called while I was not able to answer the phone.  If it's a number I don't know, I just simply press the BlackList button and they are done. If they call again, the blocker sees it and drops the call.  If you have multiple phones, the other phones may ring one time before the call is dropped.  And with FIOS, I can see the number appear on my TV before I answer.  I just smile when I see a number, and the phone never rings.  I bought my parents one also. Since they are home all day, the calling losers call all day long.  No longer!

Sammy!  Chris! is dis U? This thread looks like  Verizon call centers harassing and abusing customers.! People can also make complaints to all state and federal consumer protection agencies. Call carrier and tell them you want off all their predatory call center sales databases.

The caller, 516-570-9227, NASSAUN01, NY ( * showed on my phone ) sent a recorded message bout Verizon new option 01:00 P.M. 02/04/2014 &  06:09, 02/13/2014. My internet, TV  & phone are provided by Verizon, but we never received call  from this number & Nassau, NY. Today, 02/14/2014, I called them back & asked them " Please do not call again." I kept that number on my phone to prepare reporting about unwanted call. My wife took the phone to call our account, but she  accidentally click this number.
According www.800notes.com. Many  people reported this unwanted number since 10/16/2013.
I'll report to www.fcc.gov/complaints. They my fine it $100,000.00 t0 $200,000.00.

Same here I've had verizon for 10 yrs and I get this call every day.

I have received numerous robocalls from phone number 516-570-9227 coming from caller NASSAUZN01 NY.  I do not answer calls from unknown callers who do not leave a message.  I noted that several other commenters have indicated that the caller represented him/herself as being a representative from Verizon.  I contacted Verizon customer service on their chat line and got confirmation that the number is from Verizon.  I requested that higher-ups be told that the caller should be identified as Verizon since I, and many others, are skeptical of calls from unknown callers.  BE AWARE:  There are phone apps where the caller can put in ANY number or caller they want to show up in your display.  With these apps, they can change their voice and even the sex of their voice!  Isn't the digital age wonderful?

My number is on the DoNotCall List and this is the first time that someone has incessantly called me like this.

Same...no message and call all the time. By my provider is Verizon

They call several days a month. I have them blocked so the phone only rings once, but I would rather not get even that. Over a month ago, I called back and chose the option to put my number on Verizon's do not call list. Recording said it might take up to 30 days. It's been over 30 days, and they've called twice so far this afternoon.  So Verizon lies about their own do not call list. And I'm supposed to want another one of their services? I don't think so.

FiOS got installed in our area a few months ago, and my guess is that they're trying to pressure everyone to get it. I don't want it, and my house wiring won't support it. So they can pressure all they want, but I'm not getting FiOS. If they get any more obnoxious I'll go for cable instead.

I have Verizon Fios already. If this is them calling, too bad. I have this number blocked. You should identify yourself!

this is verizon marketing.  just called the phone number back and immediately entered 3, which someone posted would put you on the dnc list.  Once I did that a computer generated message came on and told me the number I was calling from and said that I would be put on the dnc list within thirty days... cheers!

My phone blocks unlisted phones, so this came through showing only the number but no ID.
Let the phone ring and eventually stopped. Sorry can't leave a message.
I'm glad I read your posts.
This number is now made to my blocked list and will never ring my phone again.
