Who knows where they are really calling from?  The other day I got a call from Northern Calif. and I live in Southern Calif.  Since I no longer know any one out of this area I didn't answer. Turns out it was an ex-old neighbor who moved out of the area but now using her cell phone and sitting in my driveway waiting for me to come to the door.  (I'm hard of hearing and don't hear the door bell)  THE POINT BEING----she is in my driveway but her phone number was telling me someone was calling from a town 600 miles from me.  She knocked on my kitchen window---which I could hear.  We had a good laugh.  I doubt if that happens often and thank goodness she left a message.  "Open your door".  End of story and a waist of your time. =)

Only noticed the call because phone was sitting in front of me because I have the ring silenced for this number.  They are back to daily calls after taking off for three or four days.  The think after a very long time of no answer that they would give up.  Not these people....

I have told my friends and family to leave a message (over and over again), yet most fail to do so.  It takes time and people who are used to texting don't want to be leaving messages on answering machines (old technology), so I am required to remember their number to know I should pick up.  It is one of the curses of living in the age of telemarketing with robo-calls.  We all are required to let our phones ring and ring all day and all night.  I am thinking of disabling my phone ringer and only calling back when I recognize the number.  I can't be bothered with trying to block numbers or reporting.  Regulation would stop all of this if America wasn't a country where everyone believes anyone has a right to make a buck even if it is unsafe or cruel or irritating to us all.

Got a call today from the above number. Caller ID said: Out of area. No message left, just the usual hangup. I just delete, delete and delete.

Not the first time they have called not answering anymore let it ring

I read the above messages.  I bought a Panasonic phone with the option of blocking 250 calls.  I can also block a numerical range of numbers such as 516-570-9220 thru 516-570-9229.   Nice feature.

My carrier is Verizon, and am on both state and national do not call lists.

The last time they called and asked for "head of household" and decision-maker I told them he passed away and stop calling.  They were making his loss much more painful.  Sob Sob!!!  Haven't gotten a call in months.

I like what your trying to do but this might not work in all cases.  I've been getting the same frustrating calls for about a year.  Unfortunately some of the calls change the numbers and names on caller ID via computer software. On two ocations I got one of these stupid calls using my name and number. I surely didn't call myself.  I went to one of the sites like this and posted what had happend.  I told everyone if you get a call from my number it wasn't me and to report it to the phone company.  I think if it's people selling solar and you said no once ask them for an appointment.  Get Their name, plate number and company name.  Ask them to leave and then report them.  If they are spending large amounts of time and money following up nonexistent leads they will need to find other ways to operate.  Assuming they are trying to sell something and not just ID thieves.  Good luck- to - all.

This number came up as "Unknown Name" but the female caller said she was from Verizon, and asked for me by name.  I told her I had no idea how she got this number and I wasn't that name!

I received a call from Verizon wanting to make an offer to upgrade to my cable subscription.
The caller-id said unavailable.

I receive two or more calls from this number every day.  Usually around 5PM and again around 8PM.  As soon as I see the number on my caller ID, I just hang up without saying anything.  I am on a Do Not Call List, but obviously that does no good.

Daily calls which I've blocked, but if this is legit, why do they not have "Verizon" listed as caller as they are the phone company...seems  pretty easy to correct.  Or why not leave message???

Ringtone silenced so I don't hear call come in.  Why don't they give up when they have got to know their calls are being ignored.  They never left any messages when given opportunity, now I have taken it away from them.
