- Jan replies to HAHA UR FUNNYMost of the people at this agency are arrogant f$#^%'s. I have spoken to one person that didn't treat me like I was the worst person in the world and the debt isn't even mine, I'm just working with them to get it paid. They are bullies, but face to face they wouldn't talk to you that way or it would get ugly. There's phone lines between me and them that why they get away with it. You may run a good company, but they certainly do not.
- DUSTYCall me looking for Veronica Rodriguez. Don't know this person also don't care to know this person. Now I don't know how to stop the calls?? Need help
- Caller: ????
- Micky| 1 replyThe way to STOP these people in their tracks is to go to this website: www.westopdebtcollectors.com, talk to these attorneys for free and let them take your case for free going after these morons....

- Call type: Debt collector
- billEXTORTIONIST, This is a collection scam. You pay "Joe Puzuto" to stop calling you. Check you credit report, they will hammer that until you pay them off.
- Resident47 replies to MickyThe way to halt a lawbreaking debt collector is to learn and enforce your rights, and not to throw all your trust at a legal paper mill like Krohn & Moss, which owns the "WeStopDebtCollectors" domain among others. K&M feels that spamming discussion sites like this is a fine way to attract new business. They have promoted the use of poorly composed dispute letters which are likely to get people sued for debt faster. Their soundalike civil complaints are sloppy, riddled with errors, and tend to be cut from the same pattern.
Free consultation and taking "your case for free" is nothing special. The FDCPA provides legal fee shifting to the losers. K&M primarily wants an easy case it can work from a desk instead of the courtroom, and then feed on settlement payouts split heavily in their favor. Most of the problems people have with collection agencies don't need a lawyer to solve anyway, hence my initial statement about becoming educated. Below is a link to FTC resources to get you all started.
http://www.ftc.gov/os/statutes/fdcpajump.shtm - idiots| 2 repliesEasiest way to get debt collectors to stop calling you is paying your bills...
- Alfalfa replies to idiotsThis is not a discussion as to whether or not we should "Pay our bills".
This is about our consumer protection rights when it comes to the collection of debts.
Thanks for playing. - Collector and paying my bills. replies to amyNot so. If they get a court order they CAN GARNISH you. Unless your only income is SSDI or SS Retirement. If you work for the Post Office there are some challenges, if you are Military some challenges as well. Just negotiate with them a fair pay off and do what you intended to do when you established the debt. You didn't go into the credit agreement thinking you were going to cheat anyone did you? Of course not, that would be FRAUD. So do the right thing, answer their calls and let them know your circumstance. If
- annoyed San Diegan| 1 replyThere POS people have been calling my house *MULTIPLE TIMES* EVERYDAY asking for people that I do not know. Sometimes they leave a message and sometimes they don't but most of the time it's always a recording that says it's for a (random) name that I don't recognize. Very annoying.
- Caller: joe pezzuto or whatever
- Dave replies to idiotsYou took the words out of my keyboard. They called looking for someone not me and I told them to stop calling. We'll see what happens.
- Dave replies to annoyed San DieganThen call them and tell them the person doesn't live there and to stop calling. It's not rocket science.
- William Drummond(s)| 1 replyI have received two robot calls (never from a live person) from the Pezzuto Law Group. It never says what the call is for, so as far as I'm concerned it's simple harrassment. I want it stopped immediately. I am very sick and disabled and this is not making me any better.
- Caller: Pezzuto Law Group
- Tamianth replies to William Drummond(s)Follow the steps in what you need to know. Also consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.
