    Calls everymorning at 8am.  Calling the number they give us puts us on hold for 20 min.  There is an initial msg that this call is an attempt to collect a debt but that is all the info it gives.  Then it disconnects.

    Cellphone would ring 24/7 &hang up;no msg. Callback would say: Thank you for calling GE Money. I called  GECustomer Service & their answer was: If you are late in paying, we call you.  I called Mr. Lund, laison between GE Money and Queen City Appliances Rock Hill - to no avail.  Queen City Appliances was also unapologetic.  GE LIED saying I was TWO Months behind, and they would cut off my promotional interest rate. I got two bills AFTER all this from GE in the mail - obviously mailed late by them.    I was so fed up I paid the entire thing off; never apologies for the lying, the scam, the threats, the phone spam, the harrassment.  Do NOT finance through GE MONEY, nor Queen City Appliances, NC/SCarolina ;Jan 20010

    My mom rec a phone call @ 9 am on her cell phone, asking for my boyfriend.  After reading this, it appears that the call was regarding a financed emergency vet bill.  The vet visit was in December, and we have not received a single attempt to contact us until they called my mom for some strange reason.  After reading these posts, I will get this over with quick.  Thanks, everyone.

    holy freaking god. the really do call you non stop, waking you every odd hour of the morning and they dont even leave a message. i agree that it seems so fishy that the credit card company is so unproffesional. i recently signed up or a midas credit card..and now i get this [***].  wtf.

    They're a crooked loan outfit that makes up their own rules and then charges ridiculus interest and late fees.

    GE MONEY or GE MONEY BANK or GEMB is responsible for numerous retail credit cards
    JC PENNEY's is one of them. OLD Navy, Home Depot etc They also handle the Care Credit accounts (Dr's and Dentist)and alot of the 0% interest for 12 month offers.

    If you check the complaint boards - they are all over them.
    they are TERRIBLE! While researching on how they screwed up on my JCP account all by themselves - I found thousands of complaints.

    Deliberate processing of payments late on 0% interest offers usually the LAST PAYMENT so they can tack on a years worth of interest.

    Stop sending statements to you so you forget to make a payment.

    In my case -placed fraudulent charges to my account, removal of mailing address etc. Not one collection call from them!  REFUSED TO FIX IT!

    You can contact the Office of Thrift Supervision - www.ots.gov and file a complaint with them..

    GEMB will IGNORE YOUR VALID COMPLAINTS - they cannot ignore them if they come in via OTS..  
    OTS got them to FIX their mistakes made to my account and restore my excellent credit rating!

    Amen!!  They are the worst company to deal with.  I can show them time and time again that my payments were directly made on time and they still call at 7am on the weekends, don't say anything when you pick up and then tell you they need additional funds when you call them back.  They are crooked!!!  I plan on reporting them to the BBB for harrassment.

    This is GE Money...worst company ever.  All the above statements from others are true.  They will call numerous times during the day and night and then won't answer when you pick up.  You can't pay a bill online unless you give them your bank info....DON'T DO IT!  They will hold your check until it's past due and call you asking for more than the amount due.  They have changed my amount due numerous times...increased it, without sending a statement, then charge you a $39 fee for not making the minimum payment.  These are some very shady and unethical people.  I got this card for emergency dental work $3000, have been paying above the minimum payment for years and am still at $2000.  I am taking my tax refund and paying them off and reporting them to www.ots.gov and www.ftc.gov.  I hope everyone who has dealt with them also does the same.  I understand they have a job to do but when you are making your payments on time and they still screw you over and harrass you...Enough is enough!!!!!

    They start calling BEFORE a payment is due. What [***]. Will not leave a message on the call message feature. I do not answer calls I do not recognize. When you do call GE Money Bank for information or help you get the [***] India or Phillipine idiots who can barely speak English so all you do is waste time. They are all idiots.

    I had a care credit account which I paid in full in November, 2009, three months before the end of the 0% interest became due.  Received no statements then suddenly in February, they claimed I owed $100 and added the $193 interest for the past year.  Then they charged me $39 per month late fees until now they tell me I owe them over $300.  Every time I try to talk to someone about it, I get someone from India who does not speak English very well.  Each person tries to tell me that I made a $100 purchase after paying off the card (which I KNOW I did not do) but they cannot give me any details about the purchase.  When I try to argue and ask for a supervisor, they "accidentally" lose the call and I have to start all over.    I get calls at home, calls at work and calls on my cell phone, despite repeatedly telling them not to call my cell or work number.   I am glad to see others having the same problems, although I am not glad to see that no one can seem to do anything about it.  Guess I will try some of the agencies mentioned to try and get them to stop.

    This is truly the worst company I have ever had to deal with. My surgeon would take out my non-functioning gallbladder until I paid him $1500 up front. I didn't have the cash so I took out the Care Credit card they offered. (the surgeon was literally waiting while I argued with the receptionist). I borrowed $500.00 with 6 months no interest. I made my first payment for more than the minimum payment online and received a confirmation, then a few weeks later I got a call saying my account was past due. I was shocked, as I had paid it on time and for more than the minimum payment. They had reversed the payment and charged me with a late payment fee, reversed payment fee and an overlimit fee (due to the fees). I yelled at an Indian man (Adam Smith, yeah right) like I have never yelled at any customer service person in my life and he agreed to remove the fees and take my payment without the $16 phone payment fee. Then the next month - it happened again. I was actually paying off the balance. They called again and told me the payment had been reversed, but how would I let that happen again? I argued and argued with them, but they don't care. I borrowed $500.00 from these people and I paid them $500.00 back. They can put their bogus fees where the sun doesn't shine, because they'll never see that money from me.

    I reported them to the state, to which they responded telling me they didn't care and to pay the fees. I mailed my final payment (to avoid the phone payment fee) and wrote on the check that this is all the money they're getting from me. I e-mailed GE and told them I would never buy another GE product as long as I live due to their affiliation with this awful company. They don't care though. Their online payment system is a total sham, designed to institute bogus fees.

    They've been calling me and putting me on hold before I even speak to somone. This is the third number I've blocked from my cell. Avoid GE money like the plague!

    The stories behind this type of company are mind boggling. Keep track of every call.  Watch your statements, lack of statements, mysterious $15 "charges" that are tactics to get you to call them so they can harass you for a payment.

    This kind of lending should be illegal.  I've created a gmail account for anyone interested in creating a group of individuals to pursue a class action suit against this company.

    You do not have to provide your name or any personal information at this time.  No legal representation has been acquired as of yet.  For a class action suit, we only need a handful of people and can begin to build on that.  There are enough posts against this company on the internet to see the complete picture of how fraudulent they are.

    If you have legal experience and would like to help, please contact me.  Our country is in enough of a credit crisis as it is.  THIS kind of harassment and abuse of creditor power should be shut down by the FTC and OTS.

    2. There have been reports that other companies use GE Money as a debt collector, such as Old Navy,
    Home Depot, JC Penny's.  If you know of other;s please list them so we can get as much information collected as possible.
