Got fax from same company today, different number, 613-236-0719, I love it how it says at the top "Personal and Confidential" and yet they send it to an open fax line...lol..how dumb can you get.

Received the same fax. There are alot of these types of scams out there. A serious buyer does not do fax or email blasts.

Got the same thing via fax. They want $17,000.00 for what? My letter said nothing about 17k.

The first email I received this morning.  I was interesed naturally.  I did call the number to get a receptionist that sounded like she just got of bed.  She answered, executive sutes and not in the name of the company.  That was a red flag.  As I asked to speak with Bert, you stated that he was in a staff meeting and would call me back in 20 minutes.  Staff meeting, 20 minutes? So, I left my number and went to work on researching this company, and it led me straight to this.  I guess Bert, Ernie and all the rest of the crew are sitting around the table conspiring on how to get off of Sesame Street finally.  Thanks people for your quick responses.

Got it today.  That was my same question?  I mean who even uses Fax machines anymore!  Next time at least try an email.

I got the same fax this weekend. I am also interested in selling and I did call once but the line was busy. Now I'm wondering if I should call it again or leave it alone.

On what assumption is everyone calling it a scam? Has anyone actually talked to a person?

Got the same "personal and confidential" fax - stating "very serious buyer" for our company - Bert must think we're all idiots to send such a fax!  1) If there were a serious buyer they would have been around looking the place over. 2) With all the businesses like ours having auctions & getting pennies on the dollar for things - it's another tell-it clue that this is a scam!

I just got this too.  No fax and no e.mail address.

All of you guys are wrong - he wants to buy my company - what a scam - sends a fax, no e-mail, is anyone crazy enough to fall for this guy.

Yea, I got the same fax this morning, must be new phone # 613-236-0719. I'm sure you all did the same research as me and found this websie to be the only thing on this scam!

It's a petty that someone will believe this!

Just got one about 5 minutes ago through our fax. I thought I'd research it and I was led here. I'm glad everyone feels the same as I do. Thanks for your input. Here is the information from their fax to help others recognize the scam..Yours may be similar with different information because they don't want you to track them to the other scams they are sending out to others but don't be fooled it is the same.

Just a quick note: Another thing about this fax is that I know they got our information from some old public source as it has our Old PO Box from 10 years ago that we haven't used for a long time now which also was a red flag to us. They don't even have our current information. So you guys should check into that as well. If they don't have your current business information then you know its a scam.

Just received the same fax solicitation 5 minutes ago. Bert Friedman is a very busy boy. Hes even  spamming  Hawaii now.
Obviously a scam. Please read all the previous letters. They probably represent 100th of the fax spams this guy is sending out.

He requests that I call him at 613 236 0719. Most companies that offer any real service would have a toll free number.

April 6th 2010  Got the same fax this morning telling me they had a serious buyer for my business.  Thankful that I found this list of others that have had the same experience.

Recieved the same fax this morning....grew up in Canada....area code 613 is for the Ottawa Kingston area .......address said Toronto........Scam
