Harvey seems to be on a buying spree!  I got his letter today as well.  No email, no web site, total scam.  On an earlier similar inquiry I read about how they want to charge you about $20,000 up front to complete an evaluation for the buyer.  It is never done and the $20,000 is long gone!!!!!   Scammers!

Amazing that they don't even try to change the verbage in all of their correspondence. what a scam!!!!

I also got this fax on 08/03/10, phone number 613.236.4790.

I received the same fax from 877-342-4169 this morning from the Candian-American Equity Group. It looks like Bert shares an office with vice -president Jack Shepperd. He uses the same phone number at 613-236-4790. The reverse look up tells me that this is Mont Blanc Mergers Associates.

They try to sell you info for $2,500 a month that you can get for next to nothing on the Internet.

Keep receiving the same as the rest of you...Company is Toronto Equity Advisers, numbers are 613-236-4790 or 877-342-4169, Reverse lookup gives me Mont Blanc as well!  Getting back at them today by faxing to their phone number a million times!!!

Actually the phone number on the email was (613) 236-0719 and the contact information was from Bert Friedman, managing director.  Received the fax in May, so just did a quick follow up today, and what would you know the voice mail directed me to some Wall Street ....... firm, and to leave a message.

Even though I received the fax in May of 2010, had no interest, but to satisfy my own curiosity did find this website.

Thanks for this website, and warning honest business people who want to sell their business that all that glitters is not gold.

My partner received a fax this morning.  Fax header is Mont Blanc, letterhead says The Mergers and Acquisitions Dept., Inc.  They have money to help us buy a competitor or to sell the business.

New phone number (from the one's listed here) 514.849.3883   Faxed from 877.342.4169.

Suspected this was bogus from the start.

Nice to have this site to confirm.

For the past 6 months we have received faxes from this company. I work for a car dealership and we receive a bunch of "crap" faxes. This one was annoying and would not go away. I called on several occassions to be removed from the list and then the faxes started coming without the removal information. After reading all of the information above I did a little research...found a number and called. The lady who answered did not even give me a second to talk, "we do not buy car dealerships" is how she started the conversation. I then told her that we have repeatedly requested to be removed and that we would file harrassment charges on the next fax. Miracles never cease, she was more than willing to delete us. :)

For the past 2 months we have received faxes from this company. I called and asked to be removed from the list and the lady that i talked to said, " you will be removed with in 72 hours" This is the number that i called (403) 441-6802

Still receiving faxes.  This one from Ryan Washington (613) 236-4790.  Non-stop for the last week or so.  If I call this number, I can set up a time to speak with the chairman.  Yup, and buy a bridge!!!!  Oh, and the person the fax letter is addressed to ... well, he passed away four years ago ...

The company return address is Canadian Growth Partners.  The fax came from Mont Blanc Mergers fax no. (877) 342-4169.

Reverse look-up identified Mont Mergers & Associates - Ontario - fax header said Canadian Equity Group - same scam - we are a $1.5 billion revenue construction company and got this fax about a significant buyer with interest in buying all or part of our company. Fax was sent by a

Just got fax from Mr. Lionell Cartier of WALL STREET GLOBAL Mergers and Acquisitions.

I'm waiting for the fax from either  TIFFANY GUCCI or from Louis Vuiton.

THEN I'll take them seriously.
