- me2this number has been calling my cell phone. i don't answer unknown numbers, so i don't know who they are. it called me way too early on sat am. so now i need to find out what's up! after reading these posts, i called the am ex # someone posted...1-800-528-4800...and she said it is a valid am ex #. i do not even have an am ex account! and never have! she suggested calling and letting them know they have the wrong person. great.

- Dennis MaiselKeep seeing this number on my phone suddenly. Two or 3 times a day. If I don't recognize the number I don't answer it. If someone wants to talk to me then they can leave a voicemail.
- Caller: Unknown
- DLMIf this is American Express Fraud I no longer have an account with these [***]'s and haven't for awhile now.
- Caller: Unknown
- esJust got a call as well. didn't answer but message was credit card scam
- JmlThis phone number keeps calling and hanging up when I answer, I wish they would stop the bull.
- SherilynTold them they had a wrong number and they still insisted on talking to the person. Why can they not listen and why do they have to be so rude.
- JenI just got a call from this number, but I don't even have an AMEX. I have no clue what they want from me. They did not leave a message. But the fact that I don't even have a card leads me to believe it's a scam.
- Jen againI had a similar problem with BabytoBee and reported them via the FCC's website. They got argumentative when I told them to stop calling me. I kept a log of the date/time/phone # of all the calls as well as the dates/times I notified them in writing to stop calling and submitted that with my FCC complaint. They stopped calling the minute I told them I filed a complaint with the FCC so I guess that got their attention. Filing the complaint only took a few minutes and was easy to do on the FCC website. You shouldn't have to investigate bogus calls like this. The bottom line is you told them to stop & they didn't so report them and be done. Good luck!
- Caller: AMEX?
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Alfonso GrandaI don't have an American Express card. Stop harrassing me.
- Caller: American Express
- LoriI just updated my alert notification on AMX's website. They had my email address, so I added my cell number. It wasn't 5 minutes later and this number called me. I didn't answer it because I didn't recognize it. Glad I didn't after reading these posts. I'm going to remove my cell number from the alerting service.
- mattdont even have amex, they keep calling and asking for someone that is not me.
- jvThey called my work number, but left no message. I do not have an AMEX card and never did!
- ZCalled them twice (to have my number removed). I got the same "Agent" both times. Now what are the chances of that happening at a REAL call center I wonder?
- MiaGot a call from this number, yet ANOTHER in a long string of FAKE AMERICAN EXPRESS PHISHING SCAMS. This has been going on for months, my landline, my cell. These assclowns call from cell phones in Florida, New York, Arizona, just to name a few. They fake their caller ID to read Unknown, or American Express or they are identified by "cell phone"
Real American Express does not call their customers asking for personal information, and they certainly do not call you from cell phones. The premise of the phishing scam is to get you to enter your legitimate card number and expiration, then once you have done that, they will ask all kinds of personal info, like if you want to make a payment by phone, they will request your banking info.
Before you know it, your card has been used fraudulently and your bank account is cleaned out.
NEVER NEVER GIVE THESE FOLKS YOUR PERSONAL INFO. ALWAYS VERIFY WHO YOU ARE ACTUALLY TALKING TO.- Caller: Fake American Express
- deafgal replies to Rosie| 1 replyI get these number 623 492 6031 calling me constantly, I already had worked out with Amer Ex myself to them directly, using the number on the back of the card, all has been taken care of.
I had checked this number few weeks ago, googled it, and find Im not the only one being bombarded by this call. I knew right away something was not right, I had called the 800 number, they immediately asked me for my acct nbr and SSN. told them Nooooo! and hung up!
From reading all the post from others, complaining about this number, what hasnt Amer Express do anything about this? If they are aware this a fraud call, why cant they put a stop to this?
And they should post this message for all to see that this number is not "legit" and for credit card holders to be aware of this? - KevinGot called twice today from this number. They were looking for someone who works for me, but would not identify themselves. I've checked with my employee and he doesn't owe AMEX anything and no longer has that account, which was a corporate account to begin with. Very strange indeed.
- Caller: Unidentified
- billthe call claimed to be amex, please call back with acct #. i called amex, using number on back of card (not the number provided in the call). the call was indeed from amex, their records showed that they did call me, they said that the call was legitimate, and that they wanted to notify me that my corp card was canceled. based on my personal experience, i suggest that you call amex, using the number on your card, and make sure everything is okay
- Caller: amex
- LannadcThis number called me yesterday and it had 2 number listing on my caller id when they called a message was left but it was elevater music:/ go figure
- Caller: unknown
- Robert A BillinghamCaller states that they are an Amex representative and asks for payment, or more like demands payment. Annoying repetative calls, but never a massage left.
Thank you.- Call type: Debt collector
