- RichieGot a call from 646-520-0697. Didn't answer. After reading all of this, I'm glad I didn't.
- DeniseI answered the phone and it was an automatic voice on the other end. The caller advised me that I must be in front of a computer for verification so as i was walking out to the car to grab my laptop the phone hung up. I then tried recalling the number that appeared on my cell phone 646-520-0697, the only response. So since i have my laptop my mind prompted me to look up the number on the internet and her i'am what a disgrace for one to play such games when people are serious about their lively-hood. I think God for the internet and the resources that it gives to us... Peace and Love...

- SueJust received a call from them. I held for a few moments and a woman named Patricia came on the line and said she was from Employment Select and was doing a prescreening for a job I had applied for as a Front Desk Representative. I told her I had not applied for such a job and questioned her further but she wouldn't give out any info about the company and hung up.
- ChabazzDang I guess they are sitting back with nothing to do picking on all of us that are unemployeed. I am in Texas and I received the call today at 11:39am. I don't answer any numbers I don't know so I guess that is what saved me. I didn't recognize the area code so like others I googled it and came up with this site. I tell you, someone is being cruel.
- paulamusGot a call on the cell this morning at 10:48 am. I did not answer and decided that if they wanted me that they will leave a voice mail. No voice mail was left. I guess that they did not need to talk to me. I am unemployed and filling applications on the INTERNET. I guess this is where they got my number. I am glad that i found this site today, I am going to ignore the call if they call again.
- Kevin replies to JBD| 3 repliesThis is a scam... and you are helping them. It's for numerous jobs, they usually post on craigslist and other sites like that. Then you send an e-mail and they send you a link.. the link is a generic BS page where you fill out your phone # name.. all that crap, and upload a resume (that probably gets lost and never goes anywhere) Then to finish up the application they talk about taking a education survey... BS BS BS... it's marketing bs. Please dont apply for these jobs, it's not a real hiring service, it's a marketing service wasting your time.... This number is a direct result of applying for that. No real job awaits! (Spam mail also follows)
- Kiddy replies to KevinI agree. The same thing happened to me. They were blowing up my phone every 5-20minutes.
- Jasmine LI missed this call and called back to find the number just rang busy. From what I've seen its a scam.
- sGot a call at 12:37 am from this number. Call the FCC and report it. I am.
- sw-MN replies to Arlene| 4 repliesI got a call from that number this morning. I missed the call because I was sleeping. (They called at 5:55am!!!). I wish there weren't so many scammers out there preying on desperate job seekers. I don't know where or not this is a scam, but you just don't call people at 6 o'clock in the morning. At least I see that I am not allow on this one.
- 6465200697Same thing here as the other posts. I believe it was generated by my response to a craigslist "jobs" ad that went to the email addy: job-963073125@craigslist.org

- wagI also received a call from 1-646-520-0697 today. I looked it up online and found this website. I answered 2 other phone calls like this yesterday. They only asked me about my address and the phone number to "verify" the data I provided when I applied for a job on careerbuilder.com. However, yesterday I received 2 calls from 2 different people verifying the info for the same job. I applied for this job in Sept 08 (!) they said. After telling her that I already got a phone call about this position she said "whatever, please answer my questions". So I did. They never asked me about cell phone provider, furthering education etc. However, I will definitely try to squeeze out some more info as soon as they call me next time.
- DeeI received a recorded call from this number stating it was about a job application I had filled out online. When I googled the number I realized it was a "rip off". Luckily I did not waste my minutes waiting to be transferred to "someone who wanted to help with my request". I knew there was something "hokey" about this number as I did not apply for any jobs that were not in my home state. Avoid this number like the plague.
- Sara in NH replies to AnnaWow. Thanks to the internet (you guys), I'm not just another person they've roped in for scamming. Generally I won't answer my phone if I don't know the number, but especially if it's an area code I've never seen before.
The first thing I did was type the number into Google...
Thanks to you people, warning others of such poor business ethics, I quickly learned the number is a scam.
It's certainly sad that "businesses" have to scam people when they're trying desperately to find work. I almost wish now that I could've answered to give them a piece of my mind, but from the looks of it, they seem like they have NO problem arguing/fighting back like pathetic children whining for another piece of cake.
Sickening.
