Ditto.  They didn't ask for information but only verified (by providing me) with information from my old and new address and wanted to confirm which was the correct of the two.  That's it.

Constant calls.  Usually hang-up.  Caller does not identify business entity.  You CANNOT understand the person on the other end, due to her very heavy Asian accent!!  Very frustrating

They called my alternate # today and left a 4 second message of AIR...just air.  I called back and the recording says the # IS Google Maps but the # is not used for inbound calls.  "For assistance, go to www.google.com/places."
WHY on earth would you call me and not leave a freakin' message?  Now I can't call back to talk to a live person to solve my problem.
If anyone from Google is trolling this forum - I listed my business # as my primary #, and my magic jack # as my alternate number.  I hardly ever plug in my magic jack because the call quality sucks, but it sends voice mail messages to my email where I can listen to them in .wav files.  Very convenient.  The problem is that Google has them switched and many new, potential clients call the voicemail number instead of my real business number.  I have tried to switch them, but had to delete all numbers last night as the problem was never resolved.  And Guess What?  The number is STILL incorrect.
I have TRIED to get the red flag to point to my business many times, but it still points to the building across the street.  If my customers can't find me and can't call me, what's the point?  And it's the first, top ranking in a search for me.  Very frustrating.

This is a legit call.  I am very careful with giving information.  They will ONLY ask to verify your street address if you are moving or have moved or have updated your Google Maps info or have even added info on your Google + pages that conflicts with one another.  This 650-253-2000 is a correct number and is a division of Google.  Thanks.

I got a call from this number but all the caller said was "I'm trying to find you guys, are you at XXXX Blah Blah Blvd?".  Pretending they were a customer. lol

could not understand a word. I just said YES, Yes., Yes.

If this is Google then maybe someone needs to tell them to call during office hours.  I got a call at 6:30 ct this morning.  Our office is closed at that time so how do they think they can "Update Information" if they are calling offices before anyone is in?  And just to let you Google employees know, if we want our info updated we will call you.

Call from this number this evening,with a caller ID of Google Inc, which I didn't answer as we keep getting spams calls all the time, and only answer when we know who is calling.   The caller left a voice mail of just noise, no message.   If as this blog indicates it was really Google calling, why would they be calling my home asking for me to verify "my office location".   And why would any business try to call another business after hours?   Do Google employees think that every one else works their office hours?   Sounds more like a spammer than Google.

I just receive a message that this number had been blocked on my cell phone.  If it is Google Maps calling to verify, update or anything regarding my "business" they are very, very confused.  I don't have a business.  And Google considers itself to be a reliable source of information?

Google doesn't like it when a business doesn't want to provide a specific street address for all their JUNK MAIL to be sent to;  I have registered my business listings with Google search engine and they bury me with an avalanche of Google Ad Sales snail-mail solicitations.

What these Google solicitations basically say is "A Google Ad is virtually the only way anyone will ever find your website - because they'll never find it doing a Google search."

It's a complete impeachment of their search engine - and - their Sales Solicitation practices.  It's a "Conflict of Interest."  They throttle (sabotage) their search engine results so that their ADs become NECESSARY.  Otherwise, if their search engine worked as it SHOULD, no one would need their ADs.

That's why I use the "DuckDuckGo (DDG) search engine instead of Google.  DDG does NOT clutter its search page with ADs like Google does.  I dumped Google and its nosey toolbar along time ago.  DDG has no ADs and no conflict of interest.

This is Google Maps! I check all numbers in 800 notes or google.com and before giving any information. This is Google Maps! They have called 2-3 times in the last year whenever we try to change information on Google! It is legit!

received 2 calls this AM from this number BEFORE 6AM...on my personal cell Phone. Did not get to the phone in time to answer. Not happy.

Why are they calling me in the middle of the night?  3:30 am yesterday and 5:30 am today.  I am up right now researching the number because they woke me up!!!  I live in California, they should have at least recognized the area code! Not to mention the fact that they called my private cell phone and not a business!

It's not worth it to me to have to stop what I'm doing to answer the phone sometimes 2-3 time a day because you clowns wont take "leave me alone" for an answer.

Stop calling me you damn foreign f*cks. You have called my company over thirty times.
