There are so many telemarketers and spoofers calling us that it is affecting productivity. We now have a policy in place that any call which looks suspicious on caller i.d. is transferred to voice mail. Caller i.d. shows this call as coming from "Google Inc" which is pretty hard to believe. They left no message. That pretty much clinches it as a fraud.

Yes this is fraud, just because they don't ask for money doesn't mean they're not. Information can be worth so much in this day and age, especially when it can sell for a pretty penny to other marketeers. Don't let your business get taken.

I just received this call, did not answer at first and they called back eight times in quick succession, yes because pressing redial repeatedly is going to make one want to pick up the phone even more. Finally answered, they claimed they were google but could not give me any verifiable information to my google account. If google is calling to make sure my google listing is correct than you'd think they would know which account they were verifying...

Number SPOOFING. I have received calls from myself. We are NOT paranoid.

They say they're "Google Maps" trying to update business info but the caller sounds like an Indian call center suituation ... proceed with caution. I've marked them as 'spam'. If you are doing business in America, use American employees to make these calls, not some forgein call center.

I also got a call from these people stating they were from Google Maps wanted to verify my information I told them everything was correct next couple days when I went on to adjust my hours things have been changed the name of my business and all my hours were deleted I think this person without my consent made changes I'm pissed

I received a call from this number today at work. The Caller ID said "Google Inc". I'm sure it wasn't. A male between 20-30 years of age said in broken English with an Indian accent "can you help me, with I need, phone for 1553" I didn't say anything else and hung up on him.

Called twice, once on a Friday and then again the following Monday. No message left. Blocked contact.

A man called from this number and told me my business address and asked whether it was correct.  I asked him what for.  He hang up. He did not identify what company he is with either.

I work at a home-based business.  This number repeatedly called the business line and my employer's unlisted home line, back to back and multiple times in a row.  No messages but comes up on called ID as Google Inc.  Hmm.

Brusque, evasive, and above all uninformed male with a South Asian accent asks questions about opening times, but does not understand the component parts of our public/government organization. Won't say what he wants. Sounds miserable: a fate he probably deserves.

They are relentless.  Called me 4 times in a day and a half.

Called my business, wasn't my area code so I googled the number immediately and ignored the call.

this number called and said they wanted to verify my business address and that they were from google maps. I said I do not want to verify the information because I do not know if they are actually from google maps and I don't want to get more spam mail.

I turns out the number was a bad number because ever since I received their call and hung up on the guy ive been breaking out in hives and sneezing a lot lately. they sent a virus through my phones speaker so do not answer this number!

Werd, person speaking real low, stated I messed up there life.

Called our business and left heavy breathing voicemails multiple times on July 4th.  Caller ID says Google INC very shady messages must be some type of scam.

Called asking "what are our hours" so I told him. He said ok and thanks.

I just received a call from this number also (650-253-2000),   The female who I could barely understand was asking questions about verifying where we are located.   When I asked who was calling she said it was a Google rep.   When I called the number back, I reached a gentleman in Kansas who said he did not call.
Suggestion:   Don't take calls from this number.

supposedly Gooogle Maps but they sound foreign. Google, if it's really you, hire Americans that speak the Queens English. thank u. stop f*cken calling my office!!

I just got a call from this number and didn't pick it up. Probably another scammer.

Calling to verify address. They don't need my address it's already on there.  Didn't speak English well. Hung up on them.
