This caller calls all the time. Leaves no message. There is no name listed on the caller ID (Blank).  Just the number.

This number calls daily, with no message and no one there when you do pick up.  Thanks for the "human number".  I'm ready to report them to the AG for harassment.

we have rec'd calls from this number the past 2 days....they never leave a message...annoying

My call logs show numerous calls from this number everyday, sometimes several within the span of only one minute.  However, I have blocked this number so it doesn't ring on my end.  I was curious to see who was so darned persistent and was not surprised to learn it was a charitable organization.  My blocked caller list gets longer every day.

We receive up to five calls per day from this number starting at 8:30am.  PLEASE STOP!!!  EXTREMELY ANNOYING AND DISRUPTIVE!!!

I just found this website by uskng "goggle" and came upon this complaint websit.  I used the  866 number and asked to be removed from their calling list.

Great site.  Thanks for the help.  I had been plagued by multiple daily calls from this number.  Called the 866 number and the operator said I will be removed.

Also recieving multiple calls from 678-846-0507. While I feel good about that fact that I make constant charitable donations, i feel I am paying for it now with these harrassing phone calls and hang ups. How entitled of "N" to post on Feb 22 how polite we should be to the callers. N should remember you are disturbing people in tehir homes when the have sleeping babies, making dinner etc etc. ACS should consider evaluating their practices. Certainly there is a better way

1) Yes, this is the American Cancer Society. They are having problems with their auto-dialing solicitation system. My hubby is in telcom & we gave them the info they need to fix the problem.

2) Phone: 866-435-7227 -- and asked to be removed from their phone call list. The rep said that it could take up to 30 days to go into effect...

3) Remember, the national "Do Not Call" register/list does NOT include non-profit organizations -- i.e The American Cancer Society, The American Heart Association, etc.

4) I tell ALL phone solicitors that I have a "policy" of not giving over the phone. I will *consider* their request only if they put it in writing.

BTW: I do give annually to the American Cancer Society. When relatives have had cancer, they have proven to be an invaluable resource. They will send information for any cancer condition -- no strings attached. When hubby had cancer, they sent tons of info & even included a plastic "briefcase" with child-appropriate explanations of hubby's condition -- incl. what the surgery & chemo would be like -- for my son. They even included stickers and a coloring book... They also have a great website. Just remember -- they ARE a good organization & I feel that we should be patient with them. [Although if I'm still receiving calls after 30 days, I will exercise my right to change my mind -- and will place a notice at this board! :) ]

that number was left on my caller i.d. today, wednesday, at 6:43 pm.  i was not home to answer.  i wonder, what if i did pick up...would there be a real person calling?  i've seen this number before on my caller i.d. list,  i don't call back any numbers i'm not familiar with or that have left no messages.

They call and call and call and no one is ever there...Also, on the DNC list...also getting calls from 866-303-6836....and the same thing happens! Drives me nuts!

You think you get annoying calls at inconvenient times during the day? My US phone number and I live in China. It's annoying and wakes me up EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

I have also been getting calls from 678-846-0507 with never a message left.  Been happening for days now.  It's nice to know it is the American Cancer Society.  That is the problem though, you contribute at all, and they will be on you forever.  I suppose you can't blame them, but still.

I got this call at6:28 on 3/16.  They did not answer.  First time I received this call

No call details.  Whoever it was called and I didn't take the call.  I was on another call, and I don't know how to use call waiting yet!  :)

We had been dealing with the 678 846-0507 harrassment calls for over two years. Just like has been stated above: nights, early morning, weekends and 2-3 times a day.  No one on the other end...always ends in hang ups.  For a year while my mother was suffering at home with cancer, she would be awakened by the endless hang ups from 678 846-0507.  I put in caller ID and we stopped answering the phone to only check messages on the machine.  This number as we know never leaves messages.  I was only able to trace it with the caller ID and this wonderful website.  It is the American Cancer Society.  I called and confirmed.  You too can call 866 435-7227 and they will remove your name from the call list(In 72 hours).   While aware of the problem for who knows how long, they have not fixed it.  I told them about all of you and your comments and they are beginning to get concerned.  Our mother has been at peace more than a year...hopefully the family can find peace from the harrassing phone calls some time soon.  I would be afraid to send the organization any donations or support in the future for fear they would put me on another automatic calling list.
