I just received a call from a recorded message stating that if I didn't call them back in 24 hours they would no longer be able to help me.  Caller ID brought it up as World Wide Records.  The message stated that they have repeatedly tried to contact me but I have not responded.  I am not only going to file a complaint with the Attorney General but I am contacting the Federal Trade Commission and filing there as well!

I just got a phone call from a "Mr. Parker" who called asking me about a peson I have no clue about, but it involved Metairie Louisiana. I haven't lived in LA in over 6 years. I kept trying to understand where this guy was coming from and he was escalating it, calling me names and saying I was being difficult. I explained that I was hearing impaired and trying to figure out what he was talking about. I asked for his name and he was abusive about that. Gave me his name and ID#. Asked why I wanted it. I told him I was a paralegal and was trying to figure out what he was talking about. He told me I was nothing but a "glorified secretary" and after the conversation got no where because my husband was yelling in the background, "Mr. Parker" said, "Oh, you are hearing impaired? You know sign language? What finger am I holding up?" and he hung up on me.

I called my ex-husband (who is a Detective in Jefferson Parish) and found out it had to do with his new wife's ex-daughter-in-law and had nothing to do with me or my family. Totally abusive and uncalled for. What do I know about what's going on in my ex-husband's life? I am going to be talking to the attorneys I work with and see if I can file a complaint.

Well, I called them because they were harrassing my entire family and figured I would make some kind of payment arrangement with them.  Fat chance.  The man was nice at first and then proceeded to get nasty and told me that I had taken the money off the credit card and run.  I told him he had my address, I was here, I wasn't running.  He told me I was guilty of credit card fraud and that I had been served papers.  These people are the worst of the worst.  God forbid in today's economy someone should not be able to pay their bills and get behind and not be able to get caught back up with their creditors.  I admit that I owe the money, but if you want it, treating me like [***] is not going to get it for you.  I am going to follow the one poster's advice about the attorney general because there is no reason I should get off of a phone call in tears.  Just wanted to help anyone else out there who might look this number up.  If you call them be prepared because they are evil.  Hope my misery helps someone, lol.

Received a partial phone number for call back one day and the next day the caller left the whole number.  The message left was that if the call was not returned there would be no way they could assist us, all would be lost.  I made a mistake probably and called them back and told them to call my cell phone.  Don't know who they are looking for they didn't leave a message addressed to anyone.  They are not above board it seems.

they called my grandmother's house looking for my husband.........wtf?

Have received several Robo calls from this number telling me to call. I'm not calling but want the calls to stop.

wow.... they started to harass me and my family about two weeks ago. I believe its about a debt that has alread been charged off and is beyond the statue of limitations. They are simply bullys...... They had the nerve to call and harass my parents who have nothing whatsoever to do with this. They spoke to my mother, who has a heart condition and just recovered from breast cancer, when my father was not home. She was hysterical by the time she had hung up on them. They are extremely pushy, brass, threatening, use abusive and profane language, and actually gave an account detail.... which are ALL violations of the U.S. Code under the Fair Debt Collections Act. I returned their message to me and left a message myself, but have not received a reply. They are scum!

I received 2 calls from this number 1-714-380-5875 and when i called the number back it's says we can not complete your call as dialed please check the number and dial again. the girl that left the message said it was a legal matter and i had 24 hrs to call them back or severs action would be taken. does anyone know how they got our numbers?

World Wide (Collections) has been calling non-stop for the past two months.  I finally answered the phone where an initially very nice lady started speaking to me as if she was speaking to a three year old.  The matter was about a very old credit card debt that I had for $600.00.  She said that I was in "breach of contract" - I guess I was since I stopped making the payments but then she started in on property liens, wage garnishment and crap that I knew to be wrong.  I told her it was an unsecured card therefore there was nothing they could repossess.  What was she threating?  Putting something negative on my credit report?  It's already there.  Putting a lien on my home?  Have one; stand in line.  I reminded her that I live in South Carolina and rules that may apply to other states do NOT apply here.  I told her that I was aware of the bill and that I understood that in order for this not to be an issue anymore I had to pay the bill. When would that be?  I could not give a date.  She then transferred me to her supervisor, a man by the name of Chris Myers, who, like the lady, started off sweet as sugar but quickly turned into quite the a**hole demanding that I get out....get this...my credit card...and set up immediate payment arrangements.  I pointed out that my credit was already bad so how could I possibly have a credit card? He smarted off with "so you think this is funny" and I replied "do you?".  I then asked him for his fax number so that I could fax a cease and desist letter to which he never replied, he just continued to talk over me and telling me what a horrible person I was.  HE eventually hung up and I never got their fax numbe.  I immediately called back and this time a man answered the phone and told him that I simply needed a fax number.  He beat around the bush by saying that he didn't know what it was and the clerk that would know it was away from her desk.  I asked if World Wide had a website and he said no since those just let to "corporate garbage" whatever that meant.  He wanted to know if I was an "honest" person and if I was, why did I not pay my bill?  I told him, again, I just wanted a fax number as I was not in the mood to argue anymore.  When he avoided the issue again, I hung up.  These people are rude, horrible and are liars.  They cannot take me to court, they cannot garnish my paycheck and oh, they did leave me a message saying that the debt was concerning my property located at (my home address).  This has NOTHING to do with any property anywhere.  The original card was with HFC Orchard Bank.  If anyone has a fax number for these people, that would be great so I can finally fax the cease and desist.

They have called leaving messages about a "matter at my address" which i no longer live at.
Then I got a message that "someone was filing a complaint against me" I havent talked to them because they are only going to harrass me further. Does anyone have an address for these scum bags so I can send them a cease letter? Also do they call from any other number?

Got a call from this company called worldwide something. The person that i first spoked too was so rude. He was trying to find one of my relative. When i asked what was it about and how did he get my number. he claimed that the person he is looking for, used me as a referrence. which was a lie. then not only did he lie to me on the phone. though i was nice on the phone to him. he insulted my intelegence. luckly he was on speaker phone. my husband took the phone out of my hands and cussed him out for being rude to me.  he then told my husband that he can talk to someone else. he did not want to give us his name. but then he transfered the phone to someone else. this time we got this persons name Johnathan Bryson. Though this person was nice on the phone. i know this was a trick. like playing good cop, bad cop trick to get us to give up some kind of info to them... don't care who they want to get too. I just wanted them to stop calling. they can find that person themselves. i won't help them. we had asked johnathan to please stop calling us. he said he could not promise anything but will noted it in the file. but he did mention to us to try and contact the reative and have the person call him or he has no choice but to take him to court. not only does he have to pay what he owe's but he has to pay Johnathan $1500. for his time... Like i really wanted to know or do i care after i was treated like a peace of crap on the phone....

There are other numbers too. Contact number is 714-380-5870. Name is Johnathan Bryson. This is direct line number from what he told me and my husband. They claim that the company is located in orange county, california! good luck and i hope you stick it to them!!

I got a call this a.m. from these scum-bags
I would not tell them who I was until they told me who they were
finally after 3 calls and a scum-bag named Dan the MGR.
(he couldn't manage a tee-ball baseball team)
I finally told them my name and tried to tell them that I'm on
the nat'l no call list and not to call me again but Dan the Mgr. hung up on me..
I hope dan calls again so I can record the conversation and bring suit against them in a court of law...

This company has been calling an elderly couple.
They have no connection to the person this WWR is looking for.
They call threatened & harrased them.

These guys keep calling saying I owe on a Credit card from 5 years ago. This has been paid in full. Just keep calling. Threatening

Got a message on my machine today from them stated if I didn't call them back by tomorrow they couldn't help me.  WHAT? Help me how? Are you kidding me? Never heard of them. I have no outstanding bills that I know of. Called the number was transferred to some guys message machine so I  left a message of my own. Told them I listened to their message, found it quite threatening, didn't know who the heck they were or what they wanted, but if they ever call my number again I was going to file charges against them for the threatening message and harrasment.

My wife and I initially received the robot calls with messages like "call so we may help you" and "if you don't call back right away, we won't be able to assist you".  When I called and asked to speak with a supervisor, I was told that they are looking for a Jim Mason--I told them that I don't know anyone by that name and to please take me off his list.  A few weeks later, my wife gets a call stating that we will be served with court papers.  When she asks who they are trying to serve, the fellow again says Mr. Mason.  My wife then attempted to explain that there is no Mason at this address, but she was told to still expect papers to be served at our house.

Why can't the authorities put a stop to companies like this?  It's a shame that so many decent people hav to suffer because of these underhanded business practices.
