Received calls similar to the ones listed in this post.  I called Mr. Terry's "personal direct line" and had to leave a voice-mail message regarding his threats and the fact that he represented that he could not help me after 10:00 a.m. the next day, unless I "took action to communicate with him and get the matter cleared up."  I recorded my call back to him and informed his staff/message recorder that I was recording the message for "quality control" purposes.  I then left my Bankruptcy case number on his recording, where the case was filed, the name and telephone number of my attoreny and verified the time and date the message was left.  I burned that recording to a disk in a format that can be electronically uploaded into the Court file (Federal Court have moved to digital filing.).  (I also got the name of the female who originally answered the telephone.)  My message was simply stated.  Finally, the message informed Mr. Terry of the automatic stay entered in every bankruptcy case upon filing and that the Order was applicable to any collection activities whatsoever; thus, he should never contact me again without utilizing the Court's process or without obtaining an Order relieving him from the requirements of the automatic stay order.  The end of my message informed Mr. Terry that if he decided to contact me again in violation of the automatic stay order, I would inform the Federal District Court Judge, the Trustee and my attorney in the case and get a hearing scheduled for him to personally appear before all of them so he could explain why he continued to contact me and intentionally violate the requirements of the automatice stay and the Court's Order, especially after having full and complete knowledge that I had filed bankruptcy.  He hasn't called yet, but he will.  These guys think they are smarter than everyone else in the room.  He's going to be shocked when he finds out I worked for a high volume bankruptcy law firm in Central Florida for 12 years.  Stopped working due to a disability involving a degenerative joint disorder.  I can't wait to stick it to him.

Similar call to the previous people who have posted to this inquiry.  Received a
call a couple of weeks ago from a woman who said they had talked to me recently.
That was false.  Then told me they had filled papers with the sheriffs
department and I was probably calling to question the court summons.  That
wasn't even close!  She said it was about a credit card with a company that I
have never had an account with.  She transferred me to some guy who said he was
a lawyer.  When he started making threats, I yelled back...He then asked why was
I yelling.  I told him I would yell all I wanted.  And I would hang up on him
when I was ready, and I did.  Now, I just received a call from the exact number
and the same name given in the email posts, "World Wide Reco." At first the
person seemed to be trying to help find information.  Then he asked me where I
lived.  I did not tell him, but he had the county from my phone number and area
code.  He then stated that the papers had been filed with the county and I would
be receiving a summons for court, that they were prosecuting me for harboring
someone from them.  He rattled of several addresses.  I told him I had never
lived at any of those addresses.  That I had lived here over twenty years.  Then
he started asking about my kids and where they lived.  Now, I started yelling
that it was none of his business. Besides I told him I was not liable for any
debts other than my own.  Then I started yelling at him, since that seems to be
all they understand!  He told me again about the court summons and that I was
being prosecuted for harboring a fugitive from their justice.  Then I hung-up on
him as he is trying to intimidate me on the phone.

Does anyone have a physical address?  They called my parents and were extremely rude and abusive to my Mom.  I have been working with the Attorney Generals office to try to track them down but in order to serve anything on them we need an address.  Threatened legal action and then spouts off a bunch of numbers but will not produce an actual document through the US Mail.  When I ask for a physical address they get even more abusive....has anyone had any luck getting a physical serveable address?   Thanks!!

It does not matter whether you do or dont owe money.  There is a statue of limitations per state.  These people will call you after that.  The expect the normal every day person to react and not know if they are still obligated to still pay.  They do not have the right to add interest to keep the collection active because you do not have a contract with them.  Any collection is not allowed by Federal law to call more than once a day.  If all of us, would get together and file a joint claim there is money to get, because their tactics are against the law .  I think it is $1000 fine.  Especially if you tell them not to call.  They by law can get in trouble.  Most of us have cell phones.  All of our phone calls are documented.  I will not call these people because of what I read here.  Keep in mind what I say about the law because what I have said about the law is correct.  Please refer to your state laws.  It does not matter whether they bought your debt or not.  There is a State Law for Every State about the statue of limitations for collections.  They can not continue to try to collect based on their own interest because you did not contract with them.  They can say whatever they want, even if they say they are from a Law Firm.  They are only trying to scare you.  I am an Accountant who is familiar with these people's lies.  I believe you if you all if you say they are a scam, because I believe the people on the people on this is site more than I would believe the people calling.  You have no reason to lie.

2nd call from this group.  Tells me I am part of an investigation and I need to return this call. I will not return it.

This number keeps calling us too. They leave us,what sounds like an automated voice telling us that we need to provide them with a physical address. they leave messages on our voice mail cause we refuse to answer our phone. Warn your children not to answer the phone from this number!  Tell all friends/family about these sickos.

They have called several times and left messages (I don't answer numbers I don't recognize). They don't say the company name. They try to scare you by saying that a complaint has been filed against you. It is false and they are just debt collectors. If it was a true complaint, an official, such as a police officer has to give it to you in person to make sure you recieved it. Don't trust these people!!!

Did you get anywhere with reporting the company.  They are trying to get ahold of my niece because she put my number down and they will not stop calling me.

Got a message (or a couple of messages), only one of which was linked to WWR by name; apparently I came up as a point of contact for a bill they were trying to collect on. I finally got a hold of a live person on the other end today, and was able to clear things up - the name the debt was on is somebody I'd never heard of, so this was one less thing to worry about and they'll stop calling me.

Sometimes it's worth checking back on calls like this.

Received several messages from world wide recovery and it said to get back to them within 24 hours regarding property in flordia.  Since I have several pieces of property they did not say which one it was regarding.  All my taxes are up to date and there is no mortgage on these properties.  So what do they want?  Of course there is no message as to what they want.  Can't wait to talk to them in person!

We Keeps getting calls from this number every other day. all they say is "This is WWR calling regarding the property this number is tied to. Uh.. we just bought this house and have made every payment on time and for more than we have to... we don't owe squat!  They don't ask for anyone by name. I did a reverse look up and found all these posts. i'm thankful i didn't call them back!! i will make sure i don't! Thank you all for sharing your experiences to help others!!

World Wide Recovery called me concerning an individual that doesn't live with me and I don't know. They refused to identify their organization, plus more. I asked them their business name only because it did not come up completely on my ID. When I said I didn't want to receive any more calls he got really RUDE, including that I was not to tell him how to do his job. I eventually got upset too. I called back. I was told I was now speaking to a Mr. Martinez and had been speaking to a Mr. Nelson. When I again asked for the name of the organization or business, he told me that he wasn't asking me for my occupation, etc., and refused to answer the question. If possible he was more rude than the first person.

There was more conversation, and more rude remarks, however this is the gist of it.

I am getting calls from  714 316 2640  caller ID says World Wide Recovery.  A very RUDE voice left a very stern message stating they are calling from PE ASSOCIATES and have left me several messages and I must return the call before the close of business  today.  I called and left a stern message for them to never call my house again so rudely and if they had legitimate business to advise why they were calling.  I do not owe anyone any money so I am sure its a scam.  Beware

Hi I got the same call from world wide ass. but the number was 951-444-7799 the same guy and very rude and he read off my address. I told him he had the wrong number beware of this number to.

I received a call from them a lady by the name Jaime Satelo at 714-975-7601. She is not who she say she is then she had the nerves to call my mom and dad harassing them looking for me (Damn she probably called the neighbors too). She is trying to collect money for an account that was already taken care of LADY PLEASE GET A HOBBY!!! They are probably one of those works from home companies...BEEEEEEEEPPPPPPPPPPP TRY AGAIN

I too am being harassed  by Don Terry (Cherry) whoever he may be. He calls sometimes from a restricted number. I reported him to the Federal Trade Commission 202-326-2222....regardless of if I owe a bill his tactics are childlike in nature and appears  psychotic. Send in your complaint and report him to your state AG.  It appears he is making a profit from fear tactics. He has no fear of breaking rules or appears the law so we need to find out why. Call him constantly like he calls you but refuse to treat you with respect. He doesn't like being called back. Check your state laws and record the conversation if legal. He refuses to send a bill and refuses to stop calling the work place ....document, document, etc......times, date and phone number and what is being said...
