- DECKAPE replies to angelica perezThey are con artists, contact the California State Attorney and the Washington D.C. FBI.
- DECKAPEBEWARE, THEY HAVE A NEW ANGLE TO STEAL PERSONAL INFORMATION.
Got a letter in the mail from a law firm stating they will go after these people, my opinion is that these are the same scammers seeking a new angle to get your personal information to rip you off blind.
The state attorney will not share your complaints with lawyers, it obvious to me that these criminals monitor complaints boards. Beautifully written letter, great pitch and delivery, reminds me of Dan Durbin dribble, or whatever alias he goes by now. Hey Dan , getting closer everyday !- Caller: WORLDWIDE RECOVERIES,LLC

- DECKAPEIf you owe nothing and you are being constantly called with threats and are sick of it you can call this law office and do something about it at no expense to you ! They don't ask for personal information other than your name , phone number and e-mail address. It took me 10 minutes to fill out everything online , their paralegal took all the information over the phone while I filled out the application online. (EVEN IF YOU OWE ON BILLS CALL THIS ATTORNEY)
It seems that Worldwide Recoveries enjoys the benefit of not enough people taking legal action. As of today after getting a nasty call from someone at WWR looking for a nephew of mine I decided enough is enough and initiated a lawsuit, maintain a log and contact your phone company to provide a copy of your phone records for the period of unwanted calls. If they break the law you will be paid along with your attorney and court fees. About a month ago they asked for information on my ex-wife, I requested they remove me from their calling list and told me it would take up to four weeks for the calls to stop, they continued calling asking for different relatives. Take action and get in touch with the lawyer I have listed below. After you start your case call Worldwide Recoveries and give them your attorney's contact information, this may stop the calls, if the calls stop your lawsuit will still go through.
There is no excuse for the way these people conduct themselves and they need to pay for it just like the rest of us need to pay our bills, in the future I will not hesitate to use legal steps to punish these people, after I settle my case when I get another call associated with this company I will initiate a lawsuit immediatley, I will make it a lifelong hobby !

- angie| 1 replyI recieved several calls from (714)380-5875....so did my mother and father. When I finally spoke to someone from this company....I was yelled at and harassed. I was told there was a police officer on his way to my mother's house...and that my wages would be garnished. When I tried to explain that there is an active identity theft case against my ex-husbad for obtaining credit in my name, and that I am currently a student, he proceeded to tell me how convientient that was for a 'serial debt offender' like me. I have never been called names and yelled at like that on the phone before....especially to collect a debt. When he started chanting "where's my money girlie....I want my money girlie" over and over in a threatning tone is when I ended up disconnecting the call.
I contacted attorneys Warren & Vullings (www.faircreditlawyers.com) (215)745-9800. They listened to what I had gone through, and were very helpful!!!- Caller: World Wide Recovery

- Kelly Green| 1 replyThis company keeps callinga nd leaving rude/threatening messgaes for someone who doesn't live in my house. On numerous occasions I have attempted to ask them to stop calling ebcasue they have an incorrect number, they were very rude. Two people hung up on me, they refused to listen, and when I called back they made me leave a message becasue they wouldn't answe rthe phone. I was ANGRY by now, so I told them if they didn't cease the calls I would contact my lawyer.
About an hour later, I recieved a call from a "private name & number" and thought it was my daughter's friend calling. When I answered, the female said "Grow up ____ & clal your lawyer."
When I immediately called back, soemone posing as a manager talked with me & said I was marked as a do not call, but he was rude and just kept asking for my phone number.
I plan to file a complaint for harrassment & my lawyer WILL be sending them a letter. This is ridiculous... I'm not even the person they keep asking for!!!!- Call type: Debt collector

I have had my Identity stolen and get calls from places I have never been to pay a debt. Boston for example for a 9,000 loan I never took out. I haven't been to Boston in 30 years...
They won't listen so here is what i did.
You posters are playing their game; so don't play it.
I sent them a written notice with return receipt; I have proof it was delivered. Yet they continue to call. Thing you document the calls; even record them ( check your laws first ).
I did that and the lat call I informed them their 20th call has them now facing fines of $10,000.00 least of which I informed them after terminating this call i am calling the police and filing a criminal harassment compliant against them. YOU CAN DO THIS. The cop won't try to get involved politely push and tell them a crime has been committed Harassment and are they refusing to act on it?
They will try to tell you it is a civil matter; again politely tell them you are reporting a CRIME and want to file a police report for that crime; they still refuse get their ID and call the prosecutors office and inform them you are trying to report a crime and the police are refusing to take a report. Now take that report to court and get a restraining order TRO against this company. The next time they call after they have been served the restraining order they will be arrested. Also when you go to court take all your documentation and recordings; if this company threatened you this cinches the restraining order and depending on the threats the person making them could be arrested.
So far no more call; but they just have to be stupid one time and they will get a knock on their door from the police to arrest someone..- Caller: Weltman, Weinberg & Reis

- DECKAPE replies to angieYes! Please start a lawsuit!
- DECKAPE replies to Kelly GreenIt's great to hear more people filing lawsuits over this and taking action!
- DECKAPE replies to BullwhackerThe only way to go about this is to sue them under the FEDERAL LAW , arrests from situations as you described for phone harassment by a company are almost impossible to identify and prosecute . Most lawyers that go after criminal collections agents get paid from the proceeds of a settlement and do not require their clients to pay for their services if they win or lose the case. This is the first day in one week after I filed my lawsuit the phone calls stopped. I will not hesitate to start a new law suit for each new period of harassment.
I have yet to send a letter to make them stop, I just received my packet from my attorney which includes a phone log and advises me to record them. If these collection companies insist on calling me and want to take the risk , I'm ready to devote plenty of time and effort to file lawsuit after lawsuit. I hope everyone reading this takes notice of their rights under the law. There are collection agencies that follow the law and are successful doing a difficult service. The complaints here are about the ones that are in violation of the law , their biggest fear is people getting the right information and organizing to do something about them. - Repeated messages and no response?I got a call from this number today saying that they have left repeated messages and I have yet to return their call. Really? First time this number has been on my ID and the first message I have received from them. I have yet to call them back and after reading on here, don't think I will. Due to a lost job we were forced to file bankruptcy over two years ago. Not what we wanted to do but saw no other way out. Since then we have financed NOTHING. The only bills I owe besides utility and rent and so forth are medical and I am paying regularly on them. Unless one of them became impatient (I notice they haven't quit taking my money) I can think of no reason why I should be in collection. I am very suspicious of these calls!!

- Tina| 1 replyWe got a call today from 714-380-5875 about some bill that we filed bankruptcy on. This person was very rude. Him and a background person started laughing as they made fun of our last name. They wouldn't tell us who they were and the guy was foreign and we could barely communicate our lawyer's name to him. He hung up on us and we called back. The person who answered would not tell us who they were until we told them who we were. They first said their company was called "Platinum". I looked that up on the web before they got off the phone, and of course, there were many options. I asked them to clarify there name and provide a website for there company. This guy said he knew who did this and he would take care of it. He then told us he was from P & R recoveries Platinum. maybe he meant PNR recoveries Platinum. Well I had better luck looking up the phone number. That's how I found this site. We immediately called our bankruptcy lawyer and told her what happened. She tried to call them and they are not answering the phone (probably because they are screening it. We had given them her number to call). She is going to keep calling. In the meantime, her office said we should look at our credit report to see if they are on it. I can't pull from the three reporting agencies because I already got my free on from one of them this year. I will pull the other two, but I am on unemployment and I can't just spend money on stuff like this to investigate what unlawful people are doing to us. This is crazy. What happened to our rights?

I also tell them I am calling our state attorney generals office and report them. They assure me ( hee hee ) that they will not call and the next month they call. This morning I told the rude foreign person that I am calling our atty general and report them for harassment this is not my account . I am very tired of their calls and rudness. Letter is being sent to our State Atty General's office.
