The caller wanted to know who was the primary user of my computer and that my windows software was infected. Strong accent and very demanding persona.

I am so sick of these calls! These people have nothing better to do with their lives than pester us. I received the call from a female Indian at 11:47 CST on 12-11-2014. The caller-id showed up as "UNKNOWN NAME". I should have had enough wisdom to not answer it, but did anyway to ask to be taken off their list. I am on the National Do Not Call registry. This is the same type of call that others have encountered regarding a person from Windows claiming that my computer (which was off most of the day), was causing their systems issues. What a total scam!. Even after I argued with the woman, she just kept on. I finally hung up on her.

got the same call but was a woman caller with the same crap message i just hung up after 30 seconds

They have called a number of times and I told the foreign guy they already called so he hung up

12/18/2014 I too got call from someone with heavy foreign accent.  Did not give his name, just said he was from Windows technical support and that my computer was sending his computers warnings. Recognized this as a scam and when challenged he hung up. I don't have caller id but dialed *69 and the last call number was 716-200-4864..

received call from this number stating they were from windows and reported all our errors and wanted to fix them for us...since we were getting errors at the time I allowed him on the computer with me....he showed me all the problems...then said we needed to protect ourselves with a purchase of windows certification...then I told him we could not afford it and will just buy a new computer....he stated he felt sorry for me as now our identity will be stolen.......is our computer now unsafe?

got the same call same heavy accent . I ask to speak to a supervisor or manager. What the name of the company. He put me on hold then he came back and discussed his voice still a heavy heavy Indian accent. Be very careful this person had my name and address and my telephone number so definitely was looking for more information to do some kind of identity theft

T-ray... yes i would call the bank and make sure. Any info you had he me now have.

calling saying they are from Microsoft and want you to make changes to your computer.

I just got a call from this freak so I hung up on him and he called right back. I told him I didn't have time to talk computers I have a sick kid.. he said when can I call back I said you can't and he got upset saying why ma'am why can't I call back so I hungup.

Same exact guy. I think he was trying to hack into my computer to gain personal information such as online banking IDs and Passwords. Probably an identity thief.

They called this morn. before 8:30.  Told them not to call again.  

Just got a call from 716-200-4864. Tried to get into my computer. I told him I do not give out my information on the phone no matter who you think you are. Spoke with an Indian or Haitian Accent. I continued to tell the person I am a Military Member and I also worked for the Federal Government. We keep our information confidential and do not give out information over the phone. He was so upset he said to me "Shut Up, Shut up". I laughed and knew I had foiled his accomplishment. Ha Ha   I got over on him and blew his spooking. I accomplished my Task. Got him off the phone.  Be careful. They are clever. I'm glad I had all the military and Federal Government training in tactics and fishing for information. I should have told him about Jesus Christ. It was his dime. (smile)

Same as above. I asked him, 'What Operating System are you showing', he answered 'Windows'. I asked 'Which version?', and he answered '7'.
"Sorry, Wrong answer! My number is on the federal government 'do not call' list and I have previously asked you to remove my number from your call list. This will  be reported to the FTC!"
His reply: "Go to hell"

I now have 5 phone numbers on my 'blocked' list - all belonging to these bozos.

scammer trying to get me to turn on my "windows" computer. i dont use "windows". heavy mid eastern accent. kept calling back after i told him off for trying to scam me.

Called with the exact same story as the other posts. Heavy foreign accent, can barely speak English. I have had these exact calls constantly. He said he was from Windows and I said right away "Oh I know my computer is going to shut down or you are going to shut it down (one of the previous calls threat) and I said GET A JOB FOREIGNER! If there is any authority who can make these calls stop I want that.

Received phone call from someone who supposedly worked for windows.  He said that my computer had great problems and that it had been letting his computer know that there were problems. He wanted me to access a specific "Windows Tech Support" website to "save" my computer.  He said his name was Adam.  He had a very thick foreign accent.  We hung up and he called repeatedly afterwards.

Got a call same crap! 1-30-15 He still at it!
