Phone fun: someone from "Microsoft" who would "fix" my computer which had been "hacked". The phone # is 716-200-4864 from "Buffalo, NY" (which explained the heavy Indian accent and background phone boiler room noise).

To prove he was authentic he assured me he knew my Windows license number. With his help we found an impressive number (888DCA60-FC0A-11CF-8F0F-00C04FD7D062) after an impressive jaunt via 'assoc' on the command line.. Of course not a license number just a CLSID number). Then we opened event viewer and went to a place (where there were guaranteed to be lots of OS events) which allowed him a soulful "Oh, my!". Then off we went to a website www.secureme.pc where he wanted me to begin a download.  Sadly, after 10 minutes I had to hang up.

Hopefully, playing confused senior citizen & asking for endless repetition of instructions and wasting lots of his time before hanging up will end the calls.

I have been getting calls from him for weeks and finally picked up today. I told him to remove me from his call list, and he shouted at me that he wouldn't. I reported his number to the department of consumer protection.

Just hung up for the fourth time, came through as Buffalo with background sounds first two times.  First time heard someone make sound like 'hmmm'  waited a second, I hung up after having said hello five or six times.  Immediate call back, sounds but nothing said, advised I would report the call.  Third time came through as unavailable.  Said hello, nothing, okay I'm reporting this now, hung up.  Fourth call, nothing, but as Buffalo again.  So I'm reporting it, here and I guess I'll call my phone company, too.

just received a call from this number and I'm familiar with these people. They say they're calling from windows tech department and im sending them warnings same crap they tell em every time. Windows tech will never call you ever. i called windows and asked them just to make sure.  windows has no idea who they are so its a scam tell them off and move on with your day ha ha.

Called 2 times today and sang and hummed on answering machine. Didn't try to call back.

Received a call from 1-716-200-4864 on 3/16/15.  CID was 'Buffalo NY'.  I gave it the old one ring pickup and immediate hang up. Blocked that number.  Scammer city.

This same guy called me tonight...Got the same spiel...They were calling from Windows and are tracing a hacker using my computer.  He wanted remote access to my computer to catch him.  I hung up and he called me right back....When I asked him if he knew who I was he gave me my husband's name....The computer is registered in my name....He had our phone # right but he had our address and zip all wrong.  I told him I didn't believe him I was giving him no more information I said I would call Microsoft myself and probably the police...First I did a system restore a month back and messaged a couple of techie friends on Facebook and several said they had similar calls.  After reverse tracing the phone number I found out about your calls.  I did call the local PD and they are turning it over to the FBI cyber people.  Wonder how many people he really got to fall for this?

got the same call twice first time my husband tell them off in the no uncertain terms was not nice to him the next time he called I told him off and he says oh my g-d. got call again just now blocked good

If I have the time I like to keep them on the line as long as possible. Act interested with a squeak from a dog toy now and then just to throw of their rhythm. One time we had a 45 min. laugh fest goofing with the caller. If they get jerked around enough they may try something else.

I actually had nothing better going on and pretended to be that stupid and let him think he was accessing my computer.  After I had him on the line for a long time telling him how slow my computer was and basically acting like I was really really stupid, I told him hey we've connected and I hope you like that honey pot I just downloaded into your computer.  Enjoy the Virus and I hung up.

Didn't answer. Don't know anyone in Buffalo and don't want to. Go away spammer.

Got the same call - when I saw Buffalo, I picked up the phone said nothing and he  hung up.

Got a call from 716-200-4864. Answered the phone. Before he got too far into the conversation (big tip off, saying that he was calling from "Windows") immediately hung up. Spoke with heavy indian accent.

Same computer deal.  Called from buffalo.  Heavy accent.

4:15pm on March 27th a live person called me, saying my computer was sending him error messages.    I asked him "Which one of my computers was giving him the error messages?"  He said it was the one that had Windows 7 on it, and was registered to me.   I made my voice loud and said, "They all have that, and are all registered to me.  So which one is sending you the errors?"    He wanted me to go to the computer and sign on to some website, so I yelled into the phone:   "This is a bunch of bull - leave me alone!"  And I hung up on him.

Dude from 716-200-4864 just called me tonight - near Pt Charlotte, Florida.  Heavy accent, from Windows.  Yeah, right.  I asked him if he really though I was going to fall for his scam, and he said "Really, I'm from Windows".  I hung up and HE CALLED BACK.  Told him never to call again.  So far so good.

And I tried calling the number back and NOTHING.  A$$HATS.

I received the same call and when I hung up on him he kept calling back.  I told him to take me off his f**ing call list and hung up. Once again he called back and told me he would f**k me with a condom and continued to be nasty.  My husband answered and told him he would be contacting the police and we have not hear back from him.
