I missed the end of my TV program because I thought a family member had called.  How inconsiderate of you since you wouldn't even answer my return call. Moron!!!

Male with thick East Indian accent claims to be "Microsoft Internet Security" or "Windows Support Service"  telling me that they see my computer on the Internet and it is slow because of some illegal viruses I have downloaded. The one time I played with them (computer and router both powered OFF), they tried to walk me through turning on Remote Access. After 40 minutes I got bored and pointed out that the instructions didn't work well with Apple Leopard. He didn't know what that was, but got abusive when I told him I knew he was scamming me.

Different callers with the same script have called back even though I told them to put me on their do not call list. Last one tried to tell me my cooperation was a matter of national security so I told him I would love to talk to the FBI

Next time tell them, oh no, it is impossible for me to have any illegal viruses on my computer. All the viruses I have are legal !!

I received the same call with a VERY heavy Indian or Pakistani accent, and when I asked how he got my number, which is on the DO NOT CALL LIST, he said he was from Windows and that my computer was sending his server warnings.  I run Mac OS, so I told him he was lying, and he called me an idiot.  Ha ha.

I told him repeatedly to take our number off their list.

Then I hung up and did a reverse search on Google and found this site complaining about this number: 1-716-200-4864

Got a call from this number on 5-26-15 @ approx. 7:45 PM. No one said anything. After the 2nd time I said 'hello" there was a pinging noise & an automated female voice said "good-bye".

I told the man that he was a thief and to stop calling me that I would report him to he FTC.  after I hung up he called right back. I said it was a big fine for calling me when I was on the do Not Call List.  He called back again that night.  He called again the next night  Unbelievable.  It is a well known scam that they try to tell you they work for Microsoft and then get into your computer steal your passwords then steal your money.  Why hasn't this been shut down?

I got a message from an its agent from this number telling me I was in trouble to paraphrase his comments !

Got call from this number earlier today.  They didn't leave message; I don't answer any calls if I don't recognize the number.  Previous postings indicate caller is likely to be from outside the US and spoofing the caller ID.  FTC can't even handle the violations of the Do Not Call list that occur from within the US; they don't have jurisdiction on calls from outside our borders.

I keep on getting calls from this number 716-200-4864 from New York, they said it is from computer windows.  This is very annoying and I am about to report this to the authorities. They call at any time of the day and night...

I bet you this call is from the Philippines and using NY's area code as a fake code.

They are not telemarketers they are ID thefts, they are fishing for victims.

I just got a call from 716-200-4864, not sure what this scam artist thinks he's trying to do but he claims to be calling from a Windows support company and my computer is sending him errors. He didn't like it very much when I told him I was an IT Director and he better get to the point of his scam real quick...do he hung up on me. :)

Tried calling him back and it goes to dead air once the number is dialed.

He keeps calling and my husband keeps telling him that we don't even HAVE a computer.  Persistent jerk!

This number has called repeatedly. Same old tired scam. I don't answer the phone anymore.

This is the third time I've heard from him.  Called and identified himself as working for Windows.
 I said: "You mean Microsoft?"

Me-     "What company do you work for?"
Windows-guy     "Microsoft corp."

Didn't answer the call but the machine did answer it and all I heard was heavy breathing?????  I don't answer calls from out of our area code that I don't recognize.

I keep receiving these phone calls.  What can we do to stop it.!

Thank you, fellow posters... after reading the above comments, I don't have to wait to see if they call back and/or leave a message.  Now blocked!

Just got a call from this number 716-200-4864. Man with India accent asked for me by name and that he was from Windows tech support.  I said " Windows Tech support?   How did you get my name and phone number? " He quickly hung up.  HE KNEW MY NAME.  And now reading some of the other comments, I see he knows registration numbers as well.  People, what ever you do, NEVER follow instructions to anyone over the phone with personal info or steps on a computer.  They have the technology to see into all your files once you do a few things they tell you to do on your PC.  Window, Mac, HP, and all the other computer and lap top making companies DO NOT CALL THEIR CUSTOMERS.  It's so sad there are so many that fall for this trick.  I got a call a few days ago, I didn't make note of the phone number, but same accent, same Windows tech support say they see that my computer was being compromised. I told him I didn't have a computer and he said I was lying because my phone number says the is one connected to my line.  I just laughed at him and he hung up.  Stay safe everyone, it's a con's artist world we live in.
