they left a message saying i needed to call them back. i called back and said i wanted to know what kind of company they were, and she wouldnt tell me.when i called, they knew who it was calling, i obviously said it wasnt me and that the person they were looking for used to use this phone but we are friends and i now have the phone. the girl actually said "when you get home, can you look her number up and call back and give it to me?" i told her " i think its better if i have her call you." i have a feeling that even though i told her it was not the right persons phone, they will continue to call. i have to admit, i am behind on credit card bills and i am sure thats what its about, but they are pushy and rude and go way over the line. these people act like i owe them a personal debt and not the company they work for. they are probably making 6 dollars an hour and are taking their jobs a little bit too seriously

They called up and pretended that they were a personal friend of the person who has my phone number before me.  (They called and asked for "Mike".)

They called at 8:35AM and I told them that they were in violation of the Fair Credit Standard Practices Act as they have given me information about this person's debt situation.

I will call the phone company and report the incident.

"Jessica" called me, speaking like she knew me. She was calling for my roommate who I have as much association with as I do the next door neighbor - we just live in the same house. Apparently the loser that is my roommate listed me as a contact and didn't pay his bill.

She was just talking to me and asking all of these questions and when I asked her who she was, she started being extra rude to me. I told her I didn't have my roommates number (which she didn't believe) and said that I could only get it from the callbox at our apartment and then she couldn't grasp the concept of a callbox. She then told me to go get the number from the callbox and call her back. Yeah right. The whole time she's being rude to me, like I owe her money when I don't even know what's going on.

The lady called a relative that I never lived with told my aunt that they are calling about a debt I owe and they can't find me, considering that they have my contact information.  The lady was so rude and nasty and I guess she didn't like my response so she hung up in my face and then had another lady call me back who was just as rude- they wouldn't give me their name.

1st call- left message on machine- detailing nam, case, attempt to collect a debt.  Violation of FDCPA 804, 15 USC 1692b and/or c.  (Foti vs. NCO Fin. Sys. Inc.  (NY))

2nd call- 5:19 am next day.  Violation of FDCPA 805(a)

Gathering as much info as possible.  Strange they'd be so aggressive so soon, assuming they are calling me for a debt that is only 2 months past due due to a job loss...will engage them for statute of limitations in case it is some non-existent debt or one paid years ago.

this number have called 3x already, once a day. The caller is different every day saying they're from firstsource advantage, and saying they got a correspondent from my husband..and he left a reference number and said he'd be waiting for his call until 10pm.

I dont answer calls I am not familiar with, unless they're my friends, or my husband calling me. If this is a collection agency, well all our bills are updated, so I see no reason why they'd call.

Probably a total fraud!  Like trying to get your information.  Dont fall for it.  Ridiculous.  They should be reported and an investigation should be done.

"first source" called about a debt that i supposidly owe. "first source" is a false name.....not sure who they are, but they keep calling. they said that if i didn't pay, they would contact my employer.  i talked with a legal rep that i know and IT'S AGAINST FEDERAL LAW FOR THEM TO CONTACT EMPLOYERS OR TO LEAVE MESSAGES WITH ACCT NUMBERS, POLICY NUMBERS ETC ON VOICE MAIL/ANSWERING MACHINES.  regardless the man and woman was rude, wouldn't listen to anything i said and kept saying i'd be in good standing (credit wise) with the company and would reflect a good credit if i paid them.  this company is just trying to swindle money from people.  IF THEY CALL ME AGAIN, I'M CALLING MY LAWYER....
