    www.firstsource.com  Bud says ... Account Solutions Group (ASG) is typical of the many sleazy debt collectors who are now based around Buffalo, NY, which has become the debt collection capital of America.

    Using under trained, unprofessional, overzealous debt collectors who use threats of litigation, intimidation, and fear, to collect. ASG has a lousy reputation for responding to disputes involving the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act. These are federal laws that were passed to regulate the collection industry and protect consumers from inaccurate information being placed on their credit reports.

    This is NOT an agency to be believed or trusted. Most of these agency owners pay more attorney fees as a defendant than they do as a plaintiff, further strengthening their reputation as parasites and bottom-feeders.

    Western New York has traditionally suffered with high unemployment rates, which makes for a large pool of job seekers. The bad thing is that Buffalo has become polluted with an epidemic of debt collectors whom have adopted a 'get-fired today', 'hired-tomorrow' attitude that is further spreading the tumor of self-destruction across the Western New York area.

    Agency's like Account Solutions Group will one day be, just another boarded up building on that long street of greed-suckers and big ego's that have made this country what it is today. We can all hasten the demise of ASG by using the laws as they were intended, to stop them from EVER contacting you.

    I got a new phone number and I started getting calls but never when i'm home ALWAYS when me and the husband are at work. the caller id just says Totowa, NY. With my phone service, I just set a filter on my phone so when they call they get a "this number is not in service message." Anyone else receiving these calls...did you also have a new phone number?

    A collection agency named 'First Source Advantage LLC' keeps leaving messages on my cell phone to call them about a dept incurred by another family member over 10 years ago. I called them and told them to cease and desist and that I will be forwarding this harrassment info to my attorney with all the info needed to get this company off my back.

    I have had my current number for over 10 months. Before I had the number another party owned the number and owe several creditors. I first registered my number w/the do not call list. I alos told each creditor that called that this was a new number and I am on the do no call list and would like the solicitation to stop. Of course they refused.  I then contaced an attorney. I first sent them a cease and assist letter. Of course that did not work. In the mist of that I began to document all call from all Collections agencies. I also went to the PSC,FTC,BBB,Consumer Affairs, Attorney General Office in FL as well. this was done as a record so when we get to court there would be no..ooh we did not know. To make a long story short. I'm currently suing over 10 collections/creditors. We are in the last stages of settling and gues what I'm getting around 3-5 thousand from each creditor/collection agency. The violations: calling after 9:00, violating the fdcpa,frca and harassment. Remember I do not owe the debt never owe. I was also told that even if you owe the debt and the continue the harassment htey would end up oweing you. People do you research and take legal action that is the only way thet will stop. Now I'm laughing all the way to the bank...

    Got a call this afternoon from First Source Advantage saying they had urget business to discuss with our daughter, that they were working on a business matter for her.  If that's true, why didn't they call her number?  She hasn't lived with us for 12 years.

    Received call (Caller ID - 'Out of area') from someone claiming they were a collection agency called "First Source Advantage" representing CapitalOne Bank and asking for me by name. The first person who spoke to me had a heavy foreign accent (from India) asked what and when I planned to pay $2,231.61 I owed on my VISA account "2517" from CapitalOne Bank. Told individual I did't owe anyone any money and asked to speak to his manager - moment later another foreign sounding guy got on phone and repeated a threat if I didn't pay.  Asked him to give me his telephone number so I can call back to validate his call.  Gave me "866-276-8306" and told me to use "11135569" as a confirmation of his call.  Tried in vain to talk to CapitolOne Bank Fraud Department - first person I spoke to was in Argentina, second person was in Portland, Oragon and last person was located in Montreal, Canada - calls were useless - there was absolutely no interest.  Decided to call the 866-276-8306 First Sourse Advantage number and I immediately received a reply.  They were expecting my call because I didn't have to identify myself (guess they got my name from the caller ID).  The female, also with a heavy foreign accent, told me I owed $2260.60 (note different amount) and that I MUST MAIL THAT AMOUNT to them at Post Office Box 628, Buffalo, NY 14240 immediately.  I told her to take a walk and I hung up.  Went to my local CapitolOne Bank brance that had my checking account and talked to the manager.  She listened and revealed that a week earlier, another bank customer came up to her and related exactly the same series of events as I had just experienced.  Spoke to a someone in the bank who researched my accounts and they stated that the First Source Advantage was perpetrating a fraud. Surely the government, or at least the bank, should take some action against First Source Advantage!!!!

    Called asking for my daughter.  The call was at 7pm on a Sunday.  The male caller would not identify himself by name.  Said my daughter needed to call the number regarding an exteremly important matter.  When I called my daughter her husband said he had just received a call from them but they were rude and he hung up.  I feel they were trying to intimiate my daughter by calling me after calling her.  This sounds like an unscrupulous company.

    This is what they do. They call relatives so that the relatives call the debtor, or suspected debtor. It's a very effective tool to bully people into speaking with them. It backfired on them when they called my ex. I was glad they were harassing her!

    They are only allowed to call relatives once, and only for location purposes. But, being the scum they are, they will keep calling relatives over and over.

    I got a call with a recording saying "this is first sourse advantage llc, please holdt for the next available agent".  While I was writing down that name in case I need to file a complaint, someone came on the line and just said "hello".  Can you believe that?! I said "you called me; what do you want?"  They were looking for someone I don't know.  I told them they had the wrong number and not to call here again.  If they do, I'll file a complaint with NC Consumer Protection office.

    I don't owe money to anyone so I don't know why a debt collection agency is calling me anyway.  I want them to stop waking me up in the morning with their phone calls.  I have caller ID so now I know not to pick up the phone.
