My girlfriend received a message on her home phone.
The number was 774-221-8770, the automated message said that she has a law suit against here. She called that number and all she got was "your call is very important to us please hold on or press 0 to leave a message.I personally feel that this is the stupidest scam ever tried, I hope the bonehead(s) get caught and they get a real action of law thrown at them,

The message left on my machine said:
<Name of person> This is <couldn't make it out> Investigation Unit. We are contacting you with a complaint being filed against you. Pursuant: Case and affidavit number are SWBR-2220. Where you have been named respondent in a court action and must appear. There is a contact number on file that you must call 77428770. Please forward the information to your attorney. In that, the order to show cause contains a restraining order. You and your  attorney have up to 24-48 hours to oppose this matter. Thank you and good luck.

I got the same thing today

I got a phone call from National legal corp # 774-221-8770 telling me that some one was taking legal action against me who I have no Idea when I called the number the first time it said that the mail box was full the second time it said that my call was important to them to hold and someone would be with me then I was on hold for one hour so while I was still on hold I look them up on the internet and got this site I think this kind of thing should not be legal I think it is a from of harassment and we should be able to press charge against this corporation someone should help us find out just who these guy are and stop them

Ditto. This is a scam. They used my wife's "before me name"  hope no one falls for this..

I received this same call today on my home and cel phone.  it was a robo call stating I have 48 hours to show cause on a restraining order and to forward the info to my lawyer etc . I knew it was a scam and did not attempt to call the number back for fear my phone bill would arrive with some outragious charge on it.

They left a message threatening legal action against someone that doesn't even live at my home.  Have left messages everyday this week and when I try to call them back the following things happen:
1.  Select the option that applies- the phone rings & rings & rings-  never got an answer
2.  Selected all other options and the same thing happened
3.  Selected the option that applies- selected the leave a message option- got disconnected
4.  Selected all other options- same thing happened
5.  Tried to leave a message and was told the mail boxes were full.

I've received this call two days in a row.  What a crock!  It's a shame they are allowed to frighten people.

I got this call from 774-221-8770 and I spent 12 hours
on hold and listing to the voice mail box is full please
try your call again later. I am a disabled stroke victim
and I don't have time or money for attorney fees and
a law suit of a company I have never heard of. Thinking
this is a scam and BS.

I'm sure it is a scam.  But did you really spend 12 HOURS on hold????

This company is calling me threatening legal action, a restraining order and a court date against my recently deceased mother!!!!

Call them back and give them the phone number for the cemetary she is buried in as her "new" contact number unless you have a probate lawyer for her estate.  If so, let the estate attorney handle the matter.

I am 95 and got a call from this number advising legal suit pending and to contact with an attorney.

I got the call about 5PM. I called the number and got a recording that "THE MAIL BOX OF THE PERSON YOU CALLED IS CURRENTLY FULL AND CANNOT ACCEPT NEW MESSAGES. PLEASE TRY YOUR CALL AGAIN LATER . Looks like some people have nothing better to do with their time except BS like this.

I received a call today from this number...774-221-8770 statitng a lawsuit, that I steal somebody's money.

I dial back the number but just an answering machine telling to press1,2 or 3 but nobody answer. I looked into the google to find out this number...it was a scamped...

I just had the brain storm of the century. I looked at my caller ID and found that this number is listed with the name Emma Chaney. Think I might look her up, and make a few annoying calls myself.
