- Tom HGot this call today and came here before I did anything. Called the normal PNC number and they transferred me to Loss Prevention. I did have a charge on the account I did not make. Canceled my card immediately and waiting for a new one. I guess scammers are using the legit number as well.
- Caller: PNC Bank
- AmyThis number called. They only asked for my name. There was fradulent charge but I went and got a new card from PNC branch so either way my old card doesn’t work.

- Lolly replies to LindaI got a call From the same number yesterday, February 12, 2021, and they wanted my three digit security code number and I told her I didn’t feel comfortable giving her that, and she also said she was from PNC. I tried to call the local number and they were at a holiday that day and couldn’t get a hold of the branch. Glad I didn’t give it to her.
- Timmy replies to Jeremy| 1 replyYes. This is a scam, And should not be looked at as anything but a scam, PNC will never ever call you directly for anything. EVER. If there is an issue call the number on the back of your card, Never give out your information just because some automated message on a call is claiming to be your bank.
- APThis WAS PNC calling me. I got a call from this number today with a fraud warning and they cancelled my card. I called PNC back directly afterwards through the main number - they had the same information and confirmed that my card had been cancelled and that they were sending me a new one - it all matched up. They flagged possible fraudulent activity that had been declined and hadn't actually hit my card.

- PJ replies to LindaTHIS CALL IS DEFINITELY LEGITIMATE!! I received an automated message that there was suspicious activity on my debit card, so I called the number provided. After about a 5 minute wait, a live person was able to go through recent transactions to my account. In addition, someone tried to charge a $95 fast food order to my debit card, and the business detected fraud and declined the transaction, and reported it.. (The fast food place is 1-2 hours away from where I live.) Then there was another attempt to charge something on the same debit card for another large order on the same day to a tea company, and that company also detected fraud and declined the order. My card was disabled as I spoke to the gentleman from PNC, and I was given the option to either wait a few days for my new debit card, or have one printed at a nearby branch so I can pick it up at my convenience. Thanks PNC for looking out for your customers. You've made me feel valued and protected!!
- MikeB replies to JAYExactly. Got the same call from that number but when so-called "PNC Rep" asked for 3-digit number on back of card, I knew then it wasn't the bank. Called 1-888-762-2265 (PNC-BANK) and was told the bank would NEVER ask for 3-digit or PIN because it can't be used to verify an account or account holder.
- CeeceeCalled this number after PNC closed and some lady answered it's a SCAM! I USED TO WORK FOR THE BANK!!!
