I started getting calls from this number since I was eligible to upgrade to a "new every 2" phone (while still under my contract for another 2 months).  I never answered, but after reading the posts I called and had them put me on the "do not call" list.  We'll see if they actually do stop calling.

The telemarketer kept trying to upsell me even after I told him all I wanted was to be placed on the DNC list. I ended up hanging up on his pitch.

If your company were legitimate, the name of the company would be displayed in caller id and a voicemail message would be left for the recipient. Continuing to make these calls constitutes harassment.
I understand that you may be doing your job, but it is your choice to work for a company like this.

Keep getting this on my daughter's phone, who passed away Sept. 16. Have not returned the call.

I get a call from this number every couple of days for the last few weeks. It's annoying. If I answer there is nothing at the other end of the line. I have not, and probably wont, called the number back. I am way past the two year point of my contract and I assume this is why. I wish it would stop. I plan on canceling my account soon anyways. This type of thing is not making me want to renew another one with Verizon Wireless again.

4 weeks to the day later, they called again.  I will call one more time to have my number removed from the list!

We only call you to renew your contract and give promos. we are not trying to sell you a $400 phone. the we get paid is if you buy a phone we get $0.50. no matter if is $400 phone or a free phone. and we work on behalf of Verizon Wireless. So if you want us not to call just say DO-NOT-CALL-LIST please.. but its real and good deals. most of the time we put you on cheaper plans and save you money.

A way to get you to pay for call blocking? Disgusting.

I recently received these calls constantly like everyone else did. So finally called back to see what it was all about. I ended up getting a brand new phone and extra minutes on my account for FREE, and the only thing i had to do was renew my contract which i was going to do anyway. So all you idiots should stop complaining and take the free stuff they are giving you becuase you know that if you switch to another carrier they will also call you and annoy you.

Sometime's you'll miss an outbound call from the call center, but mostly a computer dialler calls the number without you actually being able to answer the call so your phone automatically shows a "missed call". The idea is to get you to call back in to find out what it's about, then the representative on the phone can talk to you about your plan and see if they can either sell you a new one or upgrade your current plan to something else that might be better for you.
Same with the text messages, they get sent by Kipany's computer, not by anyone in the building you call in to. It's an information thing, if you want to keep paying overages just ignore the texts or calls, because the rep you speak to can only really sell you something if you need something to save you money on the overages you're getting by not having a feature that would save you money.
Yes the rep has all the customer information at their fingertips when they enter your phone number. Verizon give it to them, they don't steal it, and without it they wouldn't be able to do their jobs and you wouldnt be able to ask questions about your account.

Don't get mad with the rep's either, they're only doing a job to make money to live just like you are. They earn around $8.50/hr plus whatever little bit of commission they can make after they cope with the BS that goes with having to deal with irrate customers that call in arguing that they didn't access the mobile web, or over use their minutes, when it's right there on the screen in front of the rep's face. The computer doesn't lie about that kind of stuff.
It's not straight commmission either, you only get paid your commission if you convert over a certain percentage (often 45%) of your calls to a sale. If you don't do that you get zip,zilch,zero. Try that kind of conversion rate in a phone sales job when half the time people don't even want to speak to you because they're fuming mad about the overages they have cost themselves, or because the system hasn't updated their details a month later.

I've done that job, it was low paid, unrewarding and monotonous, you get a lot of crap on the calls from rude and demanding people. It isn't the rep's fault you get the text or calls. When you get hired for the job most get mislead by the hype that you can make $20 - $30 an hour when in fact most don't earn much above the base pay and then they get fired after a few months for not reaching a near impossible target.

Because it's not a person. It's a computer and you can't speak to it. It wants you to call back, that's the whole idea.
BTW When you call back it comes out of your minute allowance.

Depends on what plan you have as to what credit you are eligible for. A smaller plan = a smaller credit towards a new phone. It may have been that the credit wasn't a Verizon NE2 credit, but a credit being offered by Kipany or the subcontractor. Call verizon and ask them what credit you will be eligible for.
The rep was trying it on, and just trying to make a sale, you say no and they can't sell you anything. Some are a bit disreputable, but it's the way they are forced to sell stuff because the pay is so low and they rely on commission.

They are actually a third party company and the ones that call on behalf of Verzion are located in Florida cause my cousin worked for them like two weeks.. They work on commission and that's why they push the upgrades and products

They're starting to use this number again! I speak gibberish at them-- Tchez boko du da trenzka kenho yavoska-- and eventually they give up. I rarely get more than one or two calls from the same company. Practice your gibberish-- the above is adapted from the Star Wars scene with Han and the bounty hunter in Mos Eisley, a great source of cool gibberish-- and you'll make the TMs nuts!

Stop your your crying" im on the national do not call list" half of you guys dont have a clue... 90 pecent of you babies are a custumer of verizon so they can call you to let you know of offers and promotion.. if
you closed mided fat ladies woukd actully talk to the reps you would probly find out that you would save  money or get upgraded sevices,,, once your promotions run out they let you know what deals and savings your up for... except crying that you are geting calls see what there offering why pay more when can pay less... renewing  a contact or taking advantage of saving isent a bad thing,,,, you have time to come on a forum to complain about calls when takes the same amount of time you are spending to see what offers your up for... and the ones that dont take atvantage are complaining there bills too high cause you dont want to take a min out of your so called busy lives to see what you up for but complain on a forum... shake my head idiots....

Unless you tell them to place you on the internal DNC.. Then they can't call you for 5 years! Back it up in writing via certified US Mail..

I'm one of those guys who blocked Verizon's numbers so you teletrolls can't ring through.    Sorry, but I'd rather listen to my neighbor's dog bark all night than hear you drone on about  all the "special deals" that end up locking me into endless contracts at twice the price of your competitors.     But feel free to call, and call, and call.   My call blocker knows just what to do when your numbers pop up.

Crawling out of the primordial ooze in my troll hole to recommend that you learn to spell and use the correct homonyms.  One looses all credibility to this "closed mided {sic} fat lady" when he cannot distinguish "to from too", and "their from there".  I also can't seem to find the word "isent" in any dictionary of modern English.  

Observation:  Having read only two of your posts, I pick up on an intense hatred / antipathy that you seem to have against women.  Have you ever considered therapy to address this?

Now back to the comfort of my polluted culvert, to pick up some more nasty parasites and eat a few pounds of sucrose emulsified in lard.  Must do so in order to maintain my fat lady status. I seriously am a troll.  I live by a creek culvert and spend a fair amount of time down there (their???) picking up litter and checking out the hydrology, flora and fauna in my little piece of Heaven on Earth.

Yeah, you got me.  I'm the idiot on this one.  I just caught my error.  Going without sleep tends to lead to cognitive blips.  I reckon I'll just stay in my creek from now on.  I don't seem to be able to take the heat.  Thanks for affirming that I just need to shut up, keep my opinions to myself and use this site to look up unwanted numbers, as opposed to participating in the conversations.  I did enjoy (and will miss) the banter, but there are plenty of interesting objects in the culvert to keep this troll (actually that is my nickname among friends) occupied and at peace.
