I just talked to some one at this company!  They are a telemarketing company that gets paid a commission from Verizon Wireless when you renew your agreement with them.  

The company is located in Tampa Florida, the name of there organization is:

I called Verizon Wireless customer service and reported these calls (which I get almost daily). They are from their 3rd party marketing company.  Verizon Wireless said that they will remove me from their list.  The number for customer service is 1-800-922-0204.  Thanks to Michael Jordan for the tip.  Maybe this 3rd shifter can finally get some rest during the day.

It is against the law in Virginia to not show who is calling on the caller ID.  So you are breaking the law in the State of Virginia.  And if Verizon wants me to do something, they can ask about it on my bill.  My bill is already 10 pages long; what's another page? It is ridiculous.

If someone calls on my phone, and it does not show up on my caller ID., then I know it is a sales call, so I just do not answer.  I suggest the same for everyone.  Maybe they will get frustrated and stop calling.  But if they start calling me, as they have called some, three times daily- I will answer and give them a piece of my mind, and tell them to take me off their call list.  I have Verizon Home phone, Verizon Wireless, and Verizon Broadband- what more could they want from me- Blood?  Sorry, I already give.  Happy Halloween!!

Is it not possible that this is one of Verizon's competitors, trying to get us annoyed at Verizon so that we'll go elsewhere? Sneaky, but it makes more sense than the idea that Verizon is just annoying us by themselves through this kind of idiocy. I called Verizon on their normal customer help line and the woman said she had no record of this number and didn't know what it was about, and she's put in a complaint form to someone higher up. We'll see.

Several calls from this number, never leaves a message...

Jeez people calm down!!! This number is for Verizon Wireless. I too saw this number, called back and got a rep on the phone. My contract was almost up for renewal and they were calling to let me know about certain promotions that I qualified for. You just need to be patient and a rep will come to the phone and let you know why they were calling…!

Hey, first of all learn to spell!
Secondly, I work nights - so when your little courtsey calls wake me up three times a day - I am not a happy camper.  How about if all of the Verizon customs who get these calls - cancel their (see how it is spelled) plans. You should get a job where you are not disturbing people.If I want Verizon services - I will call myself. Leave me alone.

A number of calls show up on my Caller ID. FWIW I am a current Verizon Wireless subscriber but the calls come to my landline.

It may take up to thirty days to remove your number.

Caller doesn't answer when we pick up. They don't hang up either!

Everytime they call I call Kipany in NY back immediately and hang up.  Fight fire with fire.

Called twice today, hung up when I answered.

This number keeps calling me everyday, same time a day. When I answer, no one answers. I did not even know who it was untill I googled the number and found this page. Personally, its getting on my nerves and I wish it would stop. At least someone please answer when I answer!

I just got this call twice this week.  When I picked up today they said that I had an account that was $70 over.  When I went online to check my account and saw that it was fine I hung up.  I called Verizon customer service and they told me that it was NOT a verizon phone number.  It is a fraud.  Do NOT give them any information!!!

I just got a call from 800-310-5479....I said hello and they hung up on
me! I called the number back and only get a recording"Thank you for
calling Verizon Wireless...youare now being transferred to a representative", and NOBODY ever picks up...the recording goes on and on.

Please have this stopped!

I too received the call and ignored it several times. The next time I see that number appear I'll pick up and say: "Verizon Wireless, how can I help you?", just to throw them off as if they have dialed a wrong number.

Calls 2 times a day, does not leave message.

The same ol ring and no answer (800-310-5479). Started on Nov. 7 and since then i've received 4 calls, including a call from A DIFFERENT number(866-610-8948), where a representative let me know that my contract was coming up, and asking if i wanted to upgrade my phone.

Sorry, i got confused, the other number was RCN, it was the first time that they (800-310-5479) called that i spoke with a person, since then it's just been the hang-ups.
