They've been calling me for awhile now, several times a week, and since my area code starts with an 8, I've answered thinking it was a local call. Nobody's on the line. This is a very bad way to convince me to sign up for anything, since it's adding minutes to my monthly total, as well as just being an annoying interruption. Now I've spent more time looking up the number, so the irritation level at this particular "service" is climbing.  Bad move, Verizon! I'm already on the federal do not call list, as I have been since it's first announcement, and I re-join that list every year, to make sure I'm still listed with all my numbers. Very bad manners to give my number to a telemarketer, I certainly did NOT give permission to Verizon to sell or share my information to anyone!

Just talked to Verizon. This company is outsourced by Verizon to call you when your contract is about to expire. They offer a free phone or extra 100 minutes. If you accept, you'll be signed up for another binding contract. They'll mumble over the details or deny that there's any stipulation to these "rewards". Tell them never to call you again. Do not accept their [***]. Be free to stop using Verizon whenever you want.

    VZ stinks
Got a call from this number and no one left a message.  I thought it might have been the supervisor calling me for a potential job I had interviewed for.   Got me all excited, but I didn't recognize the number, so I looked it up.  Stupid VZ!!  This is obnoxious.  I didn't ask for VZ to call me to offer free "upgrades" from an outside vendor.  I don't want to get their calls.  This and other incidents with VZ are making me dislike their company and I'm seriously considering dropping them.  They're too shady.

This number has been stalking me, twice a day for about a week. I never answerany number I don't recognize, but am glad to know who is calling constantly. I can't stand these calls and everyone that has actual business calling my number will leave a message.

When we answer, there is silence, then you can hear them hang up.

The company name is Kipany Productions and is outsourced by Verizon Wireless to call people who's contracts are up or almost up.  They offered an extra 100 mins for an extention of 2 years on my contract or $30 off a new phone.  I wouldn't trust them and just stick with dealing directly w/ Verizon. They say that they are calling "on behalf of Verizon", but working through a 3rd party vendor can be more of a hassle than what it's worth if you just work with Verizon directly.

I am also a Verizon Wireless customer whose contract has recently ended and am now being hounded by calls from 800-310-5479.  Thank you SuperSnoop for your very useful information!

I have called Verizon Wireless customer service.  The rep was going to solve the problem by putting me on a Do Not Call list but I do not believe that will solve the problem.  This will probably only prevent Verizon Wireless from contacting me and not an outsourced company such as Kipany Productions.  Plus I do not mind Verizon Wireless contacting with information about my contract ending but I do not want the ridiculous amount of calls I am receiving from this outsourced company.  Plus there is a very very good chance that an outsourced company like Kipany Productions will screw-up account in costly ways.

I told the representative that I wanted Verizon Wireless to still be able to contact me but I did not want an outsourced company contacting me.  I also asked him to bring the issue to his supervisor.  He completed a report to an offline escalation team and I was advised that someone will getting back to me.

I do not have Verizon.  For anything.  Never have and (because of this) never will.  How do they even have my number?

I got calls daily from this number but I never answered because I was at work.  When they called on the weekends and I answered, I got hung up on.

A few weeks ago I called them to tell them to stop harassing me and a rep told me that they were looking for someone else, not me.  I told her to take me off the list and I was reported the number to the "Do Not Call Registry."  She said she would take my number out of the system.

Well, guess what?  I just got another call from them.  Wonderful.

They have been calling about 3 times a week for over a month. Nobody there when I do answer, so I saved the number so I could ignore it. Today they called twice, and I'm very tired of this. I've reported them to the FCC, and will continue to report every time they call.

I do not know if this organization is affliated with Verizon or not, but I am on the Do Not Call list (you can google it if interested). While I am a Verizon customer, this complaint would require whomever to disclose that they are calling on behalf of Verizon going forward- if in fact they are sub-contracted by Verizon. If they have no affliation with Verizon or any other organization I have existing relationships with, then they will likely be subject to fines. I recommend that anyone else that has problems with this organization or any others register for the Federal Do Not Call list- and you can register a cell phone # to the list. Keep in mind registeration is only valid for 5 years and it's only applicable to companies that you do not have an existing current business relationship. If I recall correctly, current business relationship is within an 18 month time span, but I am not sure- that can be verified on the government web site though.

For the user in this forum that claims to work at this organization- well perhaps you would have less problems if you simply told people who you were and why you were calling. I would then have told you directly that I do not want to be called further- rather than need to report your organization to the federal government. Only if the calls had persisted would I feel the need to follow up with the feds, however from the posts above, it seems to indicate an unwillingness to do the right thing.

I keep getting calls from 800's.  Once being 800-310-5479.  I do not answer the calls as I do not know where they are coming from and I am on the do not call list.

    stop calling me!
Multiple calls per day, for more than a week now. Just googled the phone number and found this forum; I called the number back and got a customer service representative, and told them to remove me from their list. Let's hope it works! FYI, I am on the national Do Not Call list, so that doesn't necessarily protect you.

Endless daily hang up calls. I am a Verizon customer but this is causing me to re-think renewing my contract, and change suppliers.  Might call AT&T tomorrow and ask them if they outsource to telemarketers too???

Same thing - I get 3 calls a day for the past week or so. I finally called it back just now and was told they are a third party working for Verizon Wireless. They knew that I had gone over on my text messaging plan and wanted to offer an upgrade. The woman knew my name and address just from seeing my number on the caller ID. I asked to be removed from the list.
