- Sue"Verizon" called to tell me that my contract was up, they knew my plan minutes, and how much I use the cell, said I was eligble for a "reduced" phone, and when I questioned the price, he said "your bill will say $50" for the new phone, so when I asked him to break down the prices for me, turns out I will be BILLED for $100, THEN have a mial in rebate- so NO BUDDY, my BILL will state $100, NOT $50!, Then after all that, turns out I will really be billed for $179, minus the $50 mail in rebate, to total $129, this guy totally couldn't do his math, so I told him I would go to a verizon store and hung up on him.

- Rach| 1 replyI got a text message from this number at 12:22 in the morning saying, "You owe money to the federal tax bureau, a warrent for your arrest will be issued in 4 business days"
- shaynaI called this number back after missing the call several times, and it was Verizon hoping to sell me a new text package for my plan. I told them I already had a plan with them, and they tried to tell me I had gone over my limit and would need a bigger plan. I informed them I had in fact not gone over and they told me they would stop calling. It's very strange. Just call them and ask them to stop calling. Typically Verizon has better customer service than that.

- MikeI keep getting calls from this number, 1 - 3 every day. Someone else posted that it was Kipanny productions and is trying sell contracts for Verizon. I looked up that company, which is a direct marketing firm.
Kipany Productions Direct Marketing, 32 east 39th street, New York, NY 10016
1-212-883-8300
If it is indeed this company, everyone ought to call them 3 times a day. - jalen45 replies to Cynicfunniest thing ive seen in a while
- peaches| 1 replyBeen receiving calls from this number semi-regularly. They call my blackberry which does not even have cell phone service set up on it! I've never answered but found this forum by googling the number. I don't even have a verizon contract - it's an office blackberry registered in my company name!!
- michael Jordan replies to Tim| 9 repliesWELL FIRST OFF U DUMMY!! Its not a scam!! We never call saying we are verizon wireless we say we are callling on behalf of verizon wireless regarding your account! The reason CS verizon doesnt have record of a call is bc we arent csv but actually a 3rd party call center that calls u to inform u tht your account is coming up for renewal!! If u took a couple moments to listen u would know tht and if u want to verify tht u can call verizon csv at 1800 922 0204 and ask if they know who kipany productions is and they would answer yes and would verify we are not a scam!!
- sam replies to D.K| 1 replyDaily getting call from this number, when pick up, nothing clear what he talks. He bugs me alot
- Elva29I have received many calls from the 1-800 number 1-800-310-5479, and as you guys have, when I answer they hang-up on me. I am tired of this, so I decided to call the number back and all I got was an answering machine that transfered me with a Verizon representative, I waited for 5 minutes and they answered ...
I explained to them that I have been receiving around 5 calls a day, that when I answer they hang-up on me. He then tells me that they are having problems with their automatic servic, etc, etc.
I then asked them if they could erase my tel. number from their list, because they have been calling my home number, not my cell number, and he said:, sure, are you calling from this number? xxxxxxxxxx. I was then told that I have been removed from their list.- Call type: Unwanted
- Annoyed replies to D.KThe number originates from a computer and is randomly dialed from all Verizon Wireless customers. Once the call originates on the automated end, it terminates when the cell phone user originates (or answers) the call on the destination end. Thus, when you answer your cell phone you disconnect the automated call. Verizon Wireless is counting on a certain percentage of subscribers to become annoyed and return the call inquiring about the hang ups...that is when they have you on the line and can try to upsale you on your current plan, as well as try to have you renew your two-year agreement early in an effort to lock you in, while providing you with an incentive discount. All of this, from a phone call YOU technically orginated when you called back...thus, relieving them from liability of the "Do Not Call" list, and telecommunication spam. Unethical, yet quite brilliant from a marketing stand point. However, a perfect (and classic) set up for a class action claim against the wireless provider.
- J BizThey didn't hang up on me when I finally answered. I'm out of contract so she was trying to trick me into reupping for 2 years.
Well first.. she said she couldn't hear me and it must be a bad connection, to which I laughed and said "Well I'm wireless, are you?"
But anyway... she offered me a new phone and said "Do you like camera or no camera?" like I'd actually buy a phone sight unseen. Then I said no I'm happy with mine and she said "OK, I'll just go ahead and renew your plan and give you an extra 50 minutes". I asked if that meant renewing for 2 more years and she said yes so I said hell no. Then she said "Are you thinking about leaving Verizon?" to which I just said yes and she actually let me go.
That was Saturday afternoon, and they just called again. It's combative time now... - Grrrrrrrr!Have been called by them everyday for a few weeks...I just called back. It was a verizon operator that answered. I told them that to stop calling my number, she verified my name and said she would "mark it down." Hope this works!
- LeighI just got a call from the posted phone no.(October 18, 2007 so this has been going on a long time -- I don't understand why some law enforcement agency or perhaps the phone company can suspend their service for abuse of the phone lines. -- I didn't answer (I have a habit of leaving my phone in my purse and then can't find it in all the stuff I have in there to answer. Very likely is Verizon -- they call trying to get me to upgrade my service a lot.
Also have gotten calls from 954-905-4135 and when I googled it I found that there are a number of complaints similar to the ones y'all have reported in your posts (no one on the line when you pick up and repeated calls up to several times in one day)
Big pain in the butt -- can't imagine what is to be gained from this - blccalls began 10/13 (Sat) 2:18 pm; a call per day received since. latest received today (10/18) 5:30 pm. I do not answer; no msg left on answering machine.
- jerzcalls started about a week ago and i get a few calls a day, but only during the day and they leave no voice mail. i called back once and it went nowhere; i answered for the first time today and it was silence.

Phoned while I was getting my nails done. I figured they would leave a message, but when I checked later that evening - they didn't. Why would someone call but not bother to leave a message? Pretty suspect huh? - JS replies to D.KI got this several time and then called 611 at Verizon Wireless. They transferred me into their FRAUD department. This number is NOT a verizon number and does not connect you to verizon. Verizon was able to trace this number down to a Pacific Telephone number. This is a computerized calling spam service. When I returned the calls a recorded messages said "thank you for your interest in verizon wireless service". That's it - nobody answered.
- Jane1I have been receiving calls from this number with no message. Today I picked up and no one replied. I called the number and was put on hold for at least a minute for a "Verizon Wireless Representative". This is very annoying and not a great way to do business.

- SergeI just got a call from them and I actually got someone on the line. She mentioned my verizon contract (from 2003!) and asked if I was satisfied with my plan. I told her I was no longer with VZW and am currently with AT&T. She said "Oh, I guess my records are a bit out of date, huh?" I asked her to remove me from their list and hung up. Let's see how long this lasts.
