Called at 10:45 PM. Freaked me out because I thought it was an emergency. Robo-calls are blocked, so it only rang once to my line, then disconnected.

8/29/18 - a man w/East Indian accent told me they were reorientating satellites and I would need a new box. Anytime someone with an East Indian Accent calls about business my suspicion trigger goes off. Called Dish and I guess this spoofing rears it's ugly head every so often. I'm glad I hung up on these idiots.

My caller ID didn't show any name, and no one left a message.  Previous calls showed "Dish", but appeared to be  fictitious.  I get about 40 of these phone calls per month, which is a lot for being on the Do Not List!

Just got a call from them.  When my answering machine picked up,  they hung up.  No message.  Happens constantly.

we have dish network and have not had a problem with them personally, lately I have been getting calls from their number and other numbers where I cannot understand a word they are saying as their accent is horrible

Next time you get a call from that number, answer with a gruff voice, saying "FBI."

When you get a call from that number, try answering in a gruff voice, saying "FBI" or "Police Department!"

To Crazy Lady - I think I read about that prank in Readers Digest in about 1962.  I was about 8 at the time, and thought it was Hilarious!  But times have changed.  It is not funny, and callers are neither impressed or scared.  I

Caller id said Dish so I answered since we have a Dish account. Some guy I could hardly understand said that the satellite serving the area had changed its orbit and he needed to check to see if our system was capable of taking the needed updates. Hung up on me when I said we had basic Dish with no internet access, so called Dish directly and they said it was a scam, that they would never make that kind of call but would put an alert on the account or a message on the tv. Said if they call back to not give them any information whatsoever.

"Michael" from the Mumbai office of Dish Network called to ask me about my "satellite dish service."  Don't have "satellite dish service."

I answer it but nobody said any thing  must be a scam
