- Caller: discover
- tuck67Reading all the previous posts it is hard to say if it really is Discover sales call or a scammer using their number---Be on the safe side and don't answer check your bank accounts for any thing not authorized by you

- thomasI got a call today from this #, they left no message. so I called Discover and was told that they have received a lot of calls lately from customers that have received calls from this # and it's not Discover calling.
- Phredde replies to mom at home| 1 replyThis was a busy call center, sounded like in India, scamming for my Credit Card number. I had them on for 8 minutes, reading 2 different made-up sets of numbers. He finally called me a naughty name and hung up. They seem to be getting twitchy - usually I can keep them on for at least 10 minutes.
- LaniScammer using spoofed Discover 800#. They are phishing for personal identity information, name, address, card number etc. If you do not have any account with Discover, BLOCK THEM like I did. No more fake Discover calls for me.

- RoseI don't have a Discover card.
This must be a scam.- Caller: discover cards
- MeNotYouI got a call from this number, but it did NOT show as Discover on my caller ID which is weird because I have it in my contacts as one of their phone numbers. So I let it go ahead and ring through, and then I called Discover, who I have an account with, and found out that it wasn't them. Someone is spoofing their phone number, and I would assume that they're phishing for personal information. If you're account holder, I suggest that you do not take incoming calls, but rather just call them right back at one of their customer service lines.
- Caller: Unknown.
- grannybCredit card scam. Now blocked.
- beezerReceived several calls. Never leaves a message when answering machine picks up.
- UgaDefinite scam. This is NOT Discover even when you call the number back they answer as Discover. I called the actual number on my card and told them about the call and the information the man was asking for and how he was saying he would lower my interest rate. The lady at Discover said they would not ask for the info they were asking me for as the real Discover already has that info.
- Caller: Fake Discover
- Allison JamesRobot offering promising this is my last offer to lower credit card interest rate. Nah, they be calling again tomorrow. S C A M

- Grouchy replies to Manuel| 5 repliesI now try to record most incoming calls that don't caller ID as someone I know. Fumbled the recording on this one and they hung up while I was waiting for the "instructions" to be repeated. Another "Cardmember Services" scam about "my" credit card and all that, but this time THEY SPOOFED DISCOVER CARD'S GENUINE PHONE NUMBER. Note that in the scam call they start asking for your card number. I called Discover, researched the phone number, verified and all that, and Discover was NOT calling me today, there are no problems with the account. So even if the incoming call IDs as a legitimate business that you deal with, the safest is now to call them back. First. Before giving any personal information. BTW, the Discover Rep I talked with was totally professional and patient with this situation.
- edwards90301 replies to Grouchy| 1 reply...exactly. I answered and pressed one then wasted their time. They make you press one first so you don't waste their time the way they just wasted yours. Now they're starting to use legit credit card company numbers as their spoof number to discourage you from placing the number on your block list. Why would they still want the call to go through even if they know you don't want or need to talk to them? Because the service they hired to generate the oubound calls to you and others, gets paid more if calls go through. Another good reason not to dabble in a useless product like consumer debt. When they call me I know it's not legit. http://no-more-calls.com/how-to-waste-a-telemarketers-time/
- AnnoyedScam robocall claiming they'd left several important messages about lowering my credit rate. Didn't identify themselves or use my name. If this is really Discover number, they must have spoofed it.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- BigDaddyThese scammers are still in Business, and still trying to scam. BEWARE!!!!
- Caller: Scammer
- Frank91I didn''t answer. They left me a message that it was my final time to reduce my credit card interest rate. Sigh. They're using the legitimate Discover Card number. Figure it's a scam. Sigh.
- MichaelMarch 15, 2017, 3:46 PM - prerecorded credit card debt call from "800-347-2683, Unavailable" to my cell number that is on the national DNC list.
Same prerecorded call in a woman's voice that I got in the last ~2 days, that started out with "We have made several attempts to reach you. . .", and mentioned urgency. No number, or name of the woman or company was given. I pressed 1 to find out who called.
A man/guy came on the line who had some kind of accent. About 2 questions or exchanges in he started asking for my credit card expiration date. I said it is not expired, but he kept asking. He said I could look it up quickly while he waited. I said I can't get it right now, and that I would call him back, and asked for their number. He said "We have a phone number, but we are not allowed to give you it sir." which is within 2 words of an exact quote. I did not say anything, and after a few seconds, he hung up.- Caller: ???
