- SkepticI am usually very skeptical of telemarketers and charities. I called he charity and they spent time to explain why their efficiency shows to be 1%. They don't send out much cash, but materials. They told me the overall efficiency of the charity in 2009 is 72%, which I tend to believe. I think they should get new telemarketers. The caller ID gave me a number that is no good, which made me believe the charity is a scam, but actually, it's the telemarketer that is a problem. They didn't want to hear put me on your internal DNC list, and hung up.

- kelly replies to KZ| 1 replyOk guys got a great tip from computer guru if you get these calls and no one speaks start hitting the # on your phone till they disconnect. They are automated callers to see if you pick up, so the advetisers spamers ect. know when the best time to call you is. Hitting the # button as fast as you can will through your number out of its system and will not call back. So go a head and pick it up dont say anything if they dont hit that # button. If they do find out who they are be polite get as much info on THEM as you can and either turn them in, OR be sneeky and tell them if they would like to make a donation to your local cherity. now you got them give them your number and say if you call back I would assume you are wanting to make that donation now and say thank you.
- JeffDInteresting.. I've gotten a couple of calls from this number in the last few days... the number is in my CallerID list on my phone hand set, but I can find no trace of it in Call logs on my phone provider web site in my account (a VoIP service)... Hmmmm.....
- Caller: I did not answer
- sThank goodness for Time Warner Cable Digital Phone call block feature. This number just made it on he very long list of blocked callers. Unfortunately, I am limited to 30 numbers that I can block. I am running out of room quickly!

- BobSame thing as everyone else on this thread. Constant calls with no messages as late at almost 9:00 PM. Also as early as 8:00 in the morning. Incredibly irritating.
- donna furiakThe number they left on my answering machine is for a couple who said they are not associated with the Cancer Fund. When I dialed 800-390-4812, the operator said the number was disconnected, how are these creeps getting through? I called the Attorney General's Office -state of Washington and suprise, suprise, they can't do anything without an address-right....and we can't bug them because the phone number is incorrect.
What in the hell are we supposed to do? They have been bugging me for over a year, about the same time I got lung cancer, what a..holes.........................- Caller: Cncer Fund
- Call type: Non-profit organization

- CCmeThe woman asked me who I was, said she was from Cancer Research, Cancer something. I told her it was not a good time. She simply just hung up, I called the number back right away and the recording said the number has been disconnected or is no longer in service. This does not appear to be a credible organization. I hope someone can look into the matter, how can an organization called and then 2 minutes later their phone number no longer is working? Very strange. Thank you.
- Caller: Cancer Research?? It was definitely Cancer something, not sure.
- Call type: Non-profit organization
- Marsha McKeeverAnnoying -- no message, just call, then click and eventually hang up.
- M. Stewart, M.D.Received a call from "Cancer Support Services" soliciting money. I have been a cancer doctor for more than 20 years, and have never heard of this organization. It has to be a scam. Give to a legitimate organization like the American Cancer Society or the Susan G. Komen Foundation or your local cancer center. Or, just take your cash and throw it in the river. But don't feed these parasites!

- CarlaCalls my house at least 4 times a day. When we answer, all you hear is talking in the background and then finally someone says "hello." We promptly hang up.

- pat m replies to HOW MANY TIMES DID YOU POST THIS CRAP| 1 replyYou're a jerk. That is not a charity - it's a scam
- PatsyGot another call from this number 5/26/11 at 9:19 I was on the phone so it went to voice mail which they didn't leave a message. I get a call from this number about 2 or 3 times a month so tired of it... The # thing didn't work they continue to call...
- Roger A replies to PLEASE READ MEGood comments and explanation to the annoying situation. Thanks.
As you stated is ineffedtive, I don't bother with reporting the scum bags because they know all the loopholes in the law. A method scammers understand is more direct to deal with the morons. Simply say, "F..K OFF!" and hang up.
