Dell Financial Services department, calling to follow up on an issue I had discussed with them earlier in the day.  I don't know why they can't arrange for Caller ID to identify them, instead of "Toll Free Caller".

If its the financial dept., then they don't want to warn the call recipient its about a possible debt they want to collect on, but that is also the idea scammers want people to believe when they too call pretending to be collecting on a debt, pretending to be support or phishing for info.
If it doesn't say Dell or anything to identify it is Dell, then don't trust its really them calling, instead you call them and ask. I still wouldn't trust them even if the CID did say Dell.

Hey folks, this board hasn't been touched in years, but I just got my third call. Supposedly this is a legit Dell number, but it's definitely from another country. Just because these guys work for Dell doesn't mean they aren't phishing. Management needs to look into this. This time they said they had been told I wanted to change from cloud to a disk. They needed $64.95 and some information. This is phishing. They just have my phone number because of reasons I won't mention here. But if they are resolving something, they almost always email you. Don't give them any money and don't give them any information. If you're buying, you have a rep from Dell. If you're returning, you get email. Don't give them your info. They already have your phone number. Don't give them anything.

It looks to me as if the last post was just a few days ago, so I don't get where you got "years", unless you read the first post and stopped.  Scammers routinely spoof the actual numbers of real companies to make you think that is who is calling you.  They do it to Apple stores all the time, and to many other companies as well.

Had to block them... 6 continuous calls

picked up last minute and had the hung up tone. Searched it up and said was Dell customer support here but prob  spoofed number since I dont even have a Dell.

I have been calls from this for more than 3 days. Never answered it until today. They connected me to someone who knew my last orderand it had shipped.  He said this was a follow up call to that order.
But I started questioning him about my account # and my address he ended the call.
I called Dell and told them them all of this.  They verified that 8004563355 was Not A Dell phone  number  from anywhere at Dell.  My account was Oknow
They are are going do a fraud investigation. The account will be closed for 30-60 days for this.
Then they will let me know what find them reopen my account.
This is optional. You can report it without a fraud investigation They will check your account and make sure it’s ok. Tell you to change Passwords.  Your option.
No matter what any one writes here, It is
FRAUD.  IT  is not a DELL NUMBER.!!

Received 2 calls - first one hung up - 2nd call:  asked if i had put an alert on my credit - told them yes i did, and they hung up.

Dell customer support called my Google Voice number on 2018/10/11 at 14:39 EDT.  I did not recognize the number and did not answer, but a woman with an Indian accent left a poor quality audio message regarding a custom laptop I ordered whose processor is backordered.

800-456-3355 is Dell Support.  I have ALL Dell products (including support) and love the products. I've been getting repeat calls from this number and it goes into my voice mail. When I check VM they haven't left a message. I don't have any issue with my products so don't understand why they keep calling. I called them back and the people answering the phone/s don't speak very good English. They are police however don't understand what's being asked of them and ask the same question/s. Sooo frustrating. I finally hung up because the phone connection was lousy; the person had no clue of what I was saying and it finally got to be too much. I realize everyone needs a job however they should put proficient people in the language/dialect who can understand/speak to an issue.  As I said I LOVE Dell products; hope this doesn't mean we're going to have to part.

Received a call from this number. It was Dell Support and it was a valid response to a ticket I opened with them.

Got the same message except they said someone in Oregon is getting a Samsung watch delivered to them that is coming out of our account. We just got our computer back 2 days ago after having our hard drive fixed.

They called but I couldn't reply, and they left a 3-minute long voice message of complete silence. I do not know who it is (but I do have a Dell computer whose warranty just expired, so this is consistent with what other users have said here).

Claiming to be from Dell - woman didn't call on primary business number and she had a bad contact name.  I gave her the generic business email address - she sent a point of contact email - I don't feel confident this is actually Dell.

I just accepted call from this number because I was able to look it up on 800notes.com fast enough.

I have JUST placed an order with Dell.com in the last 10 minutes, and they were calling to verify that my personal order being shipped to my company's address was in fact correct (and not a corporate order).

That said, remember there's no guarantee that CallerID number wasn't spoofed, so be careful.

Kaylee from Dell.  She was very nice and polite.  Asked to update our information.  I told her we did not have any Dell products and not in the market to purchase any other computers or electronics.  I will block the number since we don't intend on buying anything from them.

I got a call from them today telling me that I am late on a payment. I have a dell laptop and I got my MS  office 365 through them.  anyway he kept saying over and over that is wasn't paid. I told him it was paid. He started yell you have to pay us. There is somebody in their office trying to scram people. I have proof that it was paid. It even shows on Dell my locker which is where the account ii showing that it was paid.
