It does appear that this phone # is from Dell Customer Care, but I just received a call from it with caller ID saying it was Oklahoma Federal Credit Union calling.  No message left.  Sure seems suspicious, spoofing of phone # or company name or both.

Girl called this morning from 800-456-3355.  She ask for someone that used to work here by his first name only.  I ask her their last name and she told me. I just said "He does not work here".  She said "well can I speak to someone in your IT departmen"t.  I said "We do not have an IT department.  We hire someone outside of this office to handle that".  She said "Could I have their number?" and I simply said "NO"  She waited for a minute and said "Ok"  and just hung up.  Sorry lady but I got your number!!! Oh, and she spoke perfect English.

You do realize that most likely this person spoofed the number to appear legit themselves right and that it wasn't actually Dell calling you?

These clowns have called 12 times in the last 4 days. Dell has my email address. Refuse to answer phony calls.

Some Indian accented chick calls and says I can save 50 bucks on my order if i give some info. As soon as she asked for my social security number I already knew it was a scam. The worst part is she knew all the info I had given on my Dell order. I called Dell and reported the call. Obviously they said never give out personal info.  IO then explained that their system is either hacked or they have employees who are dishonest and have access to all our records. I then called the number back to have some fun with them.. they got frustrated at my questions and hung up on me. I did however report the fraud to Dell and also used their fraud website to make a complaint.
And yeaha its sad that Dell is outsourcing to India.. May the president go after Dell and have them hire Americans who could use the cash and the jobs Dell is giving other countries.

6507632655 is the scam party, but they spoof other legit numbers like Dell 800 456 3355, so people think some legit company is calling, but since I had a software setting I was able to get their original number.. they said they are calling from Anderson Honda for an order I placed for a honda CRV, but as soon as I said wrong number, they said they thought so... not sure what they are gathering or upto... also, they may not be from Anderson honda either, they just use various fake names of legit companies... sometimes they ask for date of birth, social security, credit card info, etc for identity theft...

DELL INC @10:34a September 20, 2019. Ignored call. No call back, no VM left.

I guess many confirm this is legit Dell, however, I don't own a Dell, did not buy a Dell and now they want me to confirm?  I don't think so.

Received an email, then a follow-up email several weeks later (today), that looked like from Dell regarding expiring warranty on "my" Latitude 7285 laptop. 800-456-3355 was listed as the call back number with about an 8-digit extension number.  I don't own, and have never owned, a Dell laptop of any sort.  Bogus.

How do I know this because I looked up the actual dell number and that number wasn’t on the list.These people call to get your information to scam and steal Information to get into your bank account please don’t give them anything.They will scam you.

Thank you so much I know I wasn’t the only one thinking this I always get scam likely calls. Yes please don’t give them any of your information this person is absolutely correct that number isn’t dells number I have caller ID and when that number comes up it doesn’t have anything under it and when I looked it up I found this website. I too also google dells phone numbers and called them and they said that was a scam and to be cautious when answering unknown calls.They said they only send emails and calls unless the person reached out first but in this case it’s a scam.

Its been 9 years since that post, perhaps they did finally "get a life" or even passed away since then, but either way, its doubtful they will ever know you replied.

Got a call out-of-the blue from 8004563355 to my business line (519 area code) today.  I didn't take the call, but from what I heard they claimed to be from Dell and wanted to talk to someone in our IT department.  When asked why, they said they were wondering how we were dealing with the pandemic and if we needed any help / support with our IT stuff.  We said nope.

this was one of several calls from this number saying they are from Dell. I was told they were going to credit my bank for the pc i sent back but they needed the last 4 numbers of my credit card. I told them I would not give them that. Surprising, he was very polite and said "it would take one billing cycle. I told him the credit had already made (a month ago). This has to be a scam.

now I will not deal with Dell because I will never if they are truly Dell. Although the number seems right, I believe a Dell employee is giving out my information to scammers.

I have a recent order from alienware- i got called 3 times in a row no VM. Found this page- contacted them directly asking and they said ignore this number and my order is fine.

This was actually a true dell Call, our business has a commercial credit account with them and they were calling to advise that some conferencing equipment we were interested in was back in stock in their supply chain.
