Got a call at work from this number. Some guy I could barely understand because of his poor English was asking all these questions about my computers. Stuff like, do I back up my hard drives, do I have anti virus software etc. etc. Then he was trying to sell me software to keep my systems clean. He kept talking and talking after I told him I was at work and had to go. Finally had to just hang up on him. Then someone called again later after I had gone home but did not leave a message. Like a lot of the others have stated, I heard a lot of rumbling / shuffling noises in the background for a few seconds.
I will be sending a message to Dell Corp HQ about this, whether they do anything is to be seen but, at least if enough of us send them complaints maybe they will get the message.

This is a legitimate number-it's Dell Computers support number.

I got a phone call from this number 800-456-3355 and was asked about the last four numbers on my  card. I told them I was going to report this call.
I did and found that somebody tried to charge a TV from Dell. I called Chase and they said that somebody did try to buy a tv from Dell and use my card number . This is a warning to everybody
that do not take any calls from this number. If you do call your card company soon as possible and stop the card.

Called the support service in states about shipping the product quickly...he transferred me to some service team in maybe some other country...I dont know which..but dammnn...that guy sucked big time..he asked me my billing address, shipping address..made a lot of mistakes in that...moreover at the end of the conversation he told me .."Sir, for a fast delivery we would suggest u to get an i3 instead of i7, rest of the configuration will be the same..."...what da fk????i3:???why should I???atleast think of some logical solution man!!!

After placing a order with Dell, and the credit card being approved on the phone, received a call from this number to verify the billing address. After thinking better of it, called back the number.

Appears to be a Dell did not like the fact that the billing address did not match the card.

Funny how the ignorant and unwashed crowd gets up in arms when someone suggests that basic literacy is a requirement for participation in written communication.

I notice a few calls posted here which sound suspicious.  If I were a scammer, I might spoof the caller id to be that of a legitimate company in order to get people to fall for my scam.  So it is possible that most of these calls are from Dell, but that some of them are scam calls from someone using Dell's CID to hide who they really are.

When I answered this call, they just hung up.  I have never done business with Dell; so it I don't know why they would being calling here.  I suspect that the number is now spoofed by yet another call center.

Received call from this number about 1.5 hours after placing an order on the dell website.  The person claimed she was from Dell and needed to confirm some personal details to verify shipping.  I refused to provide the information and asked for a number I could call to provide the information.  She gave me 866-383-0713 x4161320 as the number where she could be reached.  I then called Dell Support at a number from their website, and was told that no one from Dell had contacted me and that the number I was given was not a Dell phone number.  I'm just curious how she knew I had just made an order, if she did not work for Dell...

Over the last month we've gotten many calls from the number in question (6-8). As several have noted, I can hear sounds - fumbling, distant voices, etc. - but no message. Twice, however, someone asked for a specific person (not at this address, nor anyone I know) and I explained that. They said it was Dell and were looking to inform this person that their computer was repaired and they were shipping it. They called back 5 minutes later and said the same thing - as did I. Still getting calls...

I received several calls from this number at my work.  There was someone on the other end speaking gibberish and I could not understand them.  They kept pressing the buttons on the phone like a two year old.

I was disturbed from a deep sleep, confused after seeing a call from this unrecognized number on my cell phone at 3:38 and 3:39 AM.   They left no message.  I googled the number this morning and found out it is a Dell customer service number?  I find this very strange because no Dell should be associated with my cell phone number...the only Dell I have is for work.  Super annoyed!

This is Dell, but my god are they annoying!

They actually double charged my credit card, and when I explained to them that it's illegal to charge someone's credit card for something they didn't order they proceeded to not only yell at me, but yell at my mother.

They also asked me if I knew the difference between numbers and that maybe I didn't remember ordering two laptops on the same day. When I explained to them that my credit card company explained to me that both transactions happened at the exact same time (hour:minute) and how it's impossible to do that since it takes minutes for the transaction to be processed, the man on the phone (Rhodit) accused me of opening two internet windows and ordering two at the same time to scam them.

When I tried to explain to him that two internet windows would STILL be the same transaction, he yelled at me telling me I didn't understand English and that I need to shut up and listen.

I got a call from this number. It's one of the rollover numbers for Dell Corporate. I missed the first call from 800 239 3355, then answered when this number (with 456) called back. It was from our Dell account rep, so I would say this is a legitimate number.

This is NOT Dell Customer Service. The last computer I've bought from them was 4 years ago for the business. I've just received 3 calls today on a newly activated personal line. It's just a scam to get you personal information and credit card numbers. As a lot of people has bought Dell computers, it seems more legitimate...

I'm with John on this matter! Dell sucks!! And why the hell are they calling me at 10:00p.m.

thanks, Artwerks.  I got a call today, but when there is NO name given with the number, I do not answer.  I think that perhaps to answer allows your number to be sent all over the world to any scammer with a robot dial system.  LOL  Nasty!!!!

This is a scam!!! They try to fool you to get your information by using a horrible accent and non-related questions.
