I received a call from this number last night and was suspicious...but they were calling to verify the purchase of a computer on MY credit card.  One that I did NOT purchase!  So I was very grateful to avoid a charge of $1,300.00!  Of course, I had to close my credit card account and get a new one.  It's very scarey what people can do these days!

You got scammed.

If you call the tech support number and not the customer care number you could have them simply image your hard drive.  

Slap the laptop around (or put on a vibration test table) and shake until you have unseated a connector or SIMM.

This is Dell Support, a legitimate phone number.  If you have a Dell and have a service issue, this is the # that shows up on your caller ID.  Sorry that some folks think they are being hassled.  I am actually being HELPED by their Customer Service dept and yes, they are offshore somewhere in India which is 9.5 hours ahead of my timezone.  But no one calls at an indecent hour.  NO COMPLAINTS.

I recieved a call from this number 800-456-3355 and claimed that my mortgage company has not recieved my mortgage payment for the current month. The caller insisted that I make the payment immediately using my credit or debit card to avoid penalty and avoid sending it to the credit beraue. I was so confident that my mortgage was paid on time so I refused giving any information on the phone because I wasn't sure who the caller was except the 800 number. When I checked my mortgage account on line, I found that everything was up to date and I realized that this call was a scam and the caller is a scammer who fools people trying to get their credit card or debit information to steal money. BE AWARE

It's Dell.  In our case, a refund for systems we overpaid for.

They called three times in a row (within 3 minutes) and I didn't pick up. I picked up on the fourth call to yell at whomever it was, and it turned out to be Dell, verifying that I placed an order through their website (I had). The man told me I would be getting an email from them, and to please respond to the email to verify that the order was valid. So the call turned out to be valid, and I appreciated their diligence in verifying that the order was legit! Thank you Dell.

Called to confirm an order. Asked for all of my credit card info and app #. This has got to be a scam. I was told i made the order yesterday WRONG. My order was approved and accepted. Why the need for more approval. Not quiet.The web says we prefer to comm with e-mail or chat. I was told my order was on hold until i provided the info and i even got a fishy looking e-mail!!!!. Then i called order support and the order was not on hold? I checked and the order had not shipped but had been charged to my bank acct????. This is not what dell promises in service!!  Orders are not charged til shipped?
Then after over one hour on my cell minutes and three hangups I finally canceled this order, THANK GOD!
Now i have to cancel at my bank and change my card number how nice . The best policy is not to deal with DELL HELL. I just happen to be a state employee and will be making a complaint with the states attorney general office to try and stop the state form doing business with dell.

Got a call from 1-800-456-3355 but the name came up a UNAVAILABLE.  After Googling the number and finding out it was Dell I called them back.  3 times the guy asked me why I'm calling and each time I told him I was returning a call from them.  I told him I always tell UNAVAILABLE numbers that they have the wrong number and they should change it so people know it's Dell calling.  He eventually told me that they called to let me know my technician was postponed till March 8th.  I told him that that is when he's scheduled to come so it's not postponed and I still didn't understand why they were calling.  Then he said it was a follow up call.  The whole process was annoying.

I ordered 6 Optiplex business computers and one Server for a client's business. After chatting with the sales rep for over an hour, we put the call through for over $6000. A few hours later, Dell called from this # and began firing a million questions at me.,, Why did I buy 6 laptops? I told him they werent laptops. Why did I buy so many? Was I gifting them? Why are they being delivered to my house if they are for a business? What bank issued my credit card? Who is my employer? At that point, I asked why he needs to know any of these answers? Why does it matter why I bought them and who they are for if they are not leaving the country? I told him I did not feel comfortable with this and wanted his direct number so I could verify that this was a legit call. I am not calling him back until I speak to my Dell sales rep. This entire call sounded so fraudulent that I am surprised that this was a real Dell rep.

I just keep getting call from Dell with this number on my cell phone which it cost me money. annoying.

I got at least 10 calls from this number in less than 10 minutes, and no voice massages. Ridiculous!

Received a call 800-456-3355 Caller ID was "Unavailable". Do not have reason for Dell to call. Gone before 3rd ring. I think I might wait for 3rd ring on everything from now on.

Well if it is Dell Support, why do they hang up after I answer  Every day I get at least one call from them. Stupid way to run a big business........
