Got 3 calls back to back from this number.  I don't generally answer 1-800 numbers as they are usually telemarketers.  I picked up on the third and the caller asking for Jim White.  I told him he had a wrong number but he asked if he had reached __mybusiness__.  "Yes, but there is no Jim White"  He said his name was "Naveen from Dell Customer Support".  I told him that my business does not use any Dell system.  He said that someone from my company had just placed an order with them.

I am a one-man small business.  Nice try.

Another call - this time asking about a "Henry _something_".  Warned them that it looks like someone is trying to prank them using my company name and have forwarded information to their Fraud Department for them to investigate.

Received a call at 6:30 am PST. Did not answer; no message left.

I got a call from this number - about a lap top I ordered. So I returned the call because they cancelled my order. And gave me a number to call. Which I did, and they gave me another number to call. Which I did, and they gave me yet another number to call. Their English was the PITS (India) - I couldn't understand what they were telling me. I was so frustrated, I wish I had never bought a Dell. Outsourcing to a bunch of idiots who can't speak English worth crap - I agree with the guy that said "Dell outsources, and OUR unemployment is almost 10%!" NO KIDDING! I hope they did cancel my order. I will get my money back and go by a computer somewhere else. I can't do this.

NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY FROM DELL UNTIL THEY BRING CUSTOMER SERVICE BACK TO ENGLISH SPEAKING FOLKS!

Got a call last night at 6:16  and saw message waiting  When I retrieved message there was just someone that hung up.  Today another call at 12:24 wanting me to confirm Dell purchase.  NEVER ordered anything from them.  What can we do about these scammers?  Is there anyone we can report them to.  WE NEED HELP from these despictable ass----s.

Called & left message @ office, said he was from Dell Support Tech think he said his name was Val. Left a # to call back 512-513-1368. Have no intentions to call back, all the computer stuff in this office comes from the home office in another state. Waste of my time...

This is the number for Dell system support. I have received a solicitation call or two but most have been follow-up calls about their service or to advise me of shipments. Their annual Solution Station program of software support is worth the price to me. The support team is patient, helpful and most of all, they fix the problem. I am pleased with their product and support.

I am a real Dell customer (live in Atlanta) not some message board plant. I am not system ignorant nor a geek. Just an average user.

I received a call today at 0318 p.m. about a Dell computer.
I told them I was not interested and not to call my phone number again.
At 0320 p.m., the same person called from number 1-800-289-3355 and
was insistent that I listen to their spiel.  I interrupted her but she kept
talking so I called her an idiot and hung up.  She could hardly speak
English.

They called here at 11:04AM, I put the call on speaker and the guy asked for Chris Hollsowrth, there is no Chris Hollsworth here, and when the guy didn't get an answer he hung up.

Dell - called asking for Joe - wrong # - although I just placed an order with Dell.  I'm a little worried if this is a scam call.

It was from dell. Helping me about the recent support issue with my laptop. Nothing more.

I rec'd a call after the alienware computer I rec'd arrived and would not boot up. after spending eons on the phone with tech support finally I managed to find someone who would do an exchange on the machine. Immediately after I hung up I rec'd a call from the above # trying to sell me a maintenance software program for $99 and proceeded to ask me for my Social Insurance Number. I of course refused. I am already a customer why would anyone need that info to check on my account seeing as how the person already had my account info before them.
Last time I ever buy anything from Dell or any company that does not provide it's customer support in North America. The constant run around trying to communicate with people whom I don't understand is not only annoying,but, a waste of my time and disrespectful to me as a customer. The scam is just icing on the cake as it appears it is an ongoing thing from the posts above and Dell executives are too busy spending their huge bonuses to give a crap.

Received a call from this number today.  The gentleman said he was from Dell and was most likely from India, his accent was very heavy but not so bad that I could not understand him.  He wanted me to allow him to have access to my laptop so he could check to make sure a Windows operating system patch had been downloaded correctly.  The laptop in question is not functioning so he wanted me to give him access to one of my other computers.  I asked him for the patch number and told him I could check my control panel to see if it had downloaded myself and also let him know that I use Windows update.  He was very insistent that I allow him access to my computer.  I was skeptical and hung up the phone.

They've been calling me now daily for a couple weeks. They never speak when I answer so I have started to yell obscene words to them to see if they hang up. They do hang-up when I make mention of oral sex..

I got 2 crank calls from this number at 1 AM. The person on the other end laughed, but refused to speak. They called both my cell and home numbers.  I know it was actually Dell, because I called support 2 days ago and gave them both of those numbers in case the call got disconnected.  Almost no one else has that cell number, and no one knows that I recently called Dell.  I suspect the called because I refused to extend my warantee during the service call.  They have called back 5 times since trying to get me to upgrade.

I received a call at work from this number.  The caller said my XPS 8300 may have been compromised and he needed to take control of my system.  I told him this was my home computer and I was at work.  He said he would call me at home later.  They even had information on the credit card used and the previous purchase six years ago.  Sounded legit to me.

I started a chat session with Dell Tech Support and they said it was a scam and not to allow access to my system.

Unless I am 100% sure, no one gets into my system.

We switched to Compaq because of these annoying calls!

Called me, sounded Indian. I hung up.
