from what i have been able to gather, dri*net.com is a billing company. i googled the name and found a phone number. they were able to tell me who the charge came from. i then googled that company name, too and found they are fraud, too. so far they haven't offically charged anything, but i have 2 or 3 pending charges on my card for the last couple of months.

Call this number (800-497-4988) and they will refund the money you lost. I just spoke with one of the customer service reps and she was very polite to me (this must happen a lot, since she really didn't ask too many questions about how it may have happened).

Once your money has been refunded then I strongly suggest you get your account/card number changed and be more careful about who you buy from (lesson learned on my part, at least).

Hi...I was scammed (It looks as though they stay just this side of legal!)..too..I thought that 2.95 was Ok to get some information about placing Google ads..but information was ALL I wanted...then I had 69.90 taken out of my checking account...if I try calling the 800 # do you think it would be worth it to try and get it cancelled or will I be getting into it deeper?  Thanks for any input...

I too have been scammed-- for 1.95 and then 69.90 thinking I would only be charged the 1.95 to receive info on Google Home Based Business. I have come to find out they aren't even associated with Google-- but the trying to located someone to talk at Google is like trying to reach the President.
I plan to have my bank stop the charges on this company on my bank card.

Hello. It happened to me too. I just called them and they told me that the $2.95 were for a 7 day trial of something I decided to buy and never used. They also told me that after those 7 days I would start been charged with $69.90 every month for the membership. I cancelled my subscription immediately. I hope I learned the lesson to read everything. If I had cancelled the subscription within those 7 days no charge would had been applied.

Same as everybody here, BUT the fraud department at my bank actually caught this -- on the same day it happened!! So I just had to fill out an affadavit stating that the charges (there were several from different companies) were not mine, and they'll credit my account. And of course I've had to cancel that card. But I was so impressed with how the bank caught this.

I didn't receive a call, it came through email saying they had credited my cc of 69.90..because I had requested it and gave no explaination of what I had bought. The phone number on the email was 800-497-4988...this was pacific webworks..they said it was for a google toolkit..I ask if this was cc scam.. I called my cc company right away and no such credit was issued..maybe I shouldn't have call now they have my phone number

hi, i've been scammed by this too. i can't believe i fell for it!

i have tried to call the number to cancel my subscription but it keeps saying the number i barred / not recognised. is this because i am in the uk?

i have called my bank to ask them to block these charges or cancel my card but they can't do anything until i have contacted this dodgy company! i'm going to have to write to them, which is going to take longer than the 7 day cancellation period. i am kicking myself for being such a mug!

I fell for this scam about 4 days ago.  I was immediately upset after reading the fine print on the disclaimer outlining the conditions after they got my credit card numbers--the barf bags! One day later, I called the exact same customer service number you have and was fortunate enough(after 15 minutes) to get a representative on the line which provided me with a cancelation number along with his first name (given only the first letter for his last name).  I am still nervous, though, because they have my credit card information and the cancelation number given  me may not even be legitimate enough to make a difference.

After entering my DC info online to receive the homebased Google business kit that sold for $1.95, this company charged my DC an additional $69.90 causing an OD in my checking account.  My banker advised cancelling the card because there is really no way to track these people down or stop them.  Each time you try, they will change the name of the company withdrawing/charging your account or the amount of the transaction.  I sure wish I had done more research before thinking I could do this.

The Advertising about "WORK FROM HOME" OR "Package from Google something" are lied and cannot trust . They start from charging $1.95 or less at first, then after one week or monthly, it will charge you large amount by you never know if not observed.

I checked my account on May 5th 2009 DRI Auction had also debted my account for $69.00, I had never heard of the company, until I checked with the my Bank to find out who made the unauthorized payment this went on two months in a row the second time my Bank must of recognized who they were and did'nt let DRI Auction take it out the first time the second time they got by I am glad I found out early about those scams, I Also, got an email from Google about a free work at home business kit and you only had to pay the postage of $1.95 so I order the kit and a few weeks let when my deposit hit the Bank they thought they was going to have a good time, Now!I had to get a new card and account number, because two more companies were taking unauthorized fees also, a company called ID THEFT and GENERAL SOLUTION which I never heard of they were having a ball with my account.

Don't sign up anything online.  I gave out my credit card number for "working from home for google" and got scam.  I paid 1.95 at first then this month 69.90 showed up on my credit card statement. I called my credit card company and close that account, but still working with them to get rid off that charge.
If you want to earn money from google just go check out Google.com. Google itself tell you how and don't scam you.  I am so regret.
