if you joined this google system and didnt know you only have a seven day trial then its time to read the "fine print" before handing out any credit card number and this is no fraud whatsoever....

This number appears on my credit card for a charge of $69.90, fraudulently made after I purchased an eBook on a company website (www.profitstudiolearning.com) for $1.95.  This company is named repeatedly in Internet complaint boards for tricking people into gettting their credit card number for a minor purchase under the guise of learning about home based businesses, or Google Adwords, then charging them the fees based on alleged fine print.  The website is registered to Pacific WebWorks, Inc. in Salt Lake City, Utah.

I too was scammed.  I wanted to simply have the kit sent to me so that I could review it, and then saw the small print afterwards that stated that I would be charged $69.99 after the 1st week.  I called the 1-800-497-4988 number and they cancelled my subscription.  I will be checking my credit card to make sure they did indeed cancel it.  I can not believe google is letting them get away with this.

The most efficient and effective way to throw a monkey wrench into this scam machine.
    (article from http://scam-googletreasurechest.blogspot.com/)

Steps to Take to Recover Your Money

    1. Cancel your credit or debit card--Get a new card with new number! Your financial information has been compromised and you will be getting further debits to that card, If not now then they could come back later when you are unaware. This scam is refining into a form of "Identity theft" as your financial information is being traded to other cohorts without your permission or knowledge.

    2. File a fraud charge with your credit card or bank and let them sort it out. They have more muscle to go after this sort of crime. Explain to them about all the consumer complaints that are on the internet and "insist" that they do charge-back or file a fraud charge. Your bank or credit card organization has all the tools necessary to find out where the charges are coming from, what business is involved, addresses and phone numbers connected to the charge and etc. You may not know or have access to this information. The banks and credit card org have all this at their fingertips and are obligated to handle the problem that has resulted.
    More info at: http://www.chrismalta.com/scamtip1.asp

    3. File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. Their job is to monitor and go after these types of scams.
    http://www.ftc.gov/ftc/cmplanding.shtm

    4. File a complaint with your state Attorney General and also with the Attorney General of Utah (where a lot of the phone numbers and addresses seem to be located)

    5. Filing a complaint with the BBB is toothless as the scam already is rated with a "F".

    6. File complaint at http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx This is a place to report internet crime and is a combination gov agency of FBI, White collar Crime and Bureau of Justice Assistance.

    7. After you filed with all the above agencies feel free to call any numbers you may possess that are connected to the "unauthorized charges" to try and recover all your money but take their word with a grain of salt. Don't hesitate to let them know what you have done or intend to do as they need to be shown that you mean business! If you succeed in getting your money returned you will have still taken steps to put their scam out of commission.

I received a call from this number today and I did not answer.  After googling and finding this page, I called them back.  About a week ago, I had visited a website for Google Kit.  I typed in my information (including CC#) and read the terms.  Upon reading the $70 fee after the week trial, I closed my web browser without proceeding.  So I was a bit concerned to see any contact from them.

I called the number (option 3) and the representative said I should not be receiving any calls because it's an inbound only call center.  I described the website to him and he said this was indeed a call center for that program. I had him check my phone number and name and he assured me there was no account open in my name.

I'll be monitoring my statements to make sure, but I'm assuming it was a courtesy call to find out why I had not signed up after typing in my phone number to determine if I was "eligible" for the promotion.

I had signed up for a deal called AmazingWebStores.com with a 21 free trial period & a cost of $2.95. I then received an email from
ProductResourceClun.com saying I'd been signed up for another "free trial" for their product. I called and cancelled both of these and have confirmation #s for the cancellations. I didn't receive a call from the 800-497-4988 # but found it on my bank account statement along with a charge for $69.90.Upon calling this # I was told i had purchased a Google Home Business Kit and it had a 7 day free trial and that I had called and cancelled but too late/beyond the 7 day trial. I hadn't heard of this Google Kit let alone signed up for it. Of course they will not refund the charge. I've cancelled the card & filled out the "Dispute" paper work with my bank and am now reporting these people to everyone I can find.
Another company, ClickSellGo.com also charges my account $39.95 just this morning but when I called them they cancelled the charge without question.
I was never called by anyone from this company but the name I got when I called was "Corporate Office".
