Just received a call from Paul Gerber from an investigation firm starting an investigation tomorrow on my company? Read the earlier posts and match up that the client is Altus Global Collection. It seems Altus is a real debt collector but I have no clue why they called me. Should I even call ?

Our receptionist took a call today from Paul Gerber - same story as the others.  Directed us to contact Alison Roberts at Altus Global Trade Solutions.

They called me claiming to be investigators, but would not say what they wanted.

I got a call from Paul Gerber claiming he was a licensed private investigator and was conducting an asset and liability investigation on behalf of Keith West and Altus Global Trade Solutions,  the return phone call he left was for Mr West at 800 509 6060

we also received a voicemail from this guy Paul Gerber saying the same thing - he got hired by a company to conduct an investigation and will be in our office tomorrow ..blah blah blah.. and asked us to call his client directly with a case number ..

More will come soon. I'll check the NC permit. By the time I do that I'll bet that a couple of my dear friends will have run down the rest of it. I dearly love my friends here. Sometimes they even scare me....

They keep saying we owe someone money and will send private investigators to our business but they never do. I think its a scam.

They are disturbing me / us claiming pending ~  $149 pending bill of Rackspace. We have no access to the account, nor we received any official invoice. Deceptive email. Only one kind of legal letter attached. Very poor quality of copywriting.

Lawyer will have Practicing License number. Plus such company should have registration. I am using my real name. Complete Scam....our company has been getting NON-STOP scam calls from this company trying to get information about our printer so they can send us toner because our "toner is low" (as if we can't see ourselves when it's low). They've been calling for weeks, I even had a guy call pretending to be from FedEx and say our packing slip was messed up and they couldn't see our address. About an hour later I had this "toner company" calling to confirm the address they had on file was correct to send our toner!!! Well today I had a message from this "Paul Gerber" person saying all the same stuff "private investigator, asset & liability investigation, investigation will start tomorrow; uhhh tomorrow is a SATURDAY!! highly doubt that, they were hired by Altus" BLAH BLAH BLAH! Anyways, I looked at my caller ID and the call was made from the SAME number of this "toner company" that has been calling for weeks!!! The number is locally so it may vary for everyone else (they call from 615-872-0046) but Paul does leave that same 800 # in the message saying to contact Allison if we have any questions. This is ridiculous and OUT OF HAND!!! Next time I get a call from Mr. Gerber or any of these toner people, I'll be dishing out my own harassment's if that's how they're playing. SMH

Your option is to sue them, 99% of the time you will win, as they are liars, they have incomplete information.
Sue them for Defamations, Fraud, and if you are right they will settle and or loose in court,  People stop been afraid of this scoundrels, they are idiots.

It is amazing to me as they all use the same 800 number and all of you let this idiot tell you what to do, have you ever heard of the FCC no call rule? Report them for harassment and go to your local police station and file a harassment order. then use that to go to court and shut them down.
IF you do not need a Police report file a complain with the no call list and your local District attorney. if you can get an attorney to file under contingency, for fraud, Intent of commit fraud, Harassment, emotional distress do so.

If they have a judgment get a copy and file Bankruptcy, remember you need to add all names of people you owe money to make it worth wile. As they are trying go collect, then be aware that majority purchased this debt at  discounted price, , lets say $ 0.20 per dollar, and majority do not have the full documentation nor anything that really proves you owe anybody money. Be smart, play their game, take the phone and all of you dial the same number till their system crash.

Despite knowing the fact as discussed on various URLs on the web that Altus Global Trade Solutions is possibly a scam or Possibly does actions which are against the bare acts, I continued the conversation with Altus Global Trade Solutions' so called representative named Jennifer Millet.
I collected all the evidence as much I can. Jennifer Millet, claimed Rackspace as "client". But it might be more closer in nature. Criminals follow the same way. Ultimately they e-mail-ed me :

" Please call me at 800-509-6060/504-469-9545 EXT 1184 to get this paid.  We will, together, contact Rackspace and make your payment by credit card.  Thanks. "

My conclusion and suggestions becoming like this :

1. Altus Global Trade Solutions is kind of Ponzi Company. None should take the risk of busting one self. No question of payment even the claim was legit.
2. 800-509-6060 and 504-469-9545 are known scammy numbers.
3. Other users SHOULD report the associated company's name which Altus Global Trade Solutions' those scammers will claim, try to collect solid proof via email. It is unlikely that they'll ever send any stuff via postal mail. Email and Text Message are good stuffs.
4. Real companies can use Altus Global Trade Solutions. You have to collect the proof. Unless you are related to Judicial system, take help of a Lawyer to get more words out.
5. You'll agree to pay - definitely, it is a false promise. Your Lawyer will guide you.
6. If you are not interested in busting the rigs, simply block the numbers.
7. Never physically try to meet them without informing the whole administrative system.

To the webmasters and owners of 800notes.com - Please continue your great work of supporting the innocent humans. It will take huge time, but now we can bust them fully legally. Your database of allegation from the peoples became very useful for me.

This is a legitimate company with an A+ BBB Rating. They are hired by their commercial clients to recover delinquent accounts receivable. They are licensed, bonded, and have been in business for over 60 years serving several of the country's top Fortune 500 companies. They have strict commercial collection guidelines they follow.

These comments about fraudulent practices are unfounded and laughable. In today's society it's imperative to be on your guard, of course, but by simply googling "Altus Global Trade Solutions" you are directed to their website which gives all of their credentials and certifications https://trustaltus.com/company-profile/certifications/

It seems most of these comments are from people on the receiving end of debt collection calls-- why not just fess up and pay your bills instead of blaming the company your creditor hired because they were sick of dealing with you?
