- KatOops. Didn't recognize the number and didn't answer, yet this is probably the one call I should have. I ordered a second DVR a couple of nights ago and this was likely the call to set up delivery and installation of that device. Sheesh...my bad...
- Caller: DirecTV
- Call type: Event reminder
- Kat replies to Bea WallNext time, you need to request that they remove you from their list - then, if you have not yet done so, go to donotcall.gov and add your number to the federal Do Not Call list. Any calls from a company with which you do not have an established relationship cannot call you if you are on that list.
- Kat replies to wolffmanIf you have evidence of payment, they are S.O.L. And yes, they DO call people for payment, I know this for a FACT.
- SteveDirectv. They've called twice this morning. I called back the first time and confirmed my install, then they called again. How many times do I have to confirm the same appt? It's tomorrow, fer cryin out loud, I think I can remember it that long.

- DerekDirecTV calling me to offer assistance with any problems caused by hurricane Irene. Offering to schedule an appointment for realigning my dish or to temporarily suspend my account if I have no power or if my dish has been damaged.
I have no problems getting these kinds of calls.- Caller: Comcast

- CarrieThis was a pre-recorded marketing call. Taking advantage of the Hurricane Irene weather event.

- Bill HI didn't take it as a marketing call at all. The recording just said that if the dish was moved by Hurricane Irene or if the power was cut, just call them and they would dispatch a technician to adjust the dish or reduce the bill for lack of service. No sales pitch at all. Pretty darned nice of them, actually.
- Caller: DirecTV
- LaurenDirect TV recorded message calling to let customers who had been affected by hurricane Irene know that if you let them know they will suspend your service until you get back in your home or get power back so that you won't be charged for your TV service if you can't use it.
- victoriaThey just called my home and I let it go to the answering machine. No message left? I have directv and when they do call all they ask for is phone # and a physical home address. All other info is from someone trying to repesent them and its not them. Plus it could be now that the made in america has messed up over seas calling. I've had directv for 6 yrs and no problems. Plus they want you to use the internet(directv) for other items pertaining to directv. Only once I have called and got a american speaking person for NM. and I live in n.y. otherwise from India or mid eastern speaking and they will tell you where there calling from.

- JamieCall from directTV about helping their customers because of the hurricane. Problem is I am not nor will I ever be a customer of directTV. Sounds more like they are using the hurricane as an excuse to drum up business. "Hi we are calling to see if your directTV service has been impacted by the hurricane. Oh, you don't have directTV well let me tell some of the packages we offer and setup an install time."

It's Direct TV.. apparently being told repeatedly that no, we are not going to return to their over-priced, crappy service just isn't an answer they like. Kind of like their attempt to make me pay for "breaking the contract" when I have the original paperwork and it says clearly "12 Month Service Contract". Not 24 like they wanted to make me believe.
So now, since they can't screw me out of more money for leaving their service, I guess they figure calling me every day will wear me down.- Caller: Direct TV

- DirecTV customerI just got a call today thanking me for choosing DirecTV.

- Tammy| 1 replyIf you sign up for Directv then you agree to take their sales calls. Unfortunately, several of their rebates require you to agree to future phone calls from them as well. It's simple - if you don't want them to call you, don't redeem your rebates or even sign up with them.
- Caller: For closed caption
- mom| 1 replyAn automated call came in saying it was to help collect a debt and to call it back. I did and it was DirectTV. I have never had their service and never will. The rep said there was no record of my phone number. I did refuse to give my name, but did give my number, figuring they already had it. I told her if they call again I will be filing a complaint with BBB and whomever else I can think of. I do not owe anyone money and this freaked me out.
