I’ve had DTV since 1996 pretty much inception. Funny thing is i go through loyalty when ever i get any deals and believe me the loyalty program sucks. New customers pay less than me. I’m about to switch to dish. I digress. This number called 5 times in 2 days. When i realized DTV i thought hmm did i not pay my bill? So i call. A man with a thick Indian accent starts telling me i can have my same service for 69$ with all my movie channels etc. sounded too good to be true. Then he says i just need to pay him 6 months in advance NOW. SCAM SCAM SCAM. THIS FEELS LIKE A SPOOF CALL AND NOT A REAL DTV call. Do NOT give them money!!!!

This number called & did not leave message.  CID:  800 service

Just spoke to Direct tv. This IS their number but it’s been spoofed by someone overseas (India is what the believe) and what they try to do is call state they want to cancel YOUR contract and then open a new contract (new everything) which new accounts get discounts to come to DTV. Then they ask you to pay 6 months in advance (India) which you never see again and end up with no tv service. Why they haven’t sent out emails warning people i have not idea but i did ask them to do that. Be careful. Some calls are legit but some are SPOOFED. ALWAYS ASK FOR ATT ID number and a number to call them back. They will generally hang up on you.

They are calling with a promotion from AT& T or Direct TV.  They schedule an appointment and ask for a lot of personal information. I started feeling this has to be a scam.  Checked the number on google and it came up fraud alert. The next day called from a different number and told me he was calling from Direct TV and I was signing up for the account and then I called back and told them they were scammers; which is correct. I told him I wasn't interested the second day he called me twice.

I wonder how many of the people they're calling with this nonsense will actually report it?  Chiming in with my experience from today - they called about five minutes ago, phone rang three times, no message left.

They have called twice this month. They hung up after three rings.

I got a call and I don't even have ATT anymore. I have Spectrum.  I didn't even bother to answer the phone.

Left dead air message.  These guys don't work for Direct TV, ATT or anyone else legitimate.

5.17.18 @ 12:46 PM-- "800 Service" (800-531-5000)-- SCAMMER claiming to be calling from Direct TV (we don't even have their service!).  Suspicious that "Direct TV" doesnt appear on the CID, which is the first clue that this is NOT a legitimate call!  NEVER answer these calls!

Heavy foreign accent, Steve from Direct TV. I told him I don't have Direct TV and I don't want Direct TV. Told him not to call my number again. We will see.

Caller hung up after second ring.  Did not leave a message.  First call from this number which is surprising since they have been harassing everyone else for 11 years (46 pages of comments).

I am not a customer.  Today is Saturday.  They are either soliciting or incompetent. Called back told may have been a sales rep.WTH

I'm pretty sure that this number was spoofed, as I received a call on my cell this afternoon. I never use my cell for any contractual arrangements AND I have never used Direct TV.

Calls numerous times, Very annoying since they don't even leave a message.

They just got me. I don't have Direct TV nor do I have ATT (not in the last few years, at least.) Didn't answer & they didn't leave a message.
If this number is indeed being spoofed, I just don't understand why the phone companies -  whose lines & services are being misused to commit massive fraud -  aren't able to defeat this.

I just received a call from this number.....no message,just a lot of static!!

Recognizing this number 8005315000 as being DirecTV, I wasn't in the mood to listen to any pitches. Therefore, I sent the call to voice mail. The person on the other end was saying something in complete gibberish with a very heavy accent and definitely not English. Checking other sites, this appears to have been a bogus call with a scam deal.

I answered, heard breathing but no response. I hung up.
