Caller did not leave a message.  Based on above comments the number will be blocked.

When I tried 2 get an email address 2 ask that they cease calling, I was unsuccessful.  They must purposely avoid email or online chat - & for good reason!!!  If u call them they put u on hold until u give up & end the call.  HORRIBLE people!

I have been getting calls from this number and I don't answer, I do NOT have direct TV I have Dish and I got a call that came up on caller ID as Dish I answered and it was a scam trying to get my pin number and 150 so I hung up called Dish and had my pin changed and was told that they would not call me, put my account on lockdown. This is a scam

Calls but no one is on the line. Robo calls.

ID claims DirectTV -BUT NEVER HAD IT AND NEVER WILL! Therefore an illegal spam call.

800-531-5000 Calls and calls all the time, utter pests!!!Takes me forever to get to the phone in my wheel chair.  I am not interested in their offers!  Just want to be left in peace.  Is there anyway to stop them from calling!!!

Got a call from a heavily accented man (as above) stating that they were calling from DirectTv, and asking how I was. Since we're not customers, nor are we likely to be, I told him that we're on the Do Not Call List, his call was in violation of the law, and we aren't interested anyway. Now, let's see if they take the hint.

Beware. This is a SCAM! I received a call from this #. Since this is a genuine Direct TV #, I attended. They offered a very lucrative deal. The accent was thick accent as if someone from the Indian subcontinent. They asked to buy an amazon gift card  worthy $320.00 and give it to 1-888-588-4211 and I wont be charge for 8 months and after that I would be charged $39.00 for 300 channels. I dialed same # i.e 800-531-5000. They confirmed that it was a scam.

Got a call at 5:00 AM and woke me up, did not answer, do not have there service and I am 86 years old

Called to ask if I was happy with our direct tv service. We don’t have it and never will because of how persistent they are to get us to sign up. I hung up on hem.

How can I get a new channel guide

This number called my cell. Didn’t recognize the number. Declined call and blocked number. I’ll stick with my cable provider, thank you.

I think the issues others have here are continued calls after DTV has been told they don't want the service and asked them to take their number off the list. DTV has called me three times in the last week after being asked to desist. That seems to be the problem.

Keep calling unknown

Caller ID 800-531-5000 hung up on my ans. machine & again left no message. To all those who've reference DTV; we've never had it--watch only antenna TV for FREE--receiving signals on a flat screen--scanning in over 30 FREE channels with lots of good programming, including oldie favorites. Get ch #s 2 thru 49,  w / multiple sub-channels for ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, & FOX. Examples: Comet (Sci-Fi), Decades TV, Me TV, QVC shopping, Sports TV, This TV, Laff TV, etc. CHECK IT OUT!  Our advice, regardless of who may actually be calling: Ditch DTV and lose the aggravation as well! Might still have to block this #.

I don’t answer numbers I don’t recognize. No message was left. I’ve never had Direct TV. AT&T is not my cell or landline provider so being on the DNC register they shouldn’t be calling

I have been receiving phone call from them every 30 minutes. I keep telling them "No" and to quit calling. They are harassing me about their Direct TV promotions. They all speak with a very heavy Indian accent. They have called 7 times already today

Received call form Direct TV. The man on the other side of the call wanted to know if I was getting a picture on my tv. I ask him why he wanted this information and he told it was because I had called them. I would not give his the answer he wanted. For the main reason, I don't have Direct TV. He continued to question me and I finally told him that I was done with this conversation. I hung up. 30 seconds later he called back, asking the same questions. Again I told him not to call back. He insisted that I called and even gave me my wife's name and street address. I can assure you that my wife does not make any call for any service. The TV service is all left up to me. I finally became rea mad at him and told him not to call again. I even called him a name, I hung up. He called back and told me the conversation was being recorded and he was going to use that to sue me. I inform him that he was the one who was calling me and if he continued to call I was going to file a compliant against him and Direct TV for harassment. In turn, he told me this was going to be very bad for me since I called a very terrible name. I ended the call with just a hang up. If I call my cable company it is because I have a problem with the service, not vice versa. Some people have nothing to do was harass others to cheat them out of $$$. Get a real job!!!
