- DarI got taken to. I never looked on the back of my WF statement where it showed the charge and just happen to notice it. I NEVER authorized the Insurance and never received a policy. I just called National Union Fire Ins. co. and told them to refund my money that it was NOT authorized and how did they get my bank account number. They will refund some of it now and maybe more later!!!!!!! I also called WF to complain to them and closed my account.

- Danielle| 1 replyNational Union Fire Insurance charged $23.95 on my credit/debit card. I've never even heard of them. Not by phone or by mail or the internet. I called the number as it appeared on my bank statement. They insisted that I had a policy with them, though they didn't give me a policy number and I forgot to ask for one. They said that I had purchased health insurance with them through Wachovia Bank on January 6th. (Wachovia is connected to Wells Fargo now) They agreed to refund my money within ten business days and to take me out of their data base. The confirmation number sounded phoney, as someone else here has pointed out it was just the CSR's initials and the date I called them. I then called Wachovia and told them about the charge and that it supposedly originated through them. They said "What?!" They have put a stop payment on the charge and have blocked that company from being able to charge anything else on my account. If I don't get my refund in 10 days I will have to talk to the Wachovia fraud department and go through the whole hassle of getting a new credit/debit card issued, which burns me up because I just went through this with another fraudulent charge to my old card just a few months ago. I hate these bastids!
- Mbrown replies to vicki| 1 replyI noticed NUF IPP INS 800 on my US Bank statement for the past two months. I asked about this at the local US Bank office. I then read statements on the internet and called 800-781-8379 and a CSR immediately was on the phone. He reported this is a Income Protected Plus plan for a person who becomes totally disabled and will also pay for doctor visits. This plan became effective in Jul. 2010. Since I have been to doctors in November and December, I asked what I need to do. He reported to give them the dates of the doctor visits and they will send out a claim form. I will see how this goes.
- Danielle replies to DanielleMy online statement shows that NUF Ins. refunded the amount to my account. Good. I hope everyone else gets their money back as well. I would still like to know how they got my bank card information.

- CarolI also got a call about this insurance. Just to get the person off the phone I accepted and am waiting for the info to come so I can cancel. They also said they were with Wells Fargo. After reading the entries on this site I called to put a privacy notice on our account. Because we have a mortgage only with Wells they kept transferring me. Someone finally said all I have to do is call as soon as I receive the info and they will put the stop on my account. They did not know or would not transfer me to the Privacy Area. She guaranteed that the charge would be taken off my account.

- Sonny| 2 repliesI have just realized that I have been dupped for the last year and a half. I saw the charge in the past and thought it was a charge for one my wife's accounts. I have not agreed to any service from this company or from wells fargo. This is steeling with style on wells fargo's part. I will call first thing in the morning, I ma so furious about this right now. They owe me back $375 and they better pay me back. Has anyone gotten their money back?

- Charissa replies to YUBIN| 4 repliesThis place is a joke, when my husband got a letter wanting him to accept this, he wrote on the letter, "denied". They still charged us. We called the company and the gal wouldnt even let me cancel..she said she had to talk to my husband. Then she tried to talk him into keeping it..we got nothing from them. No gift card, no packet..no nothing.
- viki replies to turtle123| 1 replythis is not a scam. we work for the post office and have had this extra ins for 3 years. this$16.00 a month policy pays you to go to the dr up to 4 times a year, if you file your claims right,it ends up paying you MORE than you paid in. Read the info or have them send it to you again. I think this is the best small policy we have ever had
- viki replies to TD-an International traveller| 2 repliesthis is the best small policy we have ever had, if you read how they pay out, you will find that you can get more back than what you paid in, they have paid us claims just fine, read the info before bashing a company

- Theresa Romero| 2 repliesI get telemarker calls and never, ever take them, because of a bad experience in the past. I noticed the charge on my bank account yesterday and called the number listed with the amount. They said that I bought some kind of insurance with them when they called me. They couldn't tell me what kind of insurance! They said they sent me two letters sng I needed to contact them to cancel. I am sure it just looked like junk mail, so I am sure I tossed it out. I am absolutely positive I never signed up for this, as I have a solid policy to never buy anything a telemarketer calls with. I do remember that recently I received three calls in the last couple of weeks from someone saying congratulations, and that I had been approved for "the" policy. I told these callers that I didn't know what they were talking about and to send me any information by e-mail. This company said these calls the last couple of weeks were not from them. The last time I got one of these calls, I asked them if they were the ones who had been charging my account, and they said no. The girl spoke very sweetly and asked me how I got my email to have my name at the last part and I told her because I have my own website and my own domain name. She said she'd send me some info by email, but then told me the only way to sign up is by phone, and I replied that I would not ever do that, and she said okay, nevermind. Now I do wonder if this is all part of the same scam. We ought to get together and file a claim together. This is fraud, plain and simple.

- Barbi replies to SeamonkeyDon't expect any money from them! I was railroaded into taking out a policy with that scam outfit,I had 3 trips to a Dr. and 2 trips to the hospital. Thinking great I'm glad I have that insurance! Filled out all the paper work, 2 months went by ; Ifinally got aletter from them, can not pay on these claims- not enough info. I didn't hear anything from them untill they called & said that they withdrew about 300.00 from my bank account for late fees and overdue policy payments! If anyone reads this DO NOT be fooled by their great ins. deal!!!
