SCAM ALERT BEWARE:  CRIMINALS - 800-MEDICARE-Criminals looking for gullible SENIOR victims.  Old scam to get personal information and Credit Card info.

CID 800-Medicare.  Indian subcontinent accent, with a touch of British.   A new benefit qualifies me for a free back brace.  Claims his company is Simple Medical out of NY He wanted to know my size.

There is such a company and they sell a one size fits all back brace.  Undoubtedly if I stayed on the line he would ask for my credit card to cover shipping.

Caller ID indicated 1 800 Medicare.  The caller asked for my wife by her first name.  I asked who was calling and the man said he was "Mark and he was calling from Orthopedic Medical."  I asked if this was "yet another of the BS brace calls" we kept getting and he hung up.  Usually we get these calls as a robocall with the message that Medicare will pay for a free brace.  The call says to press "1" to continue or press "2" to opt out.  I choose option #3, which is to hang up.

Valid number for Medicare. You should know that Medicare does not call you unless they are returning a customer's phone call.

Gee, this has been going on for over 10 years and Individual-1 hasn't done diddly.

Apparently comes out of "HG Pilot TN".

Many scams but currently pushing back braces.

Received two calls 15 minutes apart from this number.  No message was left.  So I conclude this is another spammer.

Received a couple of calls from caller ID 1-800-Medicare.  So obviously phony I did not answer.  No message.

Did not  answer because I didn't recognize the number so I let it go to voicemail. The message that was left was a recording and it wasn't someone claiming to be from medicare like in other posts here. The recording said that I was being called back ( I never ever called them!!!) and it was about making $10,000 in 10 to 13 days!!! ( yeah right, NOT ) I have gotten this exact same recording from other numbers, must be another scam going around using different numbers with the same recording. Another number for my blocked list.

Call rec'd today, 04-15-2019, and I also noticed in my files a call on 01-22-2019. No message left in either case. We need the technology to unmask spoofed calls.

SCAM ALERT ---- Live person "Brad Smith" -- "you have a Medicare benefit coming to you -- a back brace".
I told him -- how stupid can you be when your cohorts just got rounded up in a raid.  He hung up.
My question is how did these crooks spoof the real Medicare phone number to make it look like it was a legitimate call?

Got a call on my husband's phone that I answered and once I said I was his wife the guy started asking me me our address & if 3 different email addresses were mine? Then I asked what is the name of your company and he giggled. I could tell he was in a call room because I could hear others talking on the phone. Then he just started ranting out home addresses that were supposed to be mine & was naming off my siblings names and my father who is deceased, I didn't tell him those were my siblings, but it was weird and I hung up. I did call the number back k and it was Actually Medicare's number and I told the guy what had happened and he said no Medicare would not call us. Then I looked online to see if there was any info and yes there was it's a scam! Trying to get money from people.

Called, no message left.

Call rec'd 4-23-19, this makes the 5th one received from these gimokes.

Know that this is a scam call, so did not answer let it go to answering machine left no message.  This has to be close to twenty calls from this scam
