I blocked this number years ago and yet they still call and get hung up immediately by my call blocker box. I checked the call blocker box and these scammers have called my phone 186 times in a 4+ year period. My wife nor I are old enough for Medicare and we've had the same phone number for 28 years now. Keep calling me scammers because my phone never rings once I block your number!

Very glad this website is here. Got one of these spam calls, I asked from proof if this was really medicare and they gave me 1-800-633-4227 which, while on the phone, I checked here. Thanks for the heads up on the spammer, I told them if it was really medicare, to call me back, and hung up.

Unless you have gone online to the official Medicare site, created an account, and have signed up for paperless notifications, Medicare sends letters and does not call you.  In the former case you will receive notifications, your yearly Medicare guide book, and other pertinent information via your registered email address.

I had dealings with Medicare In December and this is the number Medicare said they would be calling back on and they did state it would not indicate a name, but show unavailable.  My problem was taken care of in December from this number.  Today in January this number called, but I did not answer.  I felt they would leave a message if it was truly Medicare calling, although they have no reason to contact me.  The caller just hung up, no message.  If they want to reach me, they can send me a letter.

Has called us several times over the last few weeks (and never ever leaves a message). I had been told previously that Medicare would never call me at home (much like the IRS never calls) and that I should ignore the call (again just like ignoring the IRS calls).  Seniors beware............ even though the # that appears on your caller id is a valid Medicare phone #, the call is not.  The scammers (via computer software) are spoofing a valid #.  When in doubt, call Medicare directly.

    Smart senior
They just called me, saying they were changing over to plastic cards. When I told the man that this was a scam call he called me the " B " word and hung up.  I knew it was a scam from the start because Medicare does not call you.
