I continue to receive calls from Wells Fargo Home Mortgage within a day of my due date.  The payment is always paid by the 15th day.  I receive 2 - 3 calls a day

You need to send them a cease & desist letter via certified US mail that way they can not say they didn't get it.  Please read up on your rights and what to do also. You can get a free template online, just google it.

A female caller identified herself as "Tiffany" and claimed to be from "Wells Fargo Home Mortgage". She refused to give any other information. She refused to give her company address. She refused to give her company phone number. She refused to give her last name. She refused to say why she was calling. She said that my number was "on an account" and that she was "using an autodialer". She refused to say why my phone number would be "on an account" and she refused to say anything about the "account". This appears to be a typical debt-collection scam; they have called my number about 500 times using various names including "IC SYSTEM", "BCR", "HSBC", "Washington Mutual", "ACR", "Bureau of Collection Recovery", "Allied Interstate", "NCC Business Services", "NCO Financial Systems", "ARM", "Accounts Receiveable Management", "Enhanced Recovery Corporation", "Chrysler Financial", "Marc Research", "MCM, Inc.", "Account Services", "Portfolio Recovery Associates", "Regional Adjustment Bureau", "GMC", "AR Management", "Capital Management Services", "Valentine & Kerbartis", "Juniper Bank", "Apple Credit", "Nelson, Watson, & Associates", "Malcolm S. Gerald", "American Dreamcard", "FMA Alliance", "GC Services Limited Partnership", "Midland Credit Management", "United Collection Bureau, Inc.", and "Chase Student Loans". I do not have any debts and have never had any bad debt. This is just a scam like the other hundreds of calls. I reported them to the Maryland Attorney General's office, the FTC, and will report them to Maryland Commissioner of Financial Regulation.

The same scammer has now called twice using the same apparently faked caller ID information claiming to be Wells Fargo Home Mortgage trying to collect a debt. (I have no business relationship with Wells Fargo and no debts.) I have file complaints with the FTC's DoNotCall list (which is totally useless) and with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (probably useless) and with the Maryland Attorney General's office (hopefully not useless). If this is not some kind of an illegal scam, and really is Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, then they are violating numerous federal and state laws by repeatedly calling someone on the DoNotCall list who has no debts.

This same scammer has called for the fourth workday in a row. I have filed additional complaints with the appropriate federal and state regulators.

I get these calls several times a day. I do have an account with them as well as my mortgage(but we are up to date on mortgage and aren't having any issues with our account.). It may be a scammer, but then it may not be. Wells Fargo DOES indeed own this number...

    BUT...

Remember that ANY number can be SPOOFED, meaning that even though Wells Fargo does own this number, that doesn't mean that it is actually Wells Fargo calling you when it shows up on your ID. A spoofer can pay to change what comes up on your ID very easily. Even I, myself can pose as Wells Fargo and call you from that same number from my own home phone! This is what spoofing is folks. The bottom line is this, if you have an account or mortgage with them and there may be a reason for them to call you, then let the phone ring and then YOU call THEM back. NEVER answer the phone and give out any info to them if they call from this number. Scammers, phishers, etc...are getting a lot smarter in trying to get you to give away your personal info! You have to stay one step ahead of them.

Received a call from 800-678-7986 . They didn't leave a message, which is odd if they are legit.  Kinda suspicious since we own our home free and clear and we don't bank with them and never have!

I am going to contact them myself and ask about this number calling our home number.

I will not call the number that was on our caller ID but I will call the Wells Fargo Bank in our city.

If someone is spoofing the number to make it look like it came from Wells Fargo and you call them back using that number, just be careful. Personally, if you bank with Wells Fargo, just look at your statement and call a number that's listed. Better to be safe than sorry!!

Yes, this is Wells Fargo or someone who has been hired by Wells Fargo.  They are extremely annoying and they do NOT keep notes regarding previous calls.  I pay my mortgage in two monthly payments (approved by Wells Fargo) but their systems have not caught up with this revolutionary concept, so a partial payment will trigger a collection call.  One day this week, I had 37 calls in one day.  One representative told me "We are required to call you every day until this matter is settled," by which I can only assume means "until this 30-year mortgage is paid in full."  My question "required by whom?" was left unanswered.  I will answer the first call each day just to be polite, but the calls continue all day.  Caller assures me (after reading the disclaimer about how "this call is an attempt to collect a debt") that my mortgage is not behind, but my partial payment will not be credited to my account until the second installment is received (I know this.  I signed something to that effect when the payment schedule was first arranged, because WF purchased my mortgage, twice, from more reputable lenders), and would I like to authorize an electronic debit over the phone TODAY?  Don't EVER authorize this!  Authorizing ONE debit with Wells Fargo authorizes them to withdraw what ever they want, when ever they want, and they can only waive the debit transaction fee ($35) once over the life of your loan.   Caller then assures me that he or she will make a note on the account that we spoke, but they NEVER DO this.  Sometimes a Wells-Fargo call goes to call-waiting when I'm speaking to Wells Fargo.

Instead of harassing people, these callers should go to training to learn how to make notations on accounts.  Think of the money they could save by not calling the same person 37 times in one day!!

Yes, this is from Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and it is a legitimate call. I looked it up after I got a call because I didn't know who it was from. However, after reading these posts I realize it is from them. I made a partial payment a few days ago and although I just made a full payment, it probably hasn't posted yet. Those who are getting calls who (claim) they have no mortgage with them are probably getting them because their number is close to someone who does and the number was entered into the computer incorrectly.

I started getting calls from this number this week. I wasn't home to answer the first few times and the same automated message was left, talking about my mortgage. I have never done any business with Wells Fargo.

The last two days, I have answered the call and a man with a heavy foreign accent asked to speak to the patriarch of the household. I say, "Excuse me??" and the weasel quickly hangs up. There is no way this is legit.

This number is calling my fiancé's CORPORATE office claiming to be wells fargo! I called wells fargo TWICE, the REAL wellsfargo and they repeatedly searched and told me that they DO NOT call out from that number. SCAM, SCAM SCAM SCAM! DO NOT ENTER ANYTHING. If you want to talk to someone DONT ENTER THE LAST 4 of your SS #, just wait and wait until you get to talk to someone. I got to talk to someone and chewed them out because they continued to ask for MORE information!
