LOL, I call this number all the time to make my Wells Fargo payments.

They call my cell phone looking for my mother. I live six hours away. They did the same to my brother looking for my dad. They leave voicemails but it is the EXACT SAME MESSAGE EVERYTIME!!!!!

I googled Wells Fargo on the internet and called the bank directly. They said this is a scam.

Never give any information to these people- they are slick, beware.

Wells Fargo has great branches intelligent personnel, but their mortgage servicing is very poor, the staff at the branches are not trained and the "servicing center" never understands the statues.  The home affordability act was to help people, but when you ask Wells Fargo questions about mortgage insurance, title insurance and other issues they have no idea, just very poor training.  Often Wells will make promises and document the system but the promise fails then it takes several inquires before you find someone able to find the last note.
Perhaps they just need a new training director that understands mortgage, maybe as simple as escrow and other laws... good luck to everyone with a Wells Fargo account...

You have to send a certified letter then it it illegal for them to call!

Same as Becca on the last page said, we get calls from them before the grace period is over. We've paid between the 10th and 15th of the month every month for a decade without problem, now suddenly they're sending texts and calling 7-8 times a day before the grace period is over, just to harass us for being late. When did they start this? Surely this violates the Fair Debt Collection Act to bother people for a debt when it's not even past due.

This "Wells Fargo" number just called here & I KNOW we don't have a home mortgage witht them. We're a non-profit organization. Now, tell me this isn't a scam...

Just came back to add that Wells Fargo continues to call even if the payment is not late, and after payment has already been made. When I answer, no one is on the other end, it just hangs up on me after a couple of seconds. I call back and get representatives who are deliberately rude, saying they have reported me to the three credit agencies, but they strangely never ask for payment. (When I told them I've paid and give them the confirmation number, both people I talked to literally didn't say anything in response. Just silence.) I've compiled records of all the times they've called, which can be up to 12 times a day, and am finishing up a letter to my state's Attorney General, and have already done an FDCPA complaint online. I've asked Wells Fargo to stop harassing us since we're not late on our bills, but they refuse to comply. This is deliberate harassment, but why? Is it just incompetence?

I don't have a home mortgage and never had one. Why the hell are they calling me?

I received three calls in three days from this number claiming to be Wells Fargo regarding my late home mortgage payment. This is either a scam or a major error since I do not nor have I ever had a mortgage.

If this is really Wells Fargo Home Mortgage @ 800-678-7986 they need to start learning how to leave  a messag.

Just received a call from this number and they did not leave a message.  I do not have a home mortgage with Wells-Fargo. My husband does, but I just verified with him that this month's payment is not late.  Weird.
