This company is not a scam, nor a solicitation call. This company is a major financial instituion that finances over 200 different credit cards. so, if you are getting a call from this #, it is most likely the bank trying to get ahold of you, so they can get their money back!!!! :)

800-695-7444 called my LL 10/5/15 8:29 pm (AZ MST) no msg left. cid - toll free - I have no debts out, have had a couple calls from  614-212-5297 'Comenity' (whoever they are) with nobody on line = don't intend to answer any more...

I keep getting called from different people, but always from same number 1800-695-7444 with different extensions.. It's really annoying since I've been on bed rest since May and unable to work.. Are these people for real? Cuz they keep leaving me threatening voicemails saying " I or my attorney need to call them today or else.." To top it all off the extension is always 7 or more numbers long..this to me sounds like fake calls..but this is really annoying and I'm getting worried that something will happen?..

Do not respond to their calls or give them any information over the telephone. It may not be the actual company you owe

They are basically the "pre-legal" department for Comenity.  I talked to these people less than a week ago.  The rep I spoke with a week ago said that she was going to push this out for 30 days and that I needed to call her back with some information.  Great. Right?  WRONG.  I received TWO phone calls in the last four days from this office stating that this is now going to an attorney for review.  So much for 30 days....   Called this lady back and wasn't too happy.
Told her the information I was supposed to call that rep back with was my bankruptcy attorney information, once we were fully (and legally) represented - because even I know that saying you're going to file bankruptcy and saying you're "talking" to an attorney means nothing until you're officially represented.
At any rate, these blood hounds are relentless.
SIDE NOTE:  WATCH WHAT PHONE NUMBER YOU CALL THEM FROM.  They automatically put it in their system, even without your permission.

It's Comenity Bank, aka the bank that issues Lane Bryant (and I'm sure many other) credit cards. We lost an income and are behind on bills.

I received a call today around the same lines posted in previous comments. They are Comenity Bank... For me it was in regards to my Victoria Secrets account. I have had some financial problems the last few months and have not been able to pay. If Comentiy calls from this number and not the others they call from it is most likely because the account is on the verge of being transferred to a third party. I called the number back (a little nervous because I wasn't positive who was calling) I talked with Robert who called and he was very nice. I set up reasonable payments and won't have them calling anymore.

Comenity is calling my job, and my son who doesn't live with me.

FDCPA governs "3rd party collections" if theirs not a 3rd party involved...aka the bank is calling you directly they don't have to follow FDCPA..most do but it's not a law that governs first party collections.

Received a call from "Mr. Hunter," saying that I needed to call right away due for some "important matters" and that if I didn't contact him back he would be "forced to make a decision that will impact me negatively." I did not return the call since he sounded very unprofessional in addition to me not having any loans or debt.

Called saying I need to have my lawyer contact them- gave no reason why they were calling.

Abuse!!! My card has only a $300 limit.is had $128.56 on it, then found out I had AML, which is caner and have battling that, 30 days in the hospital then 30 days home to recuperate, for a total of 6 times. Can't work, have no energy to do anything, and noel I owe over $500. Constant calls, even though I have explained my situation and sent letter from doctor, but I'm the abuser? You should not assume what people'say situationso are. Shame on you. I have enough to worry about, and that $128.56 item has cost me over $500 and damaged my credit.

SCAM! You can hear it is a "boiler room" and some uneducated guy is reading a script of careful wording that sounds like you have a debt but does not cross that line.
Do not reply to this scum. Report the 800# to the Feds.
They block the caller ID so you can not block the caller, then they give you a 800 number and a very long extension that probably sends your call overseas.

You need to get your facts straight!!! I get calls from this number and I don't get loans and I owe nothing to anyone. I don't have any credit cards either. So... let me hear your nonsense spill about your life!
