Got a call from 'verizon financial services' at 1 800 754 0961. they wanted my SSN which i did not give. Checked w Verizon who knows nothing about them.

This is a bogus number. like the guy above I get numerous calls from them(sometimes with a different number) they are trying to steal your identify. please send to the do not call number. I don’t know how. thanks

PHISHING!!!!!

I received today a voice mail from this number,I don't have Verizon but Sprint,also they cut the name of the person trying to contact . I investigate on Google and it says is scam.

Got this message "This is Verizon Wireless Financial Services with an urgent service alert. Please call us back within 24 hours to resolve a change in the status of the account belonging to XXXX. Please call us today at 1-800-754-0961. Where you will be prompted to enter your 10 Digit Reference # 336 501-7368. Once again the number to call is 1-800-754-0961 and the reference number is 336-501-7368."

NOTE: I'll call them direct before calling that back or login to my account.  NEVER EVER GIVE YOUR INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE TO ANYONE.

Have received calls with local (520, 480) area codes for past 2wks, msgs left claim to be from vzn type voice looking for "Sandra Phyllis" to resolve a change to accnt. Then will give return call #'s of 1-80-754-0961 or 1-877-234-8334 with ref # almost my cphone #. Went to a physical vzn store and they checked my accnt, up to date no changes made, nothing pending. Manager said it was a phishing scam. Today received another call, msg left was "(wrong name) contact (first above number) within next 24 hours to resolve this matter." Auto dialed vzn on my phone, spoke with billing, NOTHING pending on my accnt, stated calls not valid vzn. Have contacted AZ Attorney Generals office to file a "phishing/scam" complaint. Let them deal with it, that is their job.

Called my wife's cell claiming to be Verizon & to call them about account payment.  We got auto deduct.  Oh, & I'm supposed to call back w/in 24 hrs! I smell scam, just like all the others on these 27+ pages of complaints.

My wife's cell rec'd another call from 2482602215 asking me to call the 800 # w/in 24 hrs about my verizon financial account.  Informed that my ref # is my wife's phone #.  This smells!

I got the same call.  Called the number back and it is no longer in service.

My wife got the same call yesterday.  I contacted Verizon via chat and that number is NOT theirs.  Clearly a scam.

Have received 24 calls in the last 7 days alone from this scam.

They called me all last week at a different number and asked for someone else, Renee Weisberg, which is not my name, and
said they were Verizon Wireless Fiancial Services calling about her account and to call back within 24 hours. Today they called again and left a the same number most of you guys were told to call. And here it is 2018 and they are still doing it. I talked to Verizon unwanted calls, and they said these are not their numbers. And they told me to report it to the FTC. But these calls have gone on for years and nothing happens to these clowns. Now I will call the FBI. I am tired of these idiots wasting my time.

Keeps calling my home phone number and I cancelled my Verizon wireless account I no longer have an account

9/22/18 got a call and they said it was regarding my sons financial account and to call them back at 1800-754-0961 so the scam is still going on. my son and I are on the same phone package. Looks like the problem is Verizon info being hacked

Apparently, they are still using this number 10 years later. I just got a text with same number (800-754-0961) and they now provide a link to click within the text message. The message was" Your wireless account is past due. It is important you make payment within 24 hours at hhtps://m.verizon.com/m/paybill or call 800-754-0961."

I would not call or click the link.  If you are unsure of any message of this type...call the company with a number you know.

It is Verizon financial (billing)

I logged into my Verizon account, my Credit Card had expired and I was past due.  The number is legitimate.
