- 800-763-8517 and ext. 5595/ 5583I recieved a call about 5 minutes ago from both a "OSCAR WILLIAMS" and "ERIC SMITH" who says that they are "CREATIVE DIRECTORS" from Explore Talent. They all had a very THICK accent. They offered multiple auditions for movie roles, commercials, photo shoots for companies (e.g. Baby Phat), and sitcom roles (e.g. 90210 on the CW). At the end of the conversation, they asked me to pay a fee of $120 for six months/$199 for a year to activate my profile. This was definitely a scam, and I am glad that other people reported similar incidents on this website as well!!!!!

- JMKThis "creative director" shirley peterson hit me up a couple days ago so i hit her back up and we talk and what not, till she asked me for money, and when she said the deadline just so happened to be that time i called her i knew something was up man, it sounded too much like another scam i almost fell for for financial aid. I had my card with me but i wasnt giving her my info and she was going so far as to tell me to ask my mother for her card info, so i faked that i was calling my mom but i called my sister and before i could even finish she was like HANG UP THE PHONE so i told her thanks but no thanks and hung up

- Danielle replies to Gina| 1 replySo its Not A Scam right? Cause I Got The Same Call From Sherly Peterson and She Gave Me This Number 1-800-763-8517 ex. 5074 and His Name Is Jason. He told Me That I Had 2 Casting Calls In Detroit, Michigan And Then He Hung Up And I Called Him Back And He Said That Sherly Was Going To Call Me. But so Far She Has Not Called Me Back. So I Dunno If This Is A Scam Or What.
- DelbertI got the call today from Explore Talent, talking about a Casting Call. They said I had signed up on their website, which I do remember doing. The Gent I talked to had a Heavy Indian Accent. I would say from Armenia, from the pronunciations. He said His name was Brian Williams and that I had been selected, due to My Haunted House career and from My pictures. I had failed to finish My application, and the only way they could get Me into the casting call was if I completed the $70.00 application fee. I hope that is enough info to help future ppl avoid this.

- EeezyBreezyA man by the name Jon, also a Creative Director, from Explore Talent called and left this this number in my voice mail ext. 559. Apparently, I've been matched with auditions thus making his phone call a very important one. I just checked my explore talent profile, there's no picture uploaded (but i sent it to them a while back..just never uploaded it). So how is it possible that I've been matched for auditions in my area?? After reading these posts, I tried to close my free membership on exploretalent.com but was denied because they claim it to be "a free membership" and "unnecessary"? What?!?This is crazy. If it's too good to be true..it probably is!

- reesemd| 1 replyYeah I just received a phone call from this guy, he said his name was Eric smith and then he changed it to Eric Stalin. And I really couldn't understand him, because he had a heavy accent and it sounded like a Middle Eastern accent. He told me that I had matched for a lot of auditions on a website called explore talent, and I do have a page on this website, but the only contact info available is my email, so I'm not exactly sure how they got my cell phone number. And he also knew where I said which was also strange. But he got frustrated when I said I wasn't going to pay him any money up front and he got off the phone. He told me he was a senior executive creator and that i could call him back at 1800-76308517 ext 5583.

- DD replies to Officer WatsonI just received a call last night on my cell. The guy had a very thick accent and also very hard to understand. He said he was Creative Director with Explore Talent and his name was Neil Johnson. The call back number he gave me was 800-763-8517. I was skeptical anyway so I googled the number and came acrossed these posts. Thanks for having this info. I figured it was a scam but now I know it is.

- Not Falling for it replies to K.D.I just received a call as well. I did log on to explore talent, but I was looking to do stage sets etc. I wasn't interested in acting or modeling. They wanted $120 for 6 months to activate my profile or $70 for 3 months. The rep also said they would send me business cards and there was all sorts of acting positions in my area. Angela said that I have already lost out on opportunities since I didn't activate my membership already. She said she wanted me to call her back if I could come up with the money. I asked her why they were hiring people for acting jobs without acting experience. She really wasn't able to answer the question. I'm glad there is Google!
- ChrisYou got to ask yourself, why do all the "agents" have heavy accents? Not everyone in Hollywood, CA have thick accents. Scammers.

"Most complainants allege unauthorized credit or debit card charges. Some customers complain that after they cancelled the service that they were still charged. Some complain that they signed up for a free membership but were later telephonically solicited and offered jobs, audition assistance, or that casting directors were interested in interviewing them but they had to sign up for a pro membership to receive more information. The company generally responds by providing explanation of their membership and cancellation policies, but in most cases provides full refunds. "
