I'm so glad this comment board is here! They've called 4-5 times a day, all the sudden, for 3 days now. I haven't ever picked up, and I'm not naive AT ALL about how phone scams work and know that a middle-eastern or African accent is almost always an indicator of a scam (actually, ALWAYS, in every case i have first hand knowledge of)! But, I actually do own a Nissan that I'm still paying for, and may have panicked thinking something was wrong... Someone also said the scammer told her "we have an important message for you from Nissan Motor Acceptance" and I've actually been getting emails in my spam folder that are headed with that same thing, word for word. I've checked the NMAC website where i do all of my bill pay and everything looks fine, and i have zero notifications... So it makes sense, for quite a bit of us that are posting, that Nissan MAC's list of at least our basic information was somehow attained by these scammers!... Blocking # now...

They have been calling for the past year to collect a debt on my Nissan Vehicle. I do have a Nissan, but have paid off the car in the past 6 months. They have been calling almost everyday for the past year. The times I have picked up the scammer (pretending to be Nissan Motors) tells me I owe over $500 on my car and that I should pay it over the phone immediately before my car falls under repossession. The first time this happened I was scared and logged onto my Nissan MAC account where I do all my billing for this car, and saw that I had fully paid off my car about a month prior. She then asked for my SS# because my name wasn't enough to find me. I told her I was not giving her my SS# and that I looked on the official Nissan MAC website and that my car had been completely paid off for a month. As soon as I told her that I checked, she hung up. To this day, they call me at least 5 times a week.

Nissan finance calling with “an important message” but not saying what!? Finally solved this... my last recurring payment never came out. I had to go through a ridiculous process to create an acct online, get a payoff quote (amount of last payment) and just scheduled a payoff for tomorrow. Hopefully it goes thru and they don’t charge me a late fee. Why wouldn’t the last payment come out just as the other 59 did?!? Same bank info etc. It makes no sense. I have less trust in this company and DO NOT recommend financing through Nissan. They said having the loan acct number or full social security number is the only way they can look up your acct. I did give mine, hopefully it doesn’t bite me. This is seriously not a good practice for a company. I don’t appreciate random call center people having access to my sensitive personal info.

Nothing surprising about it, there is 12 pages with many people already saying "Nissan", so it automatically gives the impression its their number. However, in this day & age of scammers taking over the calls you get, you can't trust the caller, so calling back on an official number would be a safe way to make sure your not scammed or give out any personal info to a scammer.

They call knowing I pay weekly as that’s when I get paid! They call family members to track you down when you have a grace period and only owe $ 23.00! They harass you until it’s paid! They need to stop!

Or you need to make your payments add up to that extra $23. You bought the car knowing what day the payment was due and how much the payment is. Now you want to unilaterally alter the contract. The due date is the due date and the grace period has nothing to do with it. Don't believe me? Contact a contract lawyer and ask him/her.

Never give any personal information like SS..if they are calling you asking for it and they wont identify themselves, Scammers are very good nowadays.

They are scams.    We got a call that said we owed a back payment——of course we do not ——we called her on it and she took us on the do not call list😲

You actually read through 4 pages of posts so that you could reply to a post clearly made in 2011?  Why?  What does "took us on the do not call list" mean?

They ask for SS# which is NOT ever required. Rec. about 10 calls in 2 days. My acct is current so this is a scam.

That is bull crap! You make arrangements for a payment and Nissan agrees to date. However if your accepted date is more than 7 days out they return to harassing your phone again  saying you have to call back in 7 days to reaffirm the agreed upon payment. They won't stop calling even after they agreed on payment granted! That is harassment by any standard!
